It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
Goddess Winter
Stallion, how is is boxed in by hwy 5? And what about the iconclast?
Ok, thanks.. I am looking at Yahoo's map, so it's not there, but good call on your part. Thanks again for the info. Will you be at Newell tonight also?
ok the only other place besides Newell is HP. It the aniversary of the carnival and it was at Highland where it was burried the first year of the carnival!! i would also
like to metion in clue 5 i think it was in the word discerning spells disc and that's is what you use to play frisbie golf. Youd almost think that for the largest sum of
money ever given for a medallion it would be in the biggest park in st.paul.
GW-Sorry, that's hwy 52, not 5. And the iconoclast comes in as someonw who breaks tradition and searches in a park where the medalion has recently been
Well i can't decide its either Newell or highland. Hmmmmmmm. Im guessing tonights clue will be big. But as i recall for how easy it was last year when they said
chair o key, and when i went there nobody was there for like 3 days in a row. so if they give a chair o key clue like that then why couldnt it be "but theres a VALUE
as WELL as IN the NEW. Coincidence? I highly doubt it!!!
Isn't an iconoclast one who fights against good or spiritual things. But would fight mean "Battle" look back to the clues from 95 and one of the clues stated that or
Sister- Good question. I don't know, and that's why I'm not out at BC right now digging. I won't do that until I'm CONVINCED it's at a park. Tonight should be
Goat - right on- numbers keep score - 9 and 5 and somewhere a 4 (right field, 3rd base & somewhere a 2nd base).... whatever park it's at, I'm thinking it's on the
the reason why i exclude it is because all the clues have to be exactly on the botton and not far fetched like the iconoclast. There is a large place in Newell Park that
is very very hard to see but easy to get there. It's surrounded by bushes and trees. im going there tonight. That large place is called Devil's Den. It's a very low spot.
you can see the ks95 radio tower from there. thats where the somewhere a four comes. 94.5. An iconoclast is a very good word for a devil. And in todays clue a
tome besides meaning a book also means one of those pitchforks that a devil uses. What do you think about that now.
Capital MAll seems good but it is not a park and the clues say park- I even checked with the downtown library...and it is just part of the capitol grounds Think
KEllogg and play with the two famous Kelloggs - cereal is from Battle Creek Mich. and the other is a very famous Kellogg from Minnesota - famous treaty he wrote
by that name to end all wars sec. of state- treaty in all encyclopedias... so..Kellogg runs by the History Center too... Name Games and the TOme I think it has to do
with Kellogg-may be pointing us to Battle Creek, not Kellogg park!
Rock, Newell is also my #1 choice currently. I think that is an excennent idea. I will probably see you there (I'll be in some of my military gear- warm). Later.
Hey did anyone see the guy with the big eyebrows at Merriam Park? I dug about 20 holes in the ice ridden snow, and nothing. It must be down on the ground

I don't know Jim...can Firemen?
Battle Creek has huge sliding hill. Plus Longfellow runs into Battle Creek Elem School. Any ideas on the adorn the front door?
Do most of you think the park HAS a golf course or does NOT have a golf course? (I know they say not to dig in it)

Rock- Although I'm not convinced yet of HP, I'll have to admit that's great logic
Hey Godess, I sure hope so! I'll know soon enough.
I like Newell for a place. I may go, but as my name says "Mommy" I can't picjk up and go. Thats why I am doing this instead of out DIGGING.
9,5,4 are baseball positions

Medallionstallion - I like your theories on BC, but what about the "old as well as the new"? How does this relate?
I just got in from Merriam Park, there were a few people out there, but nothin too great.
Huh? It's dark I cannot see you....come closer...
Hey fellas whats the good word?
Isn't an iconoclast one who fights against good or spiritual things. But would fight mean "Battle" look back to the clues from 95 and one of the clues stated that or
somthing similiar.
Q: Is this the right time on here?
Rock, I have heard lots of pros for BC.. why do you exclude it?
what about como
It HAS to be Newell!!!
Hey guys how about the capitol mall area? 94, 35e, John Ireland Blvd history center, river center in sight.
I don't think there's a park there though...is there?

helpfull
does anyone know who Newell park was named after?
First name on Newell???
Goat - right on- numbers keep score - 9 and 5 and somewhere a 4 (right field, 3rd base & somewhere a 2nd base).... whatever park it's at, I'm thinking it's on the
ballfield somewhere around 2nd base.
Just got back from Merriam. There are sliding hills there, but not much else. Going to try BC later on.
where's Newell
battle creek-near school-has baseball diamond-near, but not too close to hill-AND MORE!!!
Where in Merriam were you?

Newell's off of Pierce Butler
Webster St (tome) runs into St. Claire playground - it's got a library, and 59x addresses.... ball fields too.. I poked around at lunch..
anyone for como at all???
Lee Jay?

Hey did anyone see the guy with the big eyebrows at Merriam Park? I dug about 20 holes in the ice ridden snow, and nothing. It must be down on the ground
somewhere under the ice. Good luck (Hi Metz)
Ok jason ill be the one wearing a lakers coat and a degeneration x hat.
I've looked in three different dictionaries and I can't find one that say a "tome" is a pitchfork. Where did you read that, The Rock?
