The Scientist
Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are
I had to find you
Tell you I need you
Tell you I set you apart
Tell me your secrets
And nurse me your questions
Oh let's go back to the start
Running in circles
Coming up tails
Heads on a silence apart
Nobody said it was easy
It's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh take me back to the start
I was just guessing
At numbers and figures
Pulling your puzzles apart
Questions of science
Science and progress
Do not speak as loud as my heart
Tell me you love me
Come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start
Running in circles
Chasing our tails
Coming back as we are
Nobody said it was easy
Oh it's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be so hard
I'm going back to the start
Watching The River Flow
What's the matter with me,
I don't have much to say,
Daylight sneakin' through the window
And I'm still in this all-night cafe.
Walkin' to and fro beneath the moon
Out to where the trucks are rollin' slow,
To sit down on this bank of sand
And watch the river flow.
Wish I was back in the city
Instead of this old bank of sand,
With the sun beating down over the chimney tops
And the one I love so close at hand.
If I had wings and I could fly,
I know where I would go.
But right now I'll just sit here so contentedly
And watch the river flow.
People disagreeing on all just about everything, yeah,
Makes you stop and all wonder why.
Why only yesterday I saw somebody on the street
Who just couldn't help but cry.
Oh, this ol' river keeps on rollin', though,
No matter what gets in the way and which way the wind does blow,
And as long as it does I'll just sit here
And watch the river flow.
People disagreeing everywhere you look,
Makes you wanna stop and read a book.
Why only yesterday I saw somebody on the street
That was really shook.
But this ol' river keeps on rollin', though,
No matter what gets in the way and which way the wind does blow,
And as long as it does I'll just sit here
And watch the river flow.
Watch the river flow,
Watchin' the river flow,
Watchin' the river flow,
But I'll sit down on this bank of sand
And watch the river flow.
Fire on the mountain, run boys run The devil's in the house of the rising sun Chicken in the break pan picking at dough
Grandma does your dog bite no child no
Thanks me2! I alway's wondered what the words were to that part! :)
It's poetry in motion
She turned her tender eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony
Mmm - but she blinded me with science
"She blinded me with science!"
And failed me in biology
When I'm dancing close to her
"Blinding me with science - science!"
I can smell the chemicals
"Blinding me with science - science!"
"Science!"
"Science!"
Mmm - but it's poetry in motion
And when she turned her eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony
Mmm - but she blinded me with science
And failed me in geometry
When she's dancing next to me
"Blinding me with science - science!"
"Science!"
I can hear machinery
"Blinding me with science - science!"
"Science!"
It's poetry in motion
And now she's making love to me
The spheres are in commotion
The elements in harmony
She blinded me with science
"She blinded me with science!"
And hit me with technology
"Good heavens Miss Sakamoto - you're beautiful!"
I -I don't believe it!
There she goes again!
She's tidied up, and I can't find anything!
All my tubes and wires
And careful notes
And antiquated notions
But! - it's poetry in motion
And when she turned her eyes to me
As deep as any ocean
As sweet as any harmony
Mmm - but she blinded me with science
"She blinded me with - with science!"
She blinded me with
I've always liked it too. I had Thomas Dolby's Aliens Ate My Buickin college and liked it, but it got lost somewhere along the way.
They call her hot sauce
She's hot and spicy
But twice as nicey
Although she burn me up
They call her hot sauce
She's hotter than pepper
I would have kept her
Although she burn me up
What if fire didn't burn?
How would the lesson get learned?
You sit there like a dope until you choke on all the smoke
(smoke gets in your eyes)
Cover me in your sauce baby
Bury me in all that sauce
Smother me in your hot sauce woman
Til smoke come from your thighs
They call her hot sauce
She's hot and spicy
But twice as nicey
Although she burn me up
They call her hot sauce
She's hotter than pepper
I would have kept her
Although she burn me up
The brother in the codpiece
I seen him on the TV
I think he likes his ladies
All sweet and sugary
I'm partial to a pudding
But that's for second course
The main meal and the hors d'oeuvres
Must be smothered in hot sauce.
They call her hot sauce
She's hot and spicy
But twice as nicey
Although she burn me up
They call her hot sauce
She's hotter than pepper
I would have kept her
Although she burn me up - oh!
What if steam didn't scold?
When would the story be told?
She sat and smoked a fag
While I was gagging on the shag
(shag gets in your eyes) - yes!
Lemme get lost in your sauce baby
Cover me in your sauce
Lemme get lost in your hot sauce woman
There was a fire truck attending
The smoke pouring from her nose
Her state of mind depending
On which way the wind blowed
Chili and tobasco
Dripping on my shirt
I couldn't breathe - I couldn't see
I had to call a smog alert.

Man, my baby's long
Great gosh almighty my baby's tall
You know my baby's long
Great gosh almighty my baby's tall
Yeah my baby she's long
My baby she's tall
She's sleepin' with her head in the kitchen
And her feet's out in the hall
Crazy 'bout her
That hard headed woman of mine
Well i love my baby
She's so fine
But i wish she'd come and see me some time
She don't believe in our love, ah
Look whatta hole i'm in
She don't believe what i'm sayin'
Kid look whatta shape i'm in
Huh-huh
She caught the katy
And left me a mule to ride
She caught the katy
And left me a mule to ride
Well my baby caught the katy
Left me a mule to ride
The train pulled out
I swung on behind
Crazy 'bout that hard headed woman
Hard headed woman of mine
Huh-huh, huh-huh
"those are my best goggles!"
Heh. Goes well with my avatar.
"Go back to bed, old man. You've got a long day of drinking and beating me tommorow."
"You're right, goat. Good night."
Them good ole boys were drinking whiskey and rye
Singing this'll be the day that I die
This'll be the day that I die
Did you write the book of love
And do you have faith in God above
If the Bible tells you so?
Now do you believe in rock and roll?
Can music save your mortal soul?
And can you teach me how to dance real slow?
Well, I know that you're in love with him
'cause I saw you dancing in the gym
You both kicked off your shoes
Man, I dig those rhythm and blues
I was a lonely teenage broncin' buck
With a pink carnation and a pickup truck
But I knew I was out of luck
The day the music died
I started singing(*)
Now, for ten years we've been on our own
And moss grows fat on a rolling stone
But that's not how it used to be
When the jester sang for the king and queen
In a coat he borrowed from James Dean
And a voice that came from you and me
Oh and while the king was looking down
The jester stole his thorny crown
The courtroom was adjourned
No verdict was returned
And while Lenin read a book on Marx
The quartet practiced in the park
And we sang dirges in the dark
The day the music died
We were singing(*)
Helter skelter in a summer swelter
The birds flew off with a fallout shelter
Eight miles high and falling fast
Landed foul on the grass
The players tried for a forward pass
With the jester on the sidelines in a cast
Now the half-time air was sweet perfume
While sergeants played a marching tune
We all got up to dance
Oh, but we never got the chance
'Cause the players tried to take the field
The marching band refused to yield
Do you recall what was revealed
The day the music died?
We started singing(*)
Oh, and there we were all in one place
A generation lost in space
With no time left to start again
So come on Jack be nimble, Jack be quick
Jack Flash sat on a candlestick
'Cause fire is the devil's only friend
And as I watched him on the stage
My hands were clenched in fists of rage
No angel born in hell
Could break that Satan's spell
And as the flames climbed high into the night
To light the sacrificial rite
I saw Satan laughing with delight
The day the music died
He was singing(*)
I met a girl who sang the blues
And I asked her for some happy news
But she just smiled and turned away
I went down to the sacred store
Where I'd heard the music years before
But the man there said the music wouldn't play
And in the streets the children screamed
The lovers cried, and the poets dreamed
But not a word was spoken
The church bells all were broken
And the three men I admire most
¡¡the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost
They caught the last train for the coast
The day the music died
And they were singing(*)
another loooonnnnnnnnnggggggggg song
::yawn::
good movie though :)
now you got me hungry...anyone got some whipcream and cherries? ;)
AREEEEEZ?
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
If you don't feel good, there's a way you could
Don't sit there broken hearted (sit there broken hearted)
Call all your friends in the neighborhood
And get the party started (get the party started)
Don't let 'em tell you that there's too much noise
They're too old to really understand
You'll still get rowdy with the girls and boys
'cause it's time for you to take a stand, yeah, yeah
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
You've got to have a party
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Turn it up louder
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Everybody shout it now
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Oh yeah
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Hear it gettin' louder
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
And everybody shout it now
Shout it, shout it, shout it out loud
Chances thrown
nothing's free
longing for what used to be
still it's hard
hard to see
fragile lives
shattered dreams
GO!
Jannie had a chance, well she really did
instead she dropped out and had a couple of kids
mark still lives at home cuz he's got no job
he just plays guitar and smokes a lot of pot
Jay committed suicide
Brandon ODed and died
What the hell is goin on?
The cruelest dream, reality
Chances thrown
nothing's free
longing for what used to be
still it's hard
hard to see
fragile lives
shattered dreams
GO!
Chances thrown
nothing's free
longing for what used to be
still it's hard
hard to see
fragile lives
shattered dreams
GO!
Had to throw this one in since we are going to KISS & Aerosmith in november.
Beth, I hear you callin’
But I can’t come home right now
Me and the boys are playin’
And we just can’t find the sound
Just a few more hours
And I’ll be right home to you
I think I hear them callin’
Oh, beth what can I do
Beth what can I do
You say you feel so empty
That our house just ain’t a home
And I’m always somewhere else
And you’re always there alone
Just a few more hours
And I’ll be right home to you
I think I hear them callin’
Oh, beth what can I do
Beth what can I do
Beth, I know you’re lonely
And I hope you’ll be alright
’cause me and the boys will be playin’
All night
That's my favorite Offspring song.
If you can play on the fiddle
How's about a British jig and reel?
Speaking King's English in quotation
As railhead towns feel the steel mills rust water froze
In the generation
Clear as winter ice
This is your paradise
There ain't no need for ya
Go straight to hell boys
Y'wanna join in a chorus
Of the Amerasian blues?
When it's Christmas out in Ho Chi Minh City
Kiddie say papa papa papa papa-san take me home
See me got photo photo
Photograph of you
Mamma Mamma Mamma-san
Of you and Mamma Mamma Mamma-san
Lemme tell ya 'bout your blood bamboo kid.
It ain't Coca-Cola it's rice.
Straight to hell
Oh Papa-san
Please take me home
Oh Papa-san
Everybody they wanna go home
So Mamma-san says
You wanna play mind-crazed banjo
On the druggy-drag ragtime U.S.A.?
In Parkland International
Hah! Junkiedom U.S.A.
Where procaine proves the purest rock man groove
and rat poison
The volatile Molatov says-
PSSST...
HEY CHICO WE GOT A MESSAGE FOR YA...
VAMOS VAMOS MUCHACHO
FROM ALPHABET CITY ALL THE WAY A TO Z, DEAD, HEAD
Go straight to hell
Can you really cough it up loud and strong
The immigrants
They wanna sing all night long
It could be anywhere
Most likely could be any frontier
Any hemisphere
No man's land
There ain't no asylum here
King Solomon he never lived round here
Let's go out to hunt by numbers.
Tabby, spotted, black as coal -
Serval, margy, caracal.
Moggie in the moonlight listens:
Whiskered sensory miracle.
Felis, befriend us -
Egyptian mau - freya's familiar.
Long in the future -
Cloned disciples, the castle guard.
Now, let's go out and hunt by numbers.
You got a lotta nerve
To say you are my friend
When I was down
You just stood there grinning
You got a lotta nerve
To say you got a helping hand to lend
You just want to be on
The side that's winning
You say I let you down
You know it's not like that
If you're so hurt
Why then don't you show it
You say you lost your faith
But that's not where it's at
You had no faith to lose
And you know it
I know the reason
That you talk behind my back
I used to be among the crowd
You're in with
Do you take me for such a fool
To think I'd make contact
With the one who tries to hide
What he don't know to begin with
You see me on the street
You always act surprised
You say, "How are you?" "Good luck"
But you don't mean it
When you know as well as me
You'd rather see me paralyzed
Why don't you just come out once
And scream it
No, I do not feel that good
When I see the heartbreaks you embrace
If I was a master thief
Perhaps I'd rob them
And now I know you're dissatisfied
With your position and your place
Don't you understand
It's not my problem
I wish that for just one time
You could stand inside my shoes
And just for that one moment
I could be you
Yes, I wish that for just one time
You could stand inside my shoes
You'd know what a drag it is
To see you
Verse 1: b-real
I remember the time them ------ tried to get me (i ain't havin' it)
Throw your hands in the air, the hill's live and direct, see
So let me put my clip in, watch this ----- start flippin'
My, why must they always be trippin'?
Shut up, what up, fool tried to nut up
Dropped the gat, riccocheted, the fool got cut up
(why'd you drop the gat, g?) i got hit from behind
Now a ----- like me, i gotta go for mine
Bring it on, bing, make ya bells ring
When ya hit that pavement, what a feeling
It's on, cracked like a baseball bat
Oh shiiiiiiiit, out the boot came a gat
Pointed (aimed) the ----- said "you're through!"
[laughs] scooby doo! 'cause i had a boy too!
Chorus
Verse 2: b-real
I remember the time them ----- tried to get me (i ain't havin' it)
Throw your gats in the air if you wanna come test me
So let me just run through, as i pull out my scooby-doo
I get the chills when i see that dead man's crew
I got to get up, let's go head up, dead up
I'm loc'ed like that, punk, that's why you're gettin' wet-up
Want me to let up, but i ain't tryin' to hear that
Bullshit cryin', punk, let me just clear that
Buck a shot, lick a two shot, lick a three shot
Ran out of ammo, damn, i ain't tryin' to get got
Two ----- standin', dirty under-handed
Lighter shade of fire, check my slug expanded
Now tell me what the #$@& are you gonna do
When i pull out my scooby-doo?
Chorus
Outro: b-real (mexican dialect?)
Take a good look ... 'cause this is the last time you're gonna see
Fat bell like this again, you fat piece a chit! kid muchacho,
Muchacho kid, get flabby - (oh - choot that piece a chit.) you
#$@&in' lobsta piece a chit! i'll stomp you like a duck. and you ...
You with your little happy chain of lighters ... you wanna #$@& with
Me, you #$@& with the best! and you ... you with the burly haircut,
The stawberry quik guy ... you around the way, main. i know where
You at.
Running around robbing banks
all wacked off of Scooby Snacks!
I don't give a #$@& about the hell's
gate, ain't punkin' the crowd and I'm still
standing up staight.
So, we pull these jobs to make a little money;
no one gets hurt if they don't act funny.
On the way to the yacht, we almost got caught,
fast is shooting mailboxes, not knowing
where the cop is.
They're at the Dunkin Donuts, adjacent from
the Froman's whose mailbox had just
exploded. They gave chase, but our man
Steve is an ace; we lost those brothers
with haste. We cast off and along we went
off Bermuda to an island resort we rent.
Running around robbing banks
all wacked off of Scooby Snacks!
you threw me off---are Fun Lovin Criminals Scooby Snacks from New England?

ESD, you like Glock?
(chorus)
Gimme back my bullets
Put 'em back where they belong
Ain't foolin' around 'cause i done had my fun
Ain't gonna see no more damage done
Gimme back my bullets
Sweet talkin' people done ran me out of town
And i drank enough whiskey to float a battleship around
But i'm leavin' this game one step ahead of you
And you will not hear me cry 'cause i do not sing the blues
(chorus)
Gimme back my bullets
Put 'em back where they belong
Ain't foolin' around 'cause i done had my fun
Ain't gonna see no more damage done
Gimme back, gimme back my bullets
Oh, put 'em back... where they belong
Been up and down since i turned seventeen
Well i've been on top, and then it seems i lost my dream
But i got it back, i'm feelin' better everyday
Tell all those pencil pushers, better get out of my way
(chorus)
Gimme back my bullets
Put 'em back where they belong
Ain't foolin' around, 'cause i done had my fun
Ain't gonna see no more damage done
Gimme back, gimme back my bullets
Oh put 'em back where they belong
Gimme back my bullets
FYI: You can get a Glock pretty cheap at Galyans, compared to most gun shops.
I think I paid about $400 - $450 for my G17 about 5 years ago.
Prices at gun shops at the time were about $500 - $600.
I'm employed, not in school, and I can't afford it right now either.
:-)
well if you rob a liquor store you might get enough money to buy that gun ;)
Hey now!
Uhm, how am I to buy a gun to rob a bank, if I don't have money. If I had money, I'd have no need to rob a bank, and I could afford a gun.....
Use your credit card to buy the gun, go rob the liquor store, and with the money you get from the liquor store, pay off your credit card. At least thats how I ussually do it.
At least thats how I ussually do it.
You're one smart kid, Timmers.

Heya-heya heya hiyo

They took the land, they took control
They robbed my father of his very soul
To be like one of them, to be like one of them
But I was born a native son
And I will never be another one to give it all away
I've got to walk the spirit trail

He repeats this over a hundred times!

Title: Return To Innocence
Ami chant (this has a lot of Heya's)
That's not the beginning of the end
That's the return to yourself
The return to innocence.
Love - devotion
Feeling - emotion
.
Love - devotion
Feeling - emotion
.
Don't be afraid to be weak
Don't be too proud to be strong
Just look into your heart my friend
That will be the return to yourself
The return to innocence
.
If you want, then start to laugh
If you must, then start to cry
Be yourself don't hide
Just believe in destiny
.
Don't care what people say
this was the song played when we walked back up the aisle at the end of our wedding :)
I listened to it 3 times today
Don't say words you're gonna regret
Don't let the fire rush to your head
I've heard the accusation before
And i ain't gonna take any more
Believe me
The sun in your eyes
Made some of the lies worth believing
Chorus:
I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
I am the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And i don't need to see any more
To know that
I can read your mind, i can read your mind
Don't leave false illusions behind
Don't cry cause i ain't chnaging my mind
So find another fool like before
Cause i ain't gonna live anymore believing
Some of the lies while all of the signs are deceiving
