Here is all the pertinent information on the hunt:
The TMK mock hunt will start on Wednesday, September 17, and end on Sunday, September 28.
Clues will be released at 9 pm each night.
There will be 12 clues in all.
The treasure will be hidden on public land in Ramsey County (stay out of the fairgrounds, off the indian mounds)
The treasure will not be hidden in a spot that will endanger hunters (along a cliff, under an electrical box, on the water of a lake/river, etc)
If there are questions or concerns, please try reaching me by email or egram. I will have my cell phone with me, but while I am at work it will be off. I will check messages during breaks though.
Prize will be announced. Donations are welcome.
Maybe I'll post pictures for clue #10, instead of a word clue. That would be fun. No wait. Not clue #10. I like clue #10. Definitly clue #11 though.
The slide show is cooler Kc I am going to add that into Kingscommons before the hunt.
clues with pictures? Sounds like books with pictures... like the ones you get in kindergarten. But, that's about my level of clue solving abilities at this point, so sure :)
Marydale kind of fits except for the lack of Tennis and Basketball.

Actually the gallery system I use is open source, and really easy to setup, not to mention if you use the remote program, you can easily import new photos. Took me a half an hour to set up the gallery system, and 2 minutes to setup all the photos and upload them.
I think your five minutes are up!
Whoa!! Thanks OT. Almost spaced that out. Too many damn posts to slog through on this thread. Thanks again. You did see my disclaimer didn't you? ;-)
I'm up for checking Newell out on my way home tomorrow, it's an easy stop for me, about 3 blocks north of work.
Nice pics KC0GRN!
Yeah, I did CM. Thought I was looking in the mirror there for a minute.
Cooler I will check it out Kc.
Jake thought I had a Marydale kind of disposition. Guess he was wrong.
thanks :) BTW, it pays to get a digital camera with a decent lens.
You know, last time I was out at Newell, I didn't see any sort of plaques.. unless I didn't look in the right spots. This last clue makes me want to find some sort of historical marker or monument.
Yeah, I think I'll have to post pictures of the park for clue 11 if it gets that far. That way you guys can try to figure it out by sight. You guys need to get out to the parks!
There's a "historical marker" in the THG.
I have! Well one anyway.
really? Don't have a hunter's guide myself... Perhaps part of my problem, but I like to find things out myself too.
Why don't I see you over in the 'who's here' list TMK? Is that a clue?
No, its not a clue. I've just been invisible for a while. No real reason I guess.
When did Terry leave? She usually says good night.
I'm going to say good night. Talk to you all tomorrow.
night OT
Goodnight OT! SCDs and MCL to you!
I'm still dealing with the other putter here. Reformatting is a good thing - but the reinstallation of software can be a forever thing.
Later OT. Can I borrow your mirror sometime? hehe
Offhand, it seems like the parks that have tennis courts, basketball, and noteworthy rocks are:
Baker
Carty
Cherokee (sort of)
College
Langford
Mattocks
Newell
Newell is the only one that strikes me as fitting this last one.
BTW Allison, where's the historical marker at Newell?
I thought there was also one on the bldg something about the fire. Not sure though
Maybe it's at Dayton's Bluff since there isn't really any information on it in the Guide.
BTW Allison, where's the historical marker at Newell?
Well technically there would be two of them, but they're only marked in the Guide, not in the park ;-)
hmm, I might have to stop by there and give the building a good lookover.
when I was there photographing, I tried to hit everything, blanket the park so to speak, so if I missed something, might have to reshoot a couple pics
I see, I guess having the guide might be helpful, unless I just looked up the history of the park myself... the clue makes me want to fid a physical one though...
AW Sux!! ;-)
I think I have finally got that other computer all set....updated, software reloaded, all settings restored the way I like them, email set up and address book installed.
Between the reformat and the reinstalls, updates, etc., it's only taken me 5 hours. UGH!!!
I'm heading for the sheets.
Goodnight, SCDs and MCL!
There's a "Taylor Made" brand of golf balls and binoculars could offer a "fair view".
If TMK didn't hide it in Newell, I think he's going to have to move it there.
I'm thinking TMK gave a lot away in clue 9, there's something about the second part. A little boy looking around for a girl that was lost then found.
In some park, there has to be a historical marker with a reference to the girl the boy was looking for, or the woman she became. In which case, if you can find that, the treasure should be nearby. At least that's what I get out of it, perhaps I'm wrong....
Looking for a girl he k new well
I think Allison just might be onto something. I don't know why I didn't see that last night.
Morning Terry!
I can't get in Susie! It says Unregistered viewers restricted from viewing! What the heck! I'm the president! ;)
You have to find yourself a cool avatar Sue. A pirates chest or some pic of someone like that Chesty gal who runs out of ball fields kissing the players. Talk to Clue Master. He has a nice one of Elle McPhearson.
one coffee please
ot, click the log on link. that crap happens to me *every* time i try to get into the posse.
hey, kc. what gallery program are you using? i've got a bunch of pics i'd like to get up on a photo gallery like that.
Try these Chesty.
Which one? ;-)
Joe
i make a motion for you to put some boobs on the pirate, cm.
