Here is all the pertinent information on the hunt:
The TMK mock hunt will start on Wednesday, September 17, and end on Sunday, September 28.
Clues will be released at 9 pm each night.
There will be 12 clues in all.
The treasure will be hidden on public land in Ramsey County (stay out of the fairgrounds, off the indian mounds)
The treasure will not be hidden in a spot that will endanger hunters (along a cliff, under an electrical box, on the water of a lake/river, etc)
If there are questions or concerns, please try reaching me by email or egram. I will have my cell phone with me, but while I am at work it will be off. I will check messages during breaks though.
Prize will be announced. Donations are welcome.
I doubt it's at Newell, not enough hiding places.
And there's a baseball field that hasn't been mentioned unless it's buried in one of these clues
I was thinking that may be our "adult swingers"
that could be the bench swing at newell
Seems to fit ESD
hey Reg, you gonna check out a park tonight? I'm gonna stop by Newell
there are two of those steam shovel toys in the sand box
ahh, that's at 9.. gonna be dark out then. I'm just stopping by Newell because it's close by on my way home.
I have the Olympus 510 Zoom KCOGRN. Not as powerful as yours but I won it with a $10 chance at a fund raiser!
cool OT, I mighta typoed mine. So could be yours is better. Either way, they both have much better lenses than the elcheapo digital cameras. Makes all the difference
btw didn't buy mine either, was a gift.
Well, they both take excellent pictures as far as I can see. Hey Digger, you're the same age as my oldest son!
Oh! Another interesting find - the drinking fountain has a higher and a lower spigot for drinking...and we found a fence post and some chain link fence behind the backstop at the ball field.
Oh wait a minute, you missed it. You're one year older than my oldest son I guess.
Good observation Terry. Water high and low. If in fact we're looking for water and not a waiter. ;)
Boy, all of my kids birthyear Joe's are going by! Of course, I have seven children so we're not done yet!
Ok, then he is one year younger than my oldest son. :)
Baby Girl birthyear Joe! Whew, now I'm done.
who's all going out tonight?
Is Marley in town Reggie?
I'm off now. Finally the weekend for me. Off to Newell!!!
I'll check back in later for the clue.
me and peanut will probably try to hook up with whoever is going out so we aren't alone in the park :)
I am trying to figure out if I should rollerblade to Newell, since Jake and maybe KCO will be there.
I really doubt it's there tho.
I guess I'm in denial. TMK said that he had "told" us the name of the park in the first couple of clues. But as far as I can tell, he didn't "tell" us the name until last night's clue.
What I'm trying to say in a round about way is this. In Clue 9 he spells out Newell in the words Knew Well. But maybe that's not what we're supposed to be taking from that clue.
I have had those same thoughts, OT.
Inks is now trying to hunt up some flashlights. I think he's thinking we'll probably hang here until the clue comes out.
No, but if it is indeed Newell, he spelled it out yesterday for the first time. Telling us by spelling it out. Not just clues to lead us there. Actually giving us the name of the park with out a lot of other stuff in between to confuse us. Do you understand what I'm trying to say? I'm not sure I do. :)
So I'm not the only crazy one in here Terry? haha I'm glad someone understands what I'm trying to say. I think Reggie does now too. Just thinking outloud.
Well, my ride is here. Off to Zumbrota. Have a good vacation Terry and I'll be in later.
have fun
Even if it's not at Newell, we sure had a nice stroll through the park on such a gorgeous day. Thanks, TMK! The timing of this hunt nicely coincided with some great weather.
Inks found a flashlight.
But another hour and a half to wait. UGH!!
But it's not, Reg. It's going very, very, extremely very, slooooowwwwww.
