Close call! We have those auto door locks too, and after hearing that I'm thankful. Glad to hear she's OK.

wow, I think I will start locking my doors when I get into my van!
well, except when the dog is with me, cuz it would be kinda funny to see an idiot like that get his face chewed off :)

My dog would maybe try to lick their face off. Hostility isn't his strong suit.

Me and the kiddos have been on the run all day. We left the house around 1, went to a friend's house where they were pouring a concrete slab. Watched and helped, and did some 4-wheeling (the girls loved it!). Then, home for 2 seconds to get directions, and then on to another friend's housewarming party. We just got home around 11. Good thing the wife will be home tommorow to deal with the little crabs.

Cool! Congrat's Kneeka!

I took Chris out for the day yesterday and we stopped at the humane society, I can't believe how many cat's and kittens they have! It's so sad, I can't believe people just throw them away like that! I mean, how could you not know that you are allergic! I think it's such a cop-out! I must have read 10-15 of the tags that said owner was allergic, most people know as kids that they are allergic but then go out and get an animal as an adult anyway.

Hey all,

Anyone else hit the parks this weekend? I seem to have had a lot of psare time on my hands, plus good weather. Went down to Hidden Falls/Crosby on Saturday (had a couple hours to kill between a wedding ceremony and reception) then was just out at Cherokee and ventured down the Bruce Vento nature trail and then caught a trail into Lilydale (at least I think it was Lilydale).

Saw some good sights out there, especially from Vento trail, wish my camera's batteries didn't die on me. The small stream and small cliffs in lilydale were cool also, too bad most of that park is in dakota county, as it would be a cool park to hide the medallion in. Found a great spot to place a geocache (if I knew how to register one, and if I had a GPS).

All in all, a very productive weekend for me in terms of getting out and exploring the parks (except for the fact I wasn't able to take pictures)

We didn't hit any parks, but we did have a lot of opportunity to enjoy this beautiful weather. Get outdoors folks, it ain't gonna last...

Hey THX,

How is it that the main thread I listed above was created after this sub-thread we're in now? I was here since the beginning and I remember this thread being first that day but don't know how you can create a thread above another one after the fact.

When we first moved over here I just created one thread. As other threads popped up, it didn't take long before I needed to create a main folder to organize all the threads.

So, basically "Shoot the breeze" was the very first thread, and "Pioneer Press Water Cooler Refugee Camp" is the main folder that holds all the threads.

Got back from Chicago last night. Had a great time! Spent two days doing the town and then attended my nephew's wedding on Saturday. Rode the El, the ferris wheel on Navy Pier, walked miles in my new boots (not a good idea), ate wonderful food and had a great time. All of my family was there and my sisters and most of their children too. It's nice to get away but it's also good to get home.

and AW- I saw it too (about Jake) but glad you said it ;)

and what are you doing dreamin' about me? oh, I mean...my dad
do you remember what he looked like or if he had an accent?
and, that was a couple days ago-arn't you dying to know the answer to the universe? He kinda left you hanging, or did he tell you and your not telling us yet? ;p

TV-I have those automatic locks too -I am grateful they lock after I start the truck BUT-I have heard that because they are electrical that if you ever drive into a lake your screwed. So don't ever try that ;)

Sounds like my wife.

if you read this honey, I'll have the dishes done and the bed made before you can say boo.

Sorry honey, you haven't given me a reason to call you anything yet. Maybe we need to hang out more so you can get pissed at me. Then I'll put my foot in my mouth and need to clean your house to make up for it.

Thanks everyone for the congrats with Kneeka. I changed my picture so you all can see what she looks like when she's in "show" mode. It's such a great feeling to finally have her finished. Now I can start doing obedience competitions with her.

You were in it too, briefly. We were at this party at one point and we saw you there, but didn't have time to really stop and talk.

do you remember what he looked like or if he had an accent?

He looked sort of like an old, sickly Colin Farrell.

and, that was a couple days ago-arn't you dying to know the answer to the universe? He kinda left you hanging, or did he tell you and your not telling us yet? ;p

He didn't have the answer. He was just there to tell me I was going to get the answers.

Clue Master, were you refering the The Hunter's Guide, or The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?

I know it's in the later. And the answer is 42 :)

Glad I know the answer anyways, as if I didn't, that question would haunt me the rest of my days. Even if you don't know what it means, at least you know the answer, and that's good enough for me ;)

Clue Master, were you referring the The Hunter's Guide, or The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?

Treasure Hunters Guide. 42 you say. Hummm. I wonder. Nope, no idea. I just assume that the answers to life lie in the Matrix or the Truman Show. I switch off every now and then. ;-)

tell your bag o' bones to stop feeling up that gravestone

I'm not feeling it up, I'm just rising up then noticing that I'm naked so I slide back behind my gravestone. You think I'm scary with clothes on...

Let me be the judge---drop the gravestone ;)

and page 42 is Hillcrest (there is a library there)
and Homecroft
(both are in Highland Park area)
so the truth lies in Highland?

The squeaky wheel gets the oil, The Financial Aid people at Brown College have been giving me the run around on my computer money. Telling me it has not arrived yet so today I call up the loan people to see whats up and they tell me it was sent to brown on the 6th. So I call up brown again with steam coming out of my ears and tell them it was sent to them on the 6th and this guy says let me check this out and get back to you. So he calls me back in about 3 mn. and says I can pick up my check in the morning. AGHHH Oh well I get to order my computer tomorrow.

unless, according to the hitchhiker's guide, we're in a different space-time coordinate, which would probably nullify the 42 as being the correct answer, meaning highland park is only as probable as any other park.

Now, if you modified your car to run off an infinite improbability drive (which of course when turned on, takes the car through every point in the universe instantaneously, why does it work that way you say? that's why it's called "infinite improbability") with a little tweaking, you'd be able to stop at the correct park on the first clue.

Wouldn't it just be easier to follow Marley's car and see where he parks?
