It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
10g's - I wouldn't want to spoil it for you. Like I said earlier today - it's like one of those pictures that you have to stare at before it comes into focus. Then once you
SEE the "4" you see it clear as day - while everyone walks right by and never notices it. It's pretty clever of the PP I must admit.
Keep lookin' at NP and remember 9-5------4 is the key.
Sorry allison. I have to disagree with your clue #1. I think it means a park with no Golf course. Reason--Como is being used for the snow slide and people have
been getting chased out of there. Phalen overlaps too much of Maplewood for comfort. Highland is guilty by association.
Not Newell. I have to go with BC. This Devils Den Stuff goes back about thirteen page, I looked, and if it was there, enough people have seen this in order to have
I am interested in what park paul was at , I was at one today where they were very few people, and it has not been mentioned, and I can find a tie for every clue, but
the 3rd one, haven't matched that one up yet.. Waiting for next clue to see if it points more towards that one..
For clue #2, I believe this is referring to Como Park. Yes they bring up sledding every year it seems, including last year. But what if it wasn't sledding or skiing, but
rather a big snow slide. If this was the case, they would certainly want to keep people from digging up the slide itself by saying you have no chance at all unless you
stay away from the action (of the Winter Carnival). That way treasure hunters (hopefully) won't disrupt the activities. I really believe this because I don't ever recall
seeing so many negative clues before (don't go near this, don't go near that). They're abviously worried about something.
????newel park.. nine players on the softball field (per team)...five players on the basketball court ( per team)...four players on the tennis court (doubles)?????
please tell where the den is i am not goin tonight but soon as sun rise is the den completely in NEWELL? or is it on that hill which is spooky allwell rock i need info
you send e-mail tellin me if you dont wanna tell any1 i was just at NEWELL less than a half an hour with my dad saw notin all dug up so i beg where is it!
Not Rice park. I am just across from there, and the power cords strung through ther for ice sculptures and Grande Day parade preps would prohibit hiding it there.
But there is the James J HILL reference library there.
ALLISON and BRIAN I think you are both right on clue about the golf course. They want it to be unclear. Thats why they wrote it that way. On such an early clue
and for $10,000 they aren't giving anything away. Which leads to you other theary Allison.
MedCop--Thank you for that understanding. Yes, I was referring to Highland Park. I think that THE ROCK is full of it. He dosen't seem to know what he is talking
about. He should drive out to the parks and get more info on the parks. Seems like he is guessing. GOOD LUCK TO ALL. --DOES ANYONE HAVE A
This is a new writer of the clues for the pioneer press, this is only his second year, so i don't think we can go back to previous years and compare clues..
Just started to read the clues thru #6. I used to live in St Paul. Now I'm in Cleveland. I may be way off base, but the clues smell like Hillcrest Park in Highland....hill,
library nearby, etc. Give it a try.....GOOD LUCK TO THE WINNER!
Just to update, there is a DEvil's Den, been there. Years ago mind you, but it does exist. I went to Central for highschool, even though I was from the eastside. Hung
out there way back when. Don't be fooled. It is there
Clue #3, As said before, I think this a way to refer to addresses. They could have said "numbers keep track" but that wouldn't rhyme with door, which I think they
really wanted to use. So they said "numbers keep score". Adorn the front door definitely sounds like as address. As for a nine and a five and somewhere a four, I
believe this means that the nine and five are obvious. The four would have to be implied, yet not clearly seen. The KS95 theory isn't bad, but I really think they're
talking about an address as one could easily find the 950's but would have to estimate where 954 was if it wasn't used on a house. About seven different parks have
954 addresses, including all three golf course parks, so it doesn't narrow it down too much
Can someone update me on the 9,5,&4. The way I read it 9 & 5 are together and 4 is out there somewhere by its' self. I think I have a clue to the 4 but the others
Here is what I think....the iconoclast clue means one who seeks to overthrow traditional or popular ideas or institutions so it means out with the old and in with the
new... it is hidden in a park that it has never been in before....to yearn to learn you turn to a dictionary...a man of fame offers a useful name that can be found in many

MERRIAM-Webster ...MERRIAM park is my guess....what do you think Dingo Man??
So if this Devil's den is small, and that is where you think it is, why are you not there digging, and finding the treasure, if you are so positivly sure I guess I wouldn't be
was at that big hill where people where sledding before and i theres a street to the left and houses right on top of the hill and houses to the right is the den
so what and where is BC park
HI EVERYONE---This is the 1981 finder talking. So far I think that the clue about 954 is very helpful. CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THOSE NUMBERS
REALLY APPEAR ON THE WATER TOWER???? --I am on top of it. This would help me out a lot. THANKS AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL!! :)

TOUCHED. THATS WHY I BRINGING MY BIG ASS FLASHLIGHT TO GET THERE AGAIN. HOPEFULLY I DONT GET LOST.
Not Newell. I have to go with BC. This Devils Den Stuff goes back about thirteen page, I looked, and if it was there, enough people have seen this in order to have
found it.
mo info if you r talking the highland one yes thwey do appear on the tower door next to the sledding hill go look for your self
Grannie - #2 is on the way. See you in a bit.
I agree with Angel02.
I am interested in what park paul was at , I was at one today where they were very few people, and it has not been mentioned, and I can find a tie for every clue, but
the 3rd one, haven't matched that one up yet.. Waiting for next clue to see if it points more towards that one..
does anyone know what the 4 means???
paul think this idea is great. there are actually 9 really clever people

GOLDEN WHAT ARE YOU REFERING TO BY WALKING BY THE FOUR ARE YOU REFERING TO NEWELL OR HIGHLAND?
golden boy is the four all natural.
went to bc thinking maybe it would add up drove to it saw what it was like and headed back to newell seems to fit the best still
Not Rice park. I am just across from there, and the power cords strung through ther for ice sculptures and Grande Day parade preps would prohibit hiding it there.
But there is the James J HILL reference library there.
If you look at the clue, it tells you to stay away from all of the action. Almost leading you away from Como, or BC for that matter.
ALLISON and BRIAN I think you are both right on clue about the golf course. They want it to be unclear. Thats why they wrote it that way. On such an early clue
and for $10,000 they aren't giving anything away. Which leads to you other theary Allison.

FAMOUS PERSON IN MIND???
Dingo man was one of you wearing a GB jacket??
I don't think the 9, 5, and 4 are all together...it says somewhere a 4...do any of you think they mean clue #'s 9 5 & 4 ??
AND ADD TO THAT GOAL FOR HOCKEY - HOCKEY RINK. YOU COULD HAVE SOMETHING THERE.
This is a new writer of the clues for the pioneer press, this is only his second year, so i don't think we can go back to previous years and compare clues..
Good thinking MushieW!!!
DINGO HOW OLD ARE YOU?
Just started to read the clues thru #6. I used to live in St Paul. Now I'm in Cleveland. I may be way off base, but the clues smell like Hillcrest Park in Highland....hill,
library nearby, etc. Give it a try.....GOOD LUCK TO THE WINNER!
my buddie and I walked around newell for an hour, not digging, just looking and I found a spot that helped me find what i think is the four.
jeloba I think we are in the right area We make all the clues fit too. We're from the east
In answer to your question ... Yes there is tracks to the south west..
was wearing a blue and white hat and a columbie green blue jacket am the young 14 year old
they pulled everyone to newell and now they are trying to pulll everyone out i think that is the iconoclast i think we should stick with newell
Just to update, there is a DEvil's Den, been there. Years ago mind you, but it does exist. I went to Central for highschool, even though I was from the eastside. Hung

10 gs did u find the four i think i did
Medallion medams is there a way we can compare to see if we are thinking the same?? Are you going back out after the next clue comes out????
what does the devils den look like is it like a small cave or what

PIERCE BUTLER GOES RIGHT BY NEWELL PARK AND I THINK YOUR FULL OF IT. EVERYONES FULL OF IT TO THIS POINT. THE CLUES
DONT EXACTLY PIN POIN IT. IT MAY HAVE NARROWED IT DOWN BUT I STILL GO WITH THE DEVILS DEN THEORY AND IF YOU
WOULD HAVE BEEN PAYING ATTENTION EARLIER YOU WOULD HAVE NOTICED THAT A COUPLE OTHER PEOPLE HAVE BEEN IN
DEVILS DEN SO DONT SAY IM FULL OF IT!!!
Can someone update me on the 9,5,&4. The way I read it 9 & 5 are together and 4 is out there somewhere by its' self. I think I have a clue to the 4 but the others
are unclear
