Yeah, we had to take planes, trains, automobiles, boats & busses to get back here, but we made it none-the-less. It was actually pretty good for us since my bro's company paid for everything. We were put up in a downtown Manhattan hotel that cost them 650 a night. It was located right next to ground zero. Most people couldn't find any rooms anywhere at any price. We were on the ball way before they even cancelled any of the flights. When ours was cancelled we were already set up. Unfortunately we still needed to wait until it was officially cancelled to leave Laguardia. When we did there was over a 2 hour wait outside for a cab and then the ride into the city was another 2 hours. The cabby said that the traffic was worse than 9/11 and the blackout because of the bad grid lock. We went down many streets the wrong way and so did many other people. It was a mess. All flights were booked for the next 2 days. We knew the whole place would be closed anyway so we tried other methods. Came up with the idea to take the train to DC then fly home from there. Train was too late so we wouldn't make the DC flight so we found one out of Baltimore that had only 16 people on it. We all sat in first class and got hammered on the way home. What a nice ending to long trip. I was OK with it all since it was all new to me but my bro definitely wanted to get home bad. If I had my way I'd have his company pay for another night or two and hang out in the city some more. It sure was a great trip though. I'll post some pictures later.
Once upon a time, a little old space suit wearing man (THX) made an M&M for a treat. He put her in the castle to freeze, but after a while he heard a tiny voice crying,"Help! Let me out."So he opened the castle door.
The little M&M threw snowballs at him and frightened the little old space man ... he tried to catch her. The M&M was too fast. The space man threw his flame thrower to ESD-"get her"! ....
She ran deep into COMO Forest singing, "Run, run as fast as you can.You can't melt me, I'm the green M&M." with a JOE!
Funny how I just read the original story and the Stinky Cheese Head man version, just the other day to the kid. She won't eat those little men any more. Scared. I'd hate to tell her about the green M&M one. Aren't they going to be colorless for 2004 anyway? That Wiz commercial is great.
yeah - colorless - I am still in m&m shock- don't know how to take the colorless news at the moment....but at least I am free of the space man and his flame throwing east side diggin' sidekick!
I wanted to e-mail you some cool paintings but didn't know your e-mail address - I sent it to THX and since you two are like a 'butch cassidy and the sundance kid' I thought he could forward it onto you :)
I was cleaning in our familyroom/basement when I awoke a Furby in the toybox....for about an hour I heard the poor little guy say "I'm hungry, I'm hungry" ... I felt soooooooo guilty, I couldn't just leave him in there, poor little guy.... that I decided to put him in a basket with a bow and place him at THX's shed door.
We finally got Fat Bastard wine :) I got a case of chardonnay and a case of shiraz.
you back from the big apple yet?
