What about Pierce Butler himself. He was a Col. Don't know how famous, but he is mentioned in biiks. Once again, that points to NEWELL. Has this already been

discussed?

Mo info _ I cannot think of a famous person that ties in with highland, SORRY !

in looking at the last few years the first clues led to what it was hidden in, could the numbers mean golf club covers. With 4 referencing what you say when you

swing?

We must all be wrong cause everyone is reading way to much into this. When it is right there wont be any questions in anybodys head, which leads me to think its

somewhere no one has thought of yet.

No one is positive of anything, except fools ofcourse, and I don't fall into that category. Just tossing out ideas. Isn't that what this is about. I would assume you aren't

out searching right now either, so that goes to show that you can't be sure?CORRECT?

For clue four, I think they are talking to people who really study the clues and look to past traditions for help. Check out Greg Sax's CoolerCrew sight and you'll

understand the meaning of "studying the past can be quite a blast." But I think the overall essence of the clue is to say don't rely on traditional hunting wisdom, like

they would never put it in the same park two years in a row (or twice in three years according to my pet theory). Then again it could mean its not buried, or maybe

its not outdoors. Where ever it is, after its found, people will say "I can't believe that's where it was!"

We were out tonight, and didn't see much of anybody at Newell Park, not did we see anyone at BC... People must be out somewhere... Where is everybody?

Here's a new thought, to go with the old/new clue--Newell Park is somewhat near both the Amtrak station (new) and (fairly close...) Bandana Square (old). Just an

idea...

Mo-Info, not quite sure about the famous person but at Como Park, there is a statue of a man named SCHILLER. Did a little research on his name and found that

he is an author of many books and even a Trilogy. This could maybe have reference to the TOME in clue 6 and the famous nam all together.

If we were all so sure we wouldn't be sitiing here waiting for the next clue so eagerly we'd be too busy out digging up a park like last year. This board wouldn't be so

busy all night unless we knew....FOR Sure. (pulling for Newell myself!)

4=Old stone school house in front of new high school, could be old water tower and the new ones NOW GET OFF YOUR COMPUTER GO GET A SHOVEL

AND FIND IT. The snow there is only about 9" deep with a little crust on top. In 2 more days the field accross the street from highland high will be all trampled.

Looking in the 1997 Hudson Map and it shows most of BC to be in Maplewood. Wouldn't that rule it out as the clue speaks of a park in St. Paul? Anyone?

For Clue#5, its hard to say, but it sounds like it means there's a school or maybe library nearby. If so, that doesn't narrow it down much as many parks have nearby

schools. On the other hand it could be referring to where in the park it is. Somehwere where you can actually see a school. I really don't think goal is a sports

reference (try writing these clues without ever using the word goal). I do like the idea of it possibly being in a treasure chest just as it was in the early years. Although

maybe I like the idea because then it would be easier to find in all this dang snow!

Here's ANOTHER new idea, but I must say I think it's rather stupid, myself...with the 9, 5, and 4 clue, one could feaseably say that bus route 4 is nearby on

Snelling, as is 5 (somewhat), on Como. Where the 9 could fit into this, I have no idea. Like I said, it's pretty stupid.
