well of course that was just a test run. And one with a good quality will be a larger download. I'm thinking I'll cut the nights out, unless they do work over the evenings on it, don't really need the dead space in there. Final version will probably go on video CDs and get distributed to anyone wanting one.
THX - I showed KC0 a higher quality much shorter version but it took up so much space that one day's worth would fill up my computer. I like the sun rise KC0. The nights will probably be a waste but how can you get the sunrise unless you're up that early? I did a 6 hour clip yesterday at 45 seconds and it turned out just fine if you wanted to extend it from the 30 seconds to save a little space.
Simple CM, I just let the Flash IT download pictures all evening. I don't necessarily have to be up for the sunrise.
I'm thinking if I just cut out a good chunk of the night, still leaving enough for the transition of sunsets and sunrises, that'd work.
45 seconds eh? I might try that, but it's lookin like I'll have ample space even at 30. I did up the framerate too to 30 fps (roughly the same as TV so converting to video CD will be a breeze).
Later LL, Have a nice busy day at work. Enjoy your night after 10.
Good idea KC. As long as you delete those night shots every day it shouldn't take up too much space. Do you delete the days pix after creating the movie? I wasn't sure why I'd want to save all those separate frames.
I haven't deleted them yet, I probably will though when I get moving on it, just compile the video files at a good high quality (that I can in turn lower down if needed) and get rid of the seperate images.
A day's run with the cinepak codec is about 50mb, which is completely doable (that's the same version as my first test was).
...new batteries in headlamp-check. rakes, picks, shovels lined up-check. hunters guide in good repair-check. Sleeping schedule all backwards,oops- need to work on that. still sleep at night. Is anyone else ready? Where is everyone posting?
On my way home from dinner tonight I drove down the east shore of Phalen. The ice spot was lit up like crazy, but I couldn't tell what they were doing. I had the kids with me, so I didn't stop. But it looked like there could be cutting.
Me2... I want to hear about your skulking. I'm really interested. Also... Pops got from Timmers for Crist'um Millett's "TC Then and Now." YES!!! Pops was much appreciative... And so was I!!! While it was not given to me per se... I'm SSSSSOOOO xcited to have it! Great history lesson. And nostalgia, and... sorrow? Yeah. That, too.
Enkneeweighs, wanted you to know we've now got that tome. I've yet to look at it seriously - just paged through it. In some ways, don't even want to read it. What I'll see that's been lost here in the TC's will just break my heart. Like you, I just love history. To me, the loss of buildings/areas/neighborhoods will make me sick.
Well, whatever. Wanted you to know the jewel we got for Christmas. Will have to drag it to some appearance o'Larry's to have signed.
Thank gods the man had the forethought/love/presence o'mind to write the book. At least we've a history of what was lost/has changed.
I guess her new album hasn't hit platinum status yet. She had to do something. Anybody remember Dennis Rodman? ;-) Celebrities floor me on what they'll do to pimp themselves.

bummer LL, are you using windows media player? it should download a codec if it needs one (but it is just the windows media codec..)
yeah, that's what I'm using, but it just say's locating media and never actually starts playing.
ok, I just didn't let it load long enough :) I didn't think it would take that long.

No I havent seen her yet.
day 5 of the Ice Palace webcam video, lookin like they might be working on it...?
Hi K.T.!
I just heard on the news that they might cut the first blocks of ice tonight.
Hi! L.L.!!
On my way home from dinner tonight I drove down the east shore of Phalen. The ice spot was lit up like crazy, but I couldn't tell what they were doing. I had the kids with me, so I didn't stop. But it looked like there could be cutting.
Joe Ice Block!
I saw on the news today that they are starting cutting tonight.
They showed them out there with chainsaws and they had one of those big concrete cutting machines.
I just might have to go check it out tomorrow, I wish they would put a live cam at phalen!
That would be cooler.
Has anyone seen Leelabell?
I have been sending her e-mails throughout the year but with no responses.
this is for Scribe....

That torch doesn't seem to have any authentication. I looked at it when it was listed. Unless I missed something.
And Scribey dear, I have a vulcan item for your coat. HeHe
I saw an ambulance down on the beach at Phalen one of the workers must have hurt them selves.
Really? I wonder what happened.
about the torch: yeah, I know I would be more interested if it actually was ingraved.
anyone see Britany Spears got married - wow!
Married? Wow. I mean, I know she's playing hard to get with me, but married? That's carrying her game a little too far, isn't it?
Britney Spears got married
