Advanced fans: WHERE in Cherokee park? That place is twice as big as Mounds. I'm thinking right at the north shore of Pikerel Lake, between the tracks. Anybody?

Thanks SueBee.. I knew it sounded familiar. Long day at work I guess. I will delete that to save face. I have a huge stack of info surrounding me from past years and included is what the coin was found in since '52. Embarrassed a bit I guess.

is the (theoretical) intersection of COlorado (CO) and DElaware (DE) streets (CO+DE=code) considered to be in the confines of cherokee pk? if so, someone should check it out! is ryan still here?

dough: someone said a bakery bordering Cherokee? else it just rhymes with "go" and we read too much into it (like most do on most years)

There is a small triangle shaped block formed where Joy ave comes off of Water street. That would be my first guess.

why do you want to know mother moco

Mother - Colorado is at the north end of the park running e/w, and Delaware is at the south end running n/s. They don't intersect. Colorado doesn't even run into the park. It's actually a few blocks off. Hope it helps.

Sat, 01/31/1998 - 12:42 AM Permalink
Alex R Moy

Baker street is listed on my map but isn't shown. Strange. It may be just on the Dakota county side. In that case you can scrap your idea.

Sat, 01/31/1998 - 12:42 AM Permalink

yes, but extend colorado and delaware to the point that they WOULD intersect! isn't that in cherokee? ryan should go check it out

Sat, 01/31/1998 - 12:42 AM Permalink

clue master, she said the THEORETICAL intersection, it was brought up a while ago that if they continued they would intersect

DOUBLE DIVISON AT MOUNDS , A MOUNDS FAN

Sat, 01/31/1998 - 12:43 AM Permalink

Colorado and Delaware, if extended, meet across the river at Shepard road. IMHO that clue is too obscure.

Sat, 01/31/1998 - 12:43 AM Permalink

Joy is a small street that comes off of Water street, near the two sets of tracks, and then returns.

Thanks for pointing that out Ryan. They would intersect on the other side of the river around West 7th Street. However Cherokee Ave. and Baker St. both end at a corner on the park.

Sat, 01/31/1998 - 12:46 AM Permalink
ryan quinn

think that intersection of the 2 streets is a good idea, ill go over there tomorrow if it hasnt been found yet, and check it out......

could someone give me directions to cherokee, im coming from hwy 36

Sat, 01/31/1998 - 12:46 AM Permalink
Josh J. Zenner

baker street is on the map intersecting Cherokee ave. Why would they show it on the map if it wasn't part of the park?

still dont think we have all the clues to pin it down. what is the popular opinion, just talked via cell phone to a buddy, he says there is 400 people still at mounds. Also said some people drove up to him and said they had the med and they where very serious but i'm not to sure

jodespre

My only guess at this point is that double division at Mounds could mean where the roads divide down by the KickOff Bar...but, it's far fetched...maybe there's a historical division meaning???
