Another update, new photos (well sorta, I just got around to getting them uploaded today) from Phalen that I took on Sunday.

There are some neat shots in there, worth looking at. One of a guy in a rowboat out on the open spot, and a few of some bubbles and cracks in some clear ice out on the lake that looked really interesting.
I am spending a ton of time on ebay buying up wearable headlamps....I am sure I can come up woth soemthing for you boys to use!! That is if you'd wear it on your head??? We can finger something out!!

Good Morning! It took me most of my extra time last night and this morning just to get caught up on slogging. I can see I'm going to have to start getting here at *least* once a day to keep current.

I'm here. Just trying to find a job. I'm still collecting unemployment, but it doesn't really cover all my expenses and I'm basically already in the hole as it is. And then I got pulled over last night and given a ticket. Someone else had been pulled over on the side of 35E and I drove by. I didn't know though it was like a law that I had to move over into the left lane. So the cop goes and chases me down and tells me that and gives me a ticket. Like that's what I need right now. In fact, since becoming unemployed, I've gotten two tickets and had a minor accident. Prior to that I'd never been pulled over and just had one accident when I first started driving. I can only hope that this streak of bad luck is like when there's a tsumai and the tide drops way down just before the big wave hits. Hopefully there will be a big wave of luck during the hunt.
Sorry to hear that AW. Sounds like a pretty lame law. I've never heard of it before. He should have just given you a warning.
I think he was convinced I had been drinking or something and wanted to nail me with something since he couldn't prove it. I was actually coming home from a bar, but I don't drink. Still, he accused me of having "watery eyes". I suppose it was from the cigarette smoke in the bar. We were doing Pub Quiz at Brit's Pub and managed to come in 2nd place (only 1/2 point out of first). Getting pulled over was a good way to dampen that mood.

I'm with ya AW. My wife's car is fried. And we can't afford gas the way it is. I'm not jumping on the complaining bandwagon, just letting you know that you have company is all.

Bummer, Allison. Man... I hope something good happens to you soon. It's been about 2.5 years since I lost my job and I'm just now starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel (that's not a train) - I think. But after I finish off my trustee payments (Jan? Feb? March?) then I've got to start in on the medical bills from breaking my arm...
What's a killer is the depression. It's kind'a hard to shake even when things start looking up. When you're down a long time you sometimes have "waiting for the other shoe to drop" mentality. And I've lived in fear of losing my house for so long, I'm not comfortable in it any longer.
Violent (sp?), Master and Allison - I sure hope things start to pick up soon for you guys...
