That is horrible. A major blow to homebrewers everywhere! And college students!

Jeez, what kind of losers would make furniture out of returnable bottles anyway?

Quiet, you. We never made furniture. Just a stack of empties in the corner.

Dude, Ever had Big Sky Brewing companies 'Moose Drool' brown ale? I'm having me about a six pack right now, and it's pretty good. (okay, I'm only half way through).

You bought a 6er of new beer, and stayed at home? I only hope your excuse is that you're getting some later.

Re: Moose Drool. I've heard of it, and even been in a bar that served it, but I've never tried it. Good, huh?

My reasons were justified.

Moose Drool is pretty good, as I said. Not fabulous. Similar to a Nut Brown Ale, mild and smooth with just a hint of caramel and burnt hops in the finish.

Played hell with my sinuses today though.

Well, at least the Vi-Queens were stunning, and are out of the way, can leave the tube off tomorrow.

They weren't stunning enough to prevent Priest Holmes from scoring 3 touchdowns. My fantasy football opponent this week has Holmes. Bastard. We're playing the league championship game this week. If I win, I take first place in the league.

Sorry to hear that, I guess. I wish they had a fantasy league that I wanted to participate in. Maybe a fantasy sex league or something. I'd draft Nina Hartley, tons of experience and wisdom there.

Dude, if you could figure out how to make it work you'd be rich.

It wasn't the beer so much as the Jack Daniels shots later in the evening.

Gak.

One of these days I'll learn better than to drink with 20 year old marines.

Yes, that would be a good start. Heck, I don't even want to drink with 20 year olds, period. Their rash youthfulness is compellingly contagious. :)

I find it hard to believe that amie could turn down an invite to do much of anything with a 20 year old marine...

Actually, I tend to go 12 years older rather than 12 years younger, as a general rule.

Actually, I tend to shave only every other day, and not at all on weekends. I'm so blonde it's hard to see one day's growth anyway.
Did I miss amie having a penchant for bearded folk?

A-B, PUBS TEAM UP FOR TWO-SECOND PINTS
Anheuser-Busch is taking a high-speed beer tap developed for use at
sporting events into English pubs. The "Ultimate Draft System" allows a pint to be pulled in less that two seconds. The system was developed in the United States and was used to pump Budweiser beers at stadiums during the World Series baseball championships last year. It is now undergoing trials in Britain, and could be installed at venues throughout the country if the tests are successful. Michael Hockley, the European manager of Shurflo, which designed the tap for Anheuser-Busch, told England's Sunday Telegraph that it was already becoming popular with drinkers. "People don't have to wait so long for beer, sales increase, and I think it actually improves the flavor because the taste of the foamy head is retained throughout the pint," he said. The new system, which is computer-controlled, uses a flexible tube attached to a conventional beer tap to dispense alcohol at high speed into the bottom of the pint glass. The computer controls the flow rate and the amount of gas in the beer to prevent there being too much "head" or any spillage.

Ah, technology. soon the humble barman will be a thing of the past, and a computer will spew forth potables at the wave of a hand. No more confiding in your bartender, chum.

For those of you that just don't "get" that sport with the round orange ball that's so popular this month, I offer an alternative. Marzen Madness--A bracket related frenzy which occurs simultaneously to a certain basketball tournament, but of interest to those who care more about hops than cagers. It's a field of 64 American beers; pairings will be announced March 12, and voting will begin March 16.

Tried Capitol Breweries' Bavarian Lager last night.  Not bad.

Frosti - Blue Max carries Victory Brewings' Prima Pils, I think it was #2 on that top 25 list.  Have to try that - maybe for moving day?
