And every guess you change Green, I'll be right there to switch it on top.
MED2K? Thass YOU? You're The Man Beehind The Curtain? I thought it was THX. Or Air-eez.
THANKS!!!
Ares hasnt been around enough to take care of his FORUM COOLERCREW duties. (us) :( ...he has a life now
Oh, Me2. That's good.
But thass bad, too. But... I'm going with the good. Ittiz good to get a life. Feels better. Life's better. Good for Air-eez!!!!
JOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Air-eez ---hahaha - you are gonna beg for AIR when he lets one go!
oh, and don't let him sit in any of your chairs!
I'm just an assisstant to the assistant of the assistant, THX and Ares still run this place.
Med2K is right, there's no deadline. You just have to be the first person to pick the right park without changing it to something else later.
yeah didnt last years park get picked on clue 10 or something?
lucky bastress! ;)
that doesnt get me kicked out of the forum does it::
No, I think Scribe actually had Como all along just because she's like that.
That was me, too (not Me2) that wouldn't get off that island.
I kept reading the "triple E" thighy... I knew about that gate at Como, and I refused to acknowledge it. My mind wouldn't go there.
Someday I hope to have gotten/been given some wisdom and I quit thinking like I do.
Scribe should have known on clue 9 that it was at Como!
"Here's a who dunnit.."
nah. its actually thx that runs this place. marley and i just keep coolercrew.com running.
Yeah on Clue 10 she was still on her "It cannot be anywhere but Harriet" way of thinking:p
Actually Scribe was very open minded about where it could be. I remember we both did a joint interview with Trent out at Harriet Island and we were talking about how everyone was hell bent on Harriet, but it could be somewhere else still.
I was all happy untill clue 10 or 11 last year cause I had Harriet and thought well atleast I will win the AW pot. hehe yeah right that Scribe knew it all along. hehe : > )
You should get 1/2 MK. It was at Harriet as far as I'm concerned.
(high-fiving My Master) Yup. They moved it.
No No No. You guys were too quick to assume last year. You jumped on Kellogg and Harriet Island too fast. Mind you, they addressed our obsession by being cunning in the very 1st clue.
They know that we know the parks. They would have been ashamed had they given the park away so fast, as they had done with Merriam.
Timmers, you remember what I said to you and Larry the night of the 11th clue. I knew I should've driven.
Don't remind me, I feel really bad about that still.
They know that we know the parks. They would have been ashamed had they given the park away so fast, as they had done with Merriam.
They didn't give the park away on Merriam. I'm not even sure how many people would have been there if I had said nothing. The problem with Merriam was the awful hiding spot (as in practially not hidden at all!)
I thought they gave the park away. Wasn't there a line about a bride and groom and you "marry 'em"?
I thought they gave the park away. Wasn't there a line about a bride and groom and you "marry 'em"?
Well yes, but 1) that was a later clue that hadn't come out yet and 2) the way that clue was written, I don't know if anyone would have gotten that.
Jake wants to make a guess. He told me the park but he didn't want me to post the name of it because he thinks people will tease him for his guess. I'll just say it's a park outside of St. Paul. But I'm posting this just so there's a record of when he made the guess.
Hmm, could it be Tony Schmidt?
He's gotta be talking about Battery Park in Manhattan. Nobody will expect to look there.
What's he afraid of? I said it would be outside of St Paul too.
What's he afraid of? I said it would be outside of St Paul too.
Case in point. You should be embarrassed.
;-)
Says you!
It'll be in St Paul.
Says you!
I've gone down that road too many times. I trully hope you are right as it would open up the playing field once again.
I was joking anyway scrappy
It'll be in St Paul.
I actually think it will too, but all the good parks are taken.
So, on the chance they try to throw something nasty at us this year, I'm thinking they'd put it outside of St Paul.
I think with the all star game, plus the palace, they'll want to keep the focus on St Paul proper.
haha, but not the small park that I'm not sayin the name of ;)
I think with the all star game, plus the palace, they'll want to keep the focus on St Paul proper.
But who are "they"? "They" would be the Pioneer Press and specifically the one or two people who hide the thing. Do they care about keeping the focus on St. Paul? I sort of doubt it. I think their focus is on making a good hunt and selling papers.
Oh, I don't know. "They" bowed to the will of the NHL to move the hunt for the all star game. They're doing what will play best to a national audience and make st paul look good.
Like My Master, I think if The Med was placed outside of St. Paul it would give a new dimension to The Hunt. I hope THX and Jake are right. It would just be 'different.' Not having hunted as long as many o'you guys, I've never known The Med to bee anywhere but St. Paul, and in one general area mostly.
I think it would be exciting to increase the search area. Just by doing that, well that alone would make the clues harder, in my mind, because you've more places to visit and noodle. I'd really like to see it moved outta St. Paul. The Hunt's become too predictable and like repetitive.
I hope THX is right. I think that would be exciting. (she says now... Come Clue 8 when she's still totally clueless and in the dark, she'll choke herself...)
*edit* JOE!!!
Hey Green - It would make for a more interesting hunt. There's some nice parks in the burbs.
Somewhere in that special section yesterday in the PP, there was a write up about the myths and legends and how even Maplewood is not "banned" for a hiding place for the medallion...just that they want to be good neighbors, or words to that effect.
Hay, TER!!!!
Yeah. Both times - there were two time - they sent letters of unhappiness (guess there were two time...). But no law suit. Does stuff like that = 'urban legends', like the rats in the toilet?
I think in the internet era now, selling papers isn't really a big driving factor for the paper. I mean say 5000 people buy a paper daily that normally wouldn't, they are only making $1250 more than normal, that's nothing to them. They make all their money through advertising
It happened...Maplewood was unhappy...but I thought it nice that there isn't a "ban".
And Green - there can be rats in toilets. I saw it for myself once. Thankfully it was where there were maintenance guys to come deal with it. The thing was trying to crawl up the porcelain. Luckily it kept sliding down before it could get out. YUCKY!!!
I like the idea of moving it out of St. Paul, but not this year and maybe not making a habit out of it. Keep us on our toes
the solution to the toilet rat, terry, is to pour scalding hot water on it.
I just sat on the toilet and once he looked up, he headed back where he came from.
I it was kinda weird anticipating which way he was going to go.
;-)
piss on 'em!
heehee!
JOE
Air-eez, buy the time you've got the water boilding Mr. Rat and Fam will be living in your bedroom!
Ter... You for real? (putting hands on hips, tapping foot, and looking askance at Terry..) REALLY?
true dat, green. on the other hand if your water heater is set high enough, you can just use the hot water tap.
on the other hand you could just use mikey's solution.
