Thanks Frosti. I'll obviously need to wait until after I get some of the final shots too. I'm also going to take this little trip at least once to get a few aerial shots as well.
Helicopter Rides

Cool CM, I'm thinkin I might take that one as well... Wonder if they'll fly at night... wait.. digital camera, bumpy... no that just wouldn't work well, it'd be cool though if it could work, depends on how smooth the ride is.

Edit: okay duh, look at the hours on the article before posting about wondering if they'll fly at night....

Forgive the intrusion, but...

Here's something that might interest you. I used it to make the picture that I attached. It's really four slides joined to create a panorama. This is a scaled down version and some quality was lost. The original is way too big to post.

DLL - Yeah, that's the main pan-prog that I use too. I like it a lot. That pic I took was from the zoom of a web cam so it's not that great. I like doing the 360's. Nice pic you've got there.

CM, about the picture. I had to remember which faces you had up. Then just track them down via yahoo. Wasn't too hard.

Here is a map of the current US temps. Notice that the temperature variance is greater between here and St. Cloud then there is between here and Tampa Florida or San Antonio Texas! And the cold is headed this way! Good news for the palace.

Boy it must have been whipping up a storm out there today! Those guys better make stronger ties than that if they want to make it through 2 weeks of Minnesota weather.

Here's another using the zoom. Some other guy was capturing all the pix that my brother was pulling up and putting them into the Strib public album with captions ;-)
It took forever, was cold as hell and tons of passer-by's in busses and cars were staring at me, but it's worth it now that I'm cozy at home.

Notice the block of palace ice that I'm holding up that one of the construction workers gave me.

Well I got my reservations for one of the helicopter flights now. So I'll definately have some good pictures soon, I'll be going around 5pm on Saturday.

Yeah, now to figure out if I should rely on my digital, or get a disposable regular film, or borrow the roommates camcorder... maybe all 3 just to be safe?
