I drove past the Ice Palace this afternoon. It's beautiful, and much larger than I expected! They were still working on fixing the torn tarp. Have a ways to go with that yet.

I was wondering if there might be any fish in the ice blocks. How does that happen? Don't they swim below the ice? Was it a sick fish? Well, it's a dead fish now.
I dunno how, but it'll be a nice little treasure hunt in itself to find em ;)

I attended a breakfast at the Ice Palace early very early this morning. We were given the opportunity to wander around at our leisure and take pictures. I took a few pictures, however I was disappointed since it was snowing and the sky was whitish/grey. Very little contrast in the pictures, so if you plan to take some good pictures, try to go on a clearer and brighter day.
I'll post some of the pictures that I took from the inside, including one of the worker getting the stages set up, an ice sculpture of King Boreas and one of Vulcanus Rex, and just some general views. I have enhanced these photos because the original ones were somewhat dull given the weather.

once you have the picture attached to the post, right click on the link and hit copy shortcut. then, edit your post and do an
<img src="right-click,paste">. be sure to remove the stuff between the @'s in what you pasted. then re-click on post my message.
