bring flowers and say compliment to their mom's and dates and soon a wife, wash dishes!, pick up his own socks off the floor, get his own fluids from the fridge, tell his mom he loves her in front of others, give their own dads hugs!
check. check. check. not yet. check. check. check. check, and check. whew. i'm covered then.
IF I did have a son though (I do have cousins and a nephew) ...he would be required to learn to open doors for the ladies, bring flowers and say compliment to their mom's and dates and soon a wife, wash dishes!, pick up his own socks off the floor, get his own fluids from the fridge, tell his mom he loves her in front of others, give their own dads hugs!
Don't forget holding hands and singing Kumbaya.
:-)

My complaints are mainly concerning drunks-drunks who are obnoxious/want to fight, drunks that want to cause others to fight, drunks who don't listen and just want to argue, drunks that don't think the rules and laws apply to them. Why can't they all be fun/happy drunks? On the flip side I love responsible drunks- drunks that know when they've had too much and cut themselves off, drunks that sober up before they have to drive home, drunks that bring a sober driver.
And then theres the "small town" syndrom complaints. I haven't been around this much drama, gossip and rumors since I was in high school! It makes it hard to know exactly who I can trust and be open with without what I say getting into the rumor mill and coming out all twisted up. Theres really only one person up here that I trust completely with all thoughts and feelings, and you know who he is :) Atleast we have eachother.
And everything closes way too early! I think that people up here are bored, nothing to do but drink and talk about eachother. And I used to think small towns are safe, peaceful, quiet places- not always the case. I've seen/heard as much or more crap in 7 monthes than in 10 years of living in Mpls. That being said, I have met alot of warm wonderful good-hearted people, and there is a strong sense of comraderie/community.

I'm actually looking forward to have work rants once again. ;-)
It's like lonely people saying they wish they had a spouse to bitch about.
Better than the alternative. Or at least that's the perception anyway.
