You too, guys. Your chat was hopping last night, Search. I was getting a headache from trying to keep up so I left it to the young 'uns.

I was thinking the same thing, THX. And by the way, I didn't know who you were either until I saw the picture this morning. I saw you there, but didn't know who you were. I was the Oldtimer. :)

Had a blast at the pre-dig! It was great to see everyone and put some new faces with new names, sorry to have missed some people!

The Hunt is on!

Well. There's lots to be said for THX'sway o'thinking that the clue's so simple that ittiz about Joe and his column and us clue bahsers and that The Med's just in a park.
But if you look at last year's clue xplination, they put LOTS more into it than what WE pulled out: "Ittiz in a park"

Question: Was that bartender last night a bitch or what?

Having grown up with five sisters, I don't just throw that word around (you ladies know what I mean).

She was the rudest I've ever seen.

Can't type for crap. Ain't got my contacts in and can't see.

Since I'm the one handing out access, I'm not aware of anyone from the PP being in here.

Maybe they secretly work for the paper. Maybe they're just claiming to be "unemployed". hehe

Gosh. THX that's what Scribe said - about the bartender. Wow. I didn't think she was so bad. What did she say/do or what? That's not good...

You'd have a good conspiracy theory, but I'm not unemployed.

Otay, Allison. But which word's the only one that fits for us?
Region. Ittiz in a "REGIONAL" park!

From what little I know, we don't have any orbital or surfaca area parks around here...

But I could bee wrong. Am usually.

"Go you look..."

There's just something odd about that, unless they're just being odd to throw us off.

"Go Ulich"? Though I haven't found any references to a Ulich in a park yet.

What did she say/do or what?

Well, she yelled at Trent, Scribe, and a few others for being in front of the trashcan.

When I ordered drinks, I said "Could I have a Guiness and a coke", and she bit my head off with "PLEASE!, You didn't say PLEASE".

I wasn't rude or abusive to her or anything. She just jumped right on my ass.

Then, the Vulcans wanted to use the back bar room for the "Goat Ceremony", and she barked "No, you can't use it", even though we said they could.

THX-You should meet the bartender Marley fired! People were afraid!

Was Marley afraid?

Years ago when I worked at Ciatti's in MPLS, we had an employee that when he was fired, threatened to come back and "GET" a manager.

They got a restraining order against the guy.

THX, you're pretty quiet and shy (until you know someone well... That one nite we had was WILD!). I'd never assume or accuse you of being rude or obusive. That's horrible! I'm inferring this from what Pops and Dad said, but I think they may have had a go-round with her...

And that was NOT RIGHT. If we were a private party and we wanted a Goat Ceremony, then we SHOULD have HAD IT.

Your taste in women's pretty fine... But, THX...??? Guinees and COKE? That sounds HORRIBLE!

MedallionStallion

When the 1908 Chicago White Sox went to the World Series and lost, 8 of them were accused of "fixing" the series, and were forever banned from baseball. Among them was Shoeless Joe Jackson. Incidently he was the only one of the eight who's play in the series was flawless, he played just as well in the World Series as he did during the regular season. So it couldn't be proved just by the way he played that he had "thrown" the series. Nonetheless he was kicked out of baseball for good. It's a well known ledgend that on his way out of the courthouse as he was walking down the steps a young boy stopped him and said "Say it ain't so Joe, Say it ain't so!" He just looked the boy in the eye and said "Kid, I'm afraid it is."

So to me, there obviously a reference to Shoeless Joe Jackson in this first clue, though I also think it's a stab at our complaining about the clues, our complaining that it was in Como again, and sure, I'll also say it could refference Joe Soucheray (Although I personally think he's one of the clue writers). BUT, just as the "crueler crew" was an unoficial jab at the cooler crew, I think this one will be unofficial as well. Therefore, I think there will be something else we can gleam from the first line. I think we would do well to think of parks which have baseball fields. And since there is somewhat of a history of the first clue revealing what my medallion is hidden in or around, I would also keep a look out for shoes or shoe refferences.

That's my two bits. But the important thing is, the first line will officially be explained as a refference to Shoeless Joe Jackson.
