Yeah! Were you able to see the pics? Yahoo photos went down right after I posted the link.
Thanks for posting Frosti. Very nice. How did they stick those coins in the ice, Just hold their thumb on them and melt them in? I didn't see that, where was it located?
There were coins all over the place..
Yeah, CM, just stick with your thumb and they freeze in. Bring a handful of pennies and write a love note to you wife. That'll get you some...

Yep, by the time it's done, that ice palace will be full of pennies
nice way to donate to the ice palace...or the homeless near by!
This is a shot from inside the main tower. The head engineer gave me the tour!!
So.. thats what it looks like at the bottom of Phalen, huh?
CM, if I get you a cd, can I get a copy of your pics when the WC's all done? There's no way I'll be able to get all the cool shots you've gotten. I'd be happy to trade for whatever ones I'll have taken.
I'm still planning on putting all of our best on a CD for you to add to the time lapse. I haven't started on it yet but plan too as soon as I get some time.
I like the way you think, VJ. That would have never occurred to me! Nice picture CM. Looks kind of like a game of pick up sticks gone amok.
That's an awesome pic CM- kinda like you were "with the band"
remember my ice demolition palace model? I submitted it for that contest, got this email in return
"Dear Joel and friends,
We were all laughing outloud when we pulled up your image. You get points for creativity. Thanks for sharing your entry. Hope you had fun. The winners will run in the Express section on Saturday.

At least it had the effect I was going for :)
Cool! I'll look for it in the paper Saturday. After all, you already have some points!
I like that KC. You'd win if I had a vote.
Thanks KT & OT
Love the avatar KT! lol
Great job KC!!!! You've made it.

I saw that! Too bad he was disqualified.
A couple of pics from Wednesday night at the PP.

Here's me and Alibabas with my bro's family in the newspaper for Ely Minnesota. They have this feature where people send in pictures of interesting places where they have been reading the Ely Echo. This was probably the closest photo ever published in there history being it's only in St. Paul. I must have made a good impact with my story. ;-)

cool CM, and here I thought I'd be the only one to make the paper this year ;)
Notice the glowing medallion at bottom right. ;-)
Those are some of the best pictures I've seen yet in terms of truly capturing the magnitude of the crowd and the insanity.
Thanks AW
you guys are awesome!
I love those-
add those to your slide of pics on a cd when you get time to make one-
how many pics can you put on a cd?
funny-I left my lantern in the truck since I knew there would be enough light that last night! experience :)
It is cool to see a picture looking into the Mosh Pit since I was in there looking out! It really was as cramped as I felt :)
CM, what kind of setting were you using to get those? They are great!! Feel free to PM me if you don't wanna bore everybody.
Thanks you guys. I used a 2 second exposure set with a +1.7 light intake. I needed to set it on a tree branch with a timer for some and I leaned against a tree for others.
Picture Post.....
Joe!!
