OTS is working on a web page. If you'd like info about yourself included, post it here. Such as pics, how long they have been hunting...
RushHarley
hunter since 1985, I have taken the last two years off to pursue my film career in HarleyWood but am now moving back to pursue my true passion & career that is making beer (and if I make a film or two back here all the better)!
I started posting to the CC about seven years ago and have come to know many of you from hunting in the field, and you can always recognize me out there as the guy in the cabbie hat.
I return to Minnesnowta the undisputed king of the bocks having won the Fitger's hunt three years in a row before last year when I was not there and I was told that it did not happen.
Hopefully if I can get a replacement cord for my digicamera I'll be able to post my pic for those of you who don't know me already.
I think we should get a male cooler crew pilates class going. I mean, who doesn't like the thought of seeing CM, Ares and ESD doing pilates? I can picture THX in some leg warmers with a headband on.
THX, get Scribs the laptop. I can't live without mine. I bought a light one and hook it up to a port replicator and all the other crap at home, but it is easy to carry on the road.
Regarding Pilates, I think Timmers is the only male board member the chicks have introduced to the pursuit. There are no headbands or leg warmers - just lots of women with their legs in the air - everything a 19-year old could want.
Yes, Joseph Pilates. He was a German guy who used his exercises to keep people healthy at internment camps by using bed springs. He refined his exercises later and they became very popular with ballet dancers.
It focuses on the parts of one's body between the chest and the knees - lots of ab work. It can be performed on mats or with weird looking machines. Both Scribe and I do the mat based Pilates.
I gotta website you can link if you wanna its http://wickednick.cjb.net(Its currently being re-done... be patient) also.. my AIM screen names are wickednick408899 and jshaggsicp69 i use them both alot... so... look for me under them... if'n you wanna add an e-mail to it... its ronjon99@hotmail.com
OnThe... Why don't you contact Jackie and Trent and *ask* them if you may use their pictures? Explain to them what you're doing and that many folks don't have any pics of themselves but for the ones they've taken. Tell them you'll give them credit (may have to put something under the pic or somewhere - something like that), but given if you give credit and with why you're doing it, I'd be surprised if they said no.
But you should ask. Better that way then them find out and toss a hissy-fit over their copywrited stuffs and have you yank all the pics... They're not monsters. Very nice folks. Contact them and introduce yourself! :D
Ian said that he had sent them an email a couple days ago asking if we could use the pics. I already have set them up a link which they approved for me. They even sent me a better gif then the one I had. I don't see the pics being an issue.
Nice.. thats a tight picture, Frosti... incase anyones reading this, that dont know which of us is which.... in that pic, im the ninja with the blue and yellow paint...
Among the potato salad, sloppy Joe medallions, coffee and desserts, the Pioneer Planet Water Cooler Crew met face to face on a chilly, Sunday, February afternoon. Representatives from the Pioneer Planet were there to record this phenomenon and Greg Sax, a native St. Paulite, then residing in Milwaukee, arranged to have the first “You Dig?” buttons available.
This group then decided it should have a website of it’s own. The Pioneer Planet agreed to sponsor a website, Greg Sax agreed to volunteer his time as webmaster and all that was now needed was a URL for this new site! After much discussion, a decision was reached. www.coolercrew.com would be the site and this online community would be known as the Cooler Crew!
The rest of the history can be found woven among each year’s clues, images and stories at this website.
In 2002, Knight-Ridder, the owners of the Pioneer Press, decided to change the format and get rid of the discussion forums that had brought this group of hunters together. At that same time, the sponsoring of the website was dropped. The Water Coolers were gone.
But the spirit of the Cooler Crew was bigger than Knight-Ridder. A new place for online discussions was found and a new home for the coolercrew.com site was arranged. Once we had the release of the domain name, the new webmasters, Ares, Marley King and Artemis the Huntress, put the website back online. Knight-Ridder took the Water Cooler away, but did not take the Cooler out of the Crew.
I remember associating Greg Sax with those old one-of-a-kind yelling-guy avatars that all of us had. I assume that they took up too much space in the archives just to have those stupid pix included?

Yes, Joseph Pilates. He was a German guy who used his exercises to keep people healthy at internment camps by using bed springs. He refined his exercises later and they became very popular with ballet dancers.
