Marning, 'Heads!

::said in a slightly bitchy voice...::No, KT, this is *not* the 'green' network... I just see no reason to put drivel in non-drivel threads. [end bitchy voice]

::places big toe on persoanl soap box...::I'm kind'a a purest. If ittiz not Hunt related (or whatever), I like to stick here. For one reason, it belongs here. For annuder ittiz just easier to read everything in one place and not follow a billion flags around.

Ah, yes! "Malarky Park"! CRACK ME UP!!!

You've a beautiful voice, KT. I'll go find the 'correct' lyrics today if I have time. This is so cooler! I never EVER did like that song, so for me it really fits to use it! :D

There will be another dream for me, someone will bring it

One in and one more to go on door #1.

The secretary for the association showed up with mail while I was in the shower. He hadn't heard yet about the break in here. So little of that happens here that it's quite a shock to folks.

Reg - It's cuz you don't have a girl friend yet. Once that love bug bites, you'll know about important, romantic holidays.

PayMe, that izz SO COOLER! The marriage - on a cruse ship! - and you getting 'to be there' via webcam! What a neat idea!

I'm tooin' and froin'... Cleaning. This place is the pitts after three weeks o'doing nuttin' around here. I won't get it all done today as doing warsh, too, but I'll have the downstairs done but for the putter room. Well, I'll have most o'the downstairs done! I'm doing the 100%cleaneverthang bit so some stuff mite not get done.

Still, it feels good to take the house bock from the dust kitties and puggies. Now that the holidays and The Hunt's over, I'm feeling domestic.

Can't do too much bending - my back's killing me - but for that I feel pretty good after last week. I still can smell only 'dust' and my lungs are pretty icky - like I'm getting bronchitis or sumpin. May use a face mask next week. All day at work I blow my nose - and I'm still doing that and sneezing. Icky, dirty, heavy, hard work... But kind'a fun. Though I DON'T want to bee doing this for the rest o'my life, letmetellyou!

Reg, trust me. You're not the only one that didn't know it was Valentine's Day.

Green - those dust masks are a good idea. Because of the sandy soil here and all that, I now make Inks wear one when he's mowing lawn up here. Breathing dirt, dust and sand isn't good for a body.

It would have been nice but from what we can tell a breifcase and card took there vows today, no sign of my uncle. Called the cruiseline and they were no help, the ship docks tomorrow so we will find out what happened then.

I need to get this pigsty back into shape, will be working on that the rest of the weekend. Why does it seem that is all we do clean clean clean....I feel like Cinderella....I already got the prince now I just need the money:)

Sat, 02/14/2004 - 12:56 PM Permalink

I keep threatening to get a person to come in and clean - but I think I'd have to clean it first so they wouldn't think I was keeping a pig sty.

I have had the same EXACT thought. have someone come in to take care of it but would need to clean a lot before they got here:) This has been a long week.

There is someone who does a really nice job that lives up here...but there'd only be the dusting and vacuuming to do here as we aren't here but weekends and manage to pick up as we go here. Laundry is always done by the time we leave on Sunday.

It's the place in the cities that really gets bad...especially the computer room and the kitchen. That table ends up being the catch-all for everything and it's brother. The computer room is another story.

I need to learn how to throw stuff out. I have too much stuff! I really need to simplify my life but it's hard to do.

Sat, 02/14/2004 - 1:06 PM Permalink
Terry

We did that...sorted stuff and moved stuff out. Hardly noticed the difference in the cities, but managed to furnish this place.

Now with the daughter and her stuff when she moved back, it's ridiculous. She's saying she might move out again in August. She'd like to find a place to share with a friend. I just hope she takes all her stuff with her!

I, too, have considered a cleaning lady - if I'm ever able to afford one. And have the same thought - "Gotta get this placed cleaned before they come."

The putter room? SOMEDAY I'll get it cleaned. When I move?

I was in the process of simplifing my life, when I went and made it even more complicated that what it was! Now nothing can bee pitched as "it could be used for something... Someday." So it piles up, never gets put anywhere. Unless I do it. And then ittiz in the trash! LOL!!!

And I won't EVEN do the compare to Cinderella thighy! Gonna keep my trap shut. I've been going since 9:00 AM and I'm beat. And this place izz STILL horrible. PayMe, like you, I'm gonna be doing this all weekend. And back to lugging heavy boxes Monday.

My wife said a couple weeks ago that she thought we should only get cards for each other for valentines day and no gifts. I told her that was ok, but I wanted to do something and maybe we could go out to eat. I forgot that I had an oral surgery schedualed on 3 sides of my mouth for thursday. So thursday I had the surgery and realized we can't go out for dinner being as I can't chew. So even though she said she didn't want anything (they all say that) I knew better and figured I'd get her some flowers, balloons, and a card. I didn't sleep much thursday (4 hours) and really needed a nap so we could make 2 b-day parties fri night. Of course I waited 'till the last minute to go get the stuff and was hurring to get to bed.
When I got home my neighbor said there was a delivery for me over at his house. He brought it over and it was some flowers with my name on it. I told him that we wern't buying anything for each other and I was glad I got flowers because obviously she did too. Then I made a comment that they better be from my wife or I was in trouble!
So I went in the house and abandoned my idea of hiding the stuff in the basement till saturday (I didn't want her knowing on friday because she would get something for me then)and set everthing up on the table and signed my card and had roses in the vase etc.
After I had everthing ready I opened the flowers she sent me. THEY WERN"T FROM HER!
The paradontist (dentist) sent them to me for being a good patient! I was too tired to go back and hide the stuff after all that so I left them there. When she got home I had to tell her not to get me anything.
Nice getting flowers from my paradontist, but it really screwed me up with the timing. I thought maybe I'd send a thank you card and tell them I'd send flowers to them back, but I just paid their bill and can't afford it!

cept maybe some affection. Women say they don't want anything but really do. Even if they say they don't, If your a guy you better get 'em something! If you don't they'll never let you forget about it.

remember that year you didn't get me anything???

G'Oldie, admire someone worth admiring. Not me.

I have to do 'it.' At work, what could I have said, "Nope. Get someone else."? For one thing, there's no one else that would have found it important to do a good job of matching thousands and thousands - in dollars, too - of items to packing slips. Ittiz well known at work that if there's a prob, green will find it and that I like puzzles and would find it fun matching up assorted boxes.

Another thing, my compliance boat's not built yet... Until we get futher along in a bunch of merging small companies stuff, ittiz not gonna bee built. Gotta put the cart before the horse kind'a thing. So, if I had said, "Forget it" there's the possibility - though a bit, but not too remote - I'd have been shown the door. Who knows? Wasn't about to take that chance.

And truthfully? It really is kind'a fun. For awhile. Like I said, I don't want to do this forever - I CAN'T!!! LOL!!! But, for a bit I'm getting far more xcercise than I have in AGES - and it feels good. I'm getting to be-bop which I just love to do! I'm so into music and when ittiz good I just can't keep still! Ittiz fun matching up the boxes, figuring out stuff - what I'm going to do with product that's GE, but not ours; how I'm going to resolve that and things like boxes with no packing slips and/or return address (Can you BELIEVE the STUPIDITY of some PEOPLE!!!!); and other 'problems.' My boss knows I can find a glitch and get it fixed. So, the right person was choosen for the job... Just not for the heavy labor stuff! :D

And around here? Well, lettuce just say... Gonna keep my trap shut.

Oh.... MIKEY!!!! You are so cute and sweet!!!

I'm a romantic - big time. And I so like giving/doing for those I love. But I was too tired last nite (should'a done the 11 hour sleep thighy...) so skurried out today while The Sleeping Giant slept... I'd been so busy this past week that I didn't even realize it was Valentine's Day today until Kogren mentioned last nite that it was Fri the 13th!!!

Besides a Wilds sweatshirt, a *something* sweet and private... LOL!!!, a HUGE chocolate heart that says 'I LOVE YOU' on it with a chocolate red rose, a sappy card from moi, and a card to Daddy from The Furry Kids... When I made my usual weekend breakfast of bacon and eggs - I cut the toast into hearts...

I got plastic stuff all around my teeth on 3 sides to protect the stitches. No brushing for a week! Everthing gets caught on it! Just have to rinse a lot. The plastic sticks out though and every time I close my mouth I end up biting my cheek on the inside.

That just reinforces it green. You do the job with out grumbling (at least out loud) and make it fun! I'd love to see you bopping to the tunes! So take the compliment for what it is! :)

Sat, 02/14/2004 - 2:43 PM Permalink
green

Aaaawwwwwww.... G'OLDIE! I love you. You are such a dear!

There's really nothing to grumble about. I'm doing my thang, watching the pallets diminish, seeing product pile up in boxes - ittiz really quite satisfying. I'm goal oriented (not a process person) so being able to see what I've accomplished izz good.

And the music... That's such a bonus. I listen to the ra-did-ee-o in my cave [cube], but ittiz NOTHING like have good tunes full blast in your ears - and being able to move to it! :D

No, I will not go quietly into that night... Not me!

Mikey! You're welcome! I hear you about "refusing" to do anything during The Hunt. The world stops for me those two weeks. There is nothing - NOTHING - but The Hunt.

So? Give the wifey a hug and a kiss... And a raincheck. I bet she'll understand. I know I would.
