I got talked into a orange sherbet/chocolate ice cream thing once at Baskin Robbins...and it was good! I thought it sounded odd and that I wouldn't like it..but it was a nice surprise.

Root beer floats are to DIE for! One o'my favs...

You should take the wifey and kids up to Taylors Falls. There's a place up there, only open in the summer, that makes their OWN root beer. Stuff izz better than any A&W I've ever had and I used to swear by them.

Try it! Fun, pretty drive... And get their 'burgers! As good as greasey bar burgers!

THX - those are good memories. Those traditional things our parents did with us.

I'm not sure my kids appreciate all the little traditions I've tried to keep going here - but maybe they will when they have kids of their own.

The creamery in Hayward is a block off of Main St. The street before Main as you're coming into town.

So what's the name of it, green?

Here's a question for stereo buffs:

As I'm looking for a new CD player and probably looking at a component system, is there any brand name anyone likes better than another?

green

The name?

I can't remember!

Ittiz on the like main street. I'd know the name if I heard it. I just know how to get there; the name's not important to me!

When the road curves around to go to WI... You go kind'a straight, like straight through the stop light. Go north, that's the way the road's heading. And you go a bit... Maybee about 3-4 blocks. You'll pass "Coffee Talk" on your left... And down just a bit, on the right, izz this drive-in. Ittiz a drive-in. Even has the awnings and the poodled-girls come out to your car. They even have the red rubbery-meshy thighys on the trays that hang on your window!!!!

FULL MOUSE PALAMINO JOE!!!

Otay... Just past it a bit, on the right. NICE greasey cheeze burgers. And you can buy the root beer to take home! To have with French Vanilla ice cream.... Oh! SO GOOD!

There's a creamery in Hayward that we stop at when we go up to the lake.

Find the bakery in Hayward .. My family drives 30-40 miles out of our way just to get the different kinds or breads!!

I know where the bakery is. Pass it on my way to the candy store. ;) I'll have to stop in next time.

I just got back from our cabin...

put on 225 miles on my snowmobile from sat. am til this afternoon.
Trails are perfect(not bumpy) and nobody in our group wrecked anything.

I spent way toooo much money but had fun. My snowmobile wasn't running great soo it was sucking down gas, oil(6quarts more then normal)($6 quart), and sparkplugs....worst thing its back in the shop.

I have had the damn thing in the shop 3x in past 3 trips I've been on. GRRR....but it still is fun.

just wanted to tell everybody a little about my weekend....

I know lots of other folks were doing the same thing, Kitch. Trailers and trailers and trailers with snowmobiles up and back on 35 this weekend.

Clue Master

is there any brand name anyone likes better than another?

I guess I like Kenwood for home and Pioneer for car. Anything but Sony. Sony is kinda cheap I guess but you'll need to replace the unit sooner than the rest. Kenwood gives you plenty of bang for your buck. I've heard that Harmon Kardon is good too.

One of my sons who knows something about these things has Harmon Kardon.

I think I'm more confused the more I look online and read about various stereo systems. This is definately going to take some time to find just the right one.

all this ice cream talk, anyone remember the old North Saint Paul Dairy building over on Century? I remember them having some of the best ice cream cones, and cheap to boot, was a favorite place of mine to go in the summer.

Green - Stuff comes off the teeth on thursday morn...can't wait!

Terry V- I agree with Cluemaster about Kenwood. Harmon Cardin is really good too. A lot of DVD players will play music,MP3,video disks,Jpeg files etc. Intead of getting a plain CD deck you might consider an "all around" DVD player.

I agree with MMM.

I'd get a home theater instead of a stereo.

"Malarkey Park" lyrics revised

Spring was never good for treasure hunts,
or digging in the snow, for blue medallions.
We waited for the pages from the Press,
to tell us where to go
It became just like a dance.

(chorus)
In Malarkey Park, there's a donut in the dark,
All the sweet green icing flowing down.
Someone hid the cake deep in the snow-
And I think that 'coon did take it-
He just dug it up and ate it
And I'll never see that sweet blue coin again!
OH NO!!!!

I recall the clues from one to ten
Telling me to look from here to Timbuktu.
Then came that special last clue-
I found myself in Hell-
With a thousand more or two.

In Malarkey Park there's a donut in the dark,
All the sweet green icing flowing down-
Someone hid the cake deep in the snow
And I think that 'coon did take it-
He just dug it up and ate it.
And I'll never see that sweet blue coin again!!!

Good Evening!

KT - Very nice job!!

Been slogging all the boards around here. Love the creativity with the Trent board. Simply awesome.

OT has found interesting stuff in her basement.

Geocaching seems to be catching on around these parts.

Thanks for the info about stereo equipment. I'm a bit torn about doing a home theater. I only own maybe 10 movies. We aren't big into movie stuff...though our director saw Miracle over the weekend and said it's top notch!

Mac Arthur Park Lyrics

Spring was never waiting for us girl it ran one step ahead as we followed in the dance
'Tween the parted pages and were pressed
In love's hot fevered iron like a stripped pair of pants
I recall the yellow cotton dress
Foaming like a wave on the ground around your knees
And birds like tender babies in your hands
And the old man playing checkers by the trees
Mac Arturh Park is melting in the dark all the sweet green ising flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never had that recipe again oh no

There will be another songs for me for I will sing it
There will be another dream for me someone will bring it
I'll drink the wine while it is warm and never let you catch me looking in the sun
But after all the loves of my life after all the loves of my life you'll still be the one
I will take my life into my hands and I will use it
I will win the worship in their eyes and I will lose it
I will have the things that I desire
And my passions flow like rivers through the sky
But after all the loves of my life oh after all the loves of my life
I'll be thinking of you and wondering why
Mac Arturh Park is melting...
