Came home to find Bubba hanging from his back right let from one o'the mini blinds in the living room.
I've no idea how long he'd been entangled. Got him cut down - bless his heart he was as good as gold and didn't go beserko and bite/claw me to death.
He limped out to the kitchen for chow... But since then has been dragging himself around. I wondering if ittiz due to the feeling coming back into his leg? The tingles? Like he's trying to rub it as it feels funny?
The leg didn't feel any colder than the other one, and there didn't seem to be maybe but a small wee bit of swelling... I rubbed the leg - wanting to get blood circulating down into the foot...
Now he's just lying in a kitty cozy - dead to the world. Bet the stress really took it outta him. The poor thing!
I'll rub his leg periodically during the nite - to make sure the blood circulates. And watch for swelling... If there was any arterial/vein damage - there could be swelling from that.
Prolly his leg's now hurting, now that feeling can come back in.
The poor thing! I'm just sick for and with worry for him!!!
Hip and knee are okay. All the discomfort/pain seems to be at the 'ankle' joint where the ligature was (shudder). I hate using that word...
That joint seems to be okay as far as being in place, but he sure doesn't like to have it touched. Bet the muscles/tendons are sore - I can just imagine!
So, think everything's in place... Will just have to watch for loss of blood.
Cats have xtremely high pain thresholds and can take a lot of pain. Hence chow being so important and him getting to it! :D Enkneeweigh, he's quiet and responsive and the leg's warm, though he can't stand me touching the 'bunny foot' part or that last joint. So... I'll just stroke myself out for the next day or two with worry and keep an eye on things...
He's not liking me rubbing it, but he's gonna have to deal with it! So THERE!
Thanks, Mikey. So far, so good... The next couple o'days will be telling...
Don't think for a minute that I'm not counting my blessings... I realize it could have been worse, but won't say. Don't wanna go down that road and consider it more than what I have.
The silly little guy! You see, he's not named "Bubba" for nothing! Not the brighest kit in the litter! LOL!!! Poor sweetie! I hurt for him so... My poor baby!!!
Digger... Bubba kind'a tried to chew/claw my arm for a sec... And then just stopped. He's such a sweet fellow. Abys are so smart. They're not like other cats. So, he quit, and just looked up at me - mewling.
I cut the blind to hell and back, to relieve the tension, and then cut Bubba free. He never moved a muscle. Just looked me in the eye... "Help me, momma, please?"
ok- I got some funky questions...anyone know any answers? anyone?
Quonset hut? supposedly an area or house or something in the JJHill area of St Paul- roughly around 1945-ish
anyone heard of the PLANTATION? in White Bear Lake? 1920's-1930's timeframe. Is it still there? anything you can tell me about it.
anyone heard of a local company named AM. EX. Co. ? roughly around 1870's.
Does anyone know anything about chauffers licenses? looking for something related to them that are round brass tags the size of a half dollar (but thinner than a coin) with a hole at the top.
the quonset hut were like the barracks used in gommerpile. you walk right in at ground level and they have an arch to them.
but I never heard of an "area" near the JJ Hill school or the Cathedral that had them made up for people to live in after the war. thats really what I am looking for. supposedly they were there- but why? and where?
GREEN ...holy ...i read that and I'm very nervous 4 you.....I just couldnt' read fast enough to find out what happened....it was like a good book that you are nervous to keep reading because you don't know what happens......
Yeah, I'm way bummed that Alibabas missed TMK's hunt at that one park last year.
IGH had one last summer but it was more of an Easter egg hunt type of thing. I have her do clue find hunts all the time here at home. The whole family loved it last year as I did it for the kids and the adults. The kids were done in different age categories of course with the same answer to the clue but explained at different levels. It was pretty fun.
Finally Dad is home and I don't have to play both Mom AND Dad. Makes you really appreciate the work that single parents must put in.
The demolition of the ice palace sounds really cool to watch.....wonder if it'll still be on the live webcam....might just have to hook up to that from work to see what I can see.
I used up all my time reading posts again this morning....one of these evenings, I'm going to get to come in here and just hang out!
Bye, Lisa! Thanks, and you have a great one, too!
Anything is fine with us. We're flexible and yes, we like Outback.
That's right! Ittiz your birthday on Saturday! Happy Birthday!
I've got to keep on keeping on here. At least it's not a Monday...and only 3 more wakeups till Finally Friday!!!
See yaz all tonight!
Thanks, Ter!
Me too... I've got to get over to The Salt Mine and abuse this old body some more.
Can I tell you? Even where I *sit* hurts! Now... how I've been using THOSE muscles doing what I'm doing, I've not figured out!
EVERBUDDY have a GREAT DAY and catch you guys tonite!
as most of you know ...i'm a debt collector....I think I just got a 12k paymnt... (oh that will make my month go a little easier if it pans out)

as most of you know ...i'm a debt collector
Yeah. And we let you post here anyway!
:-)
I told ya I'm a nice guy....just a jerk on the phone.....so just don't let me call you.
Funny, You didn't try to take any money from me when I called you with the clues.....
I told ya I'm a nice guy....just a jerk on the phone..... so just don't let me call you.
As long as I pay my bills, there's no reason for you to be calling me.
:-)
Now if you guys could just figure out that my wife hasn't been with her ex in 4 1/2 years!!
We still get bill collector calls & mail for him.
Xcel even went so far as to put what he owed on my bill.
OTS--thats because I thought you handed me 10K......the stone windows thing got me a little giddy.
My gods, I'm shaking like a leaf...

Maybe he dislocated it or something trying to wiggle free? Poor thing. :(
Ah, crap, G'Oldie... I never thought o'that. I'm glad you mentioned it...

Our neighbor's cat hung itself in the same way, so you are lucky. Or I should say Bubba is very lucky!
Hope your cat is alright green, I had a cat do that once he tore my arm to hamburger when I set him free.
Digger... Bubba kind'a tried to chew/claw my arm for a sec... And then just stopped. He's such a sweet fellow. Abys are so smart. They're not like other cats. So, he quit, and just looked up at me - mewling.

Nice cat my cat felt sorry after I think he was just scared, he was just an old tom cat we adopted

chauffers licenses
I saw some of those in an antique store in Stillwater a month or so back. They were sort of like badges for taxi drivers.
the quonset hut were like the barracks used in gommerpile.

I remember quonset huts. Lots of them around then. But I sure don't remember any in that area. Sounds strange to me.
GREEN ...holy ...i read that and I'm very nervous 4 you.....I just couldnt' read fast enough to find out what happened....it was like a good book that you are nervous to keep reading because you don't know what happens......

Well I was right but I wasn't the one to find it. :-(
http://www.snowflakedays.org/2_17Clue.htm
bummer CM, well.. there's always more medallion hunts out there, and of course Geocaching ;)
I think we should talk more about setting up Mock hunt(s) for the cooler crew kids.
to get them ready for the 12th clue frenzy next year? are you mad?
lol
No thats what Hockey is for.
setting up Mock hunt(s) for the cooler crew kids

We could have it set with "age" groups but in the same park. So we're able to have maybe more then one hunt? More then one hidden item?
Obviously I can't have my 4 and 5 year old decoding clue 3 stuff but we can make it fun and simple and harder as the ages climb.
There was some Krispy creme around here somewhere but the last time I saw them CM was here..... hmmmmmm
Good morning crew I am off to school
Good Morning!
Finally Dad is home and I don't have to play both Mom AND Dad. Makes you really appreciate the work that single parents must put in.

I think it would be good fun. I know the Crew has spoken of it before....
I wish I could help.... My son is in school in Maple Grove....
gift cards and stuff would work.. of course we might have to work out some thanks for trying prizes so as not to dissapoint anyone.
