lol well I wouldn't take it unless no one else wanted it, we've had stuff sitting in the lost and found box for years, then someone makes an announcement about people checking it to see if they had lost anything, then a bit later they toss the stuff out.
I'd also wash that hat in really hot water after putting it in a plastic bag for 24 hours!
eh, for all I know I'll go there tonight and it'll be gone anyways. At least I saw one ;)
I would just tell who ever is in charge of lost and found that if no one claims it you want it :)
I wonder if I can tell that to my church that has a nice BOSE radio right on top of the coat rack????
Just got back from the remains of the Ice Palace. I only have time to post 1 pix. The one of us 3 didn't get the palace in the background me2 because Alibabas was just too short. I'll post more later as I'm sure me2 will too. I didn't see you KC? What gives? ;-)
Haha CM, I was on the sidestreet (nearest where the backhoe started)at 9:45 to 10:30, I got some nice shots but can't post em right now, cause I'm at work.
I did have an idea though, think it's possible to get a piece of fabric from one of the spires? That'd last much longer than an ice block, not to mention from the looks of it, I don't think they're saving em...
one shot I did, this was when some guy next to me shouted "Hey Mayor!" to get him to look his way. I missed the wave though.
After the first bit was taken out.
I'm not sure why, but I like this shot... Must have something to do with the cathedral, the ice palace, the backhoe, and the crowd all in line with the camera...

The walk signs help the pix too. Using them as a guide, you can get the same shot with the summer sand castle in it.
The vulcans with various clubs, bats, hammers held high before marching up to the palace to take a few swings.. (I was at a bad angle to see them after they disappeared to the middle of the palace.
those stinkin fences... actually, this is one of the few shots I liked having the fence in...

Hey Kitch, I read in the other thread... I didn't know you were getting a wireless router. Otherwise I wouldn't have offered my old wired one.
Anyway, I got my wireless installed last night.
Works great. I went all over the house with the laptop, and was still getting "Excellent" connection. Did a few speed tests, and was connecting between 2 - 2.6 MB.

I didn't tell THX...I forgot I had it up on the shelf until you said something yesterday!!! I got it free when I bought the laptop along with all kinds of software that I don't use.....I got about 600 in free software, router, wireless card, 2 keyboards, 3 mice, laptop bag, etc.....compusa was just throwing the crap out...and I just asked the manager what can he give me for free if i signed up on a 3yr service plan.
I will get some pics up soon.

Oddly, I've never been able to view the KSTP videos on my home computer, I'll try em here at work, unsure if I can save them or not.
I can't view them at work because of their firewall. I set up my firewall at home to allow streaming vid. I can't seem to find how to save them in XP. I could always go into the Windows temp file in '98. But I can't find it in XP Anyone? ares, THX?

After all is said and done, might be two discs worth of material...?
And if anyone was able to record anything off TV (news reports, ice palace footage, etc) onto tape, if they can get me a copy of it somehow (I'd just need the tape for an evening to record it digitally), please let me know. Not sure how I'll arrange to pick it up, but we got some time, I have no set set time to get it done, I figure, the more content, the better.
