A vest costs $20, socks cost $25, a tie costs $15 and a blouse costs $30. Using the method, how much would a pair of underwear cost?
I figured this is one of those which number comes next in this sequence problems.
20, 25, 15, 30 - the next number would be 10 (following the sequence of first and third numbers being different by 5 to the negative while the 2nd and 4th numbers increase by 5). That would make the 5th number 10 (15 - 5)
21- Wait for the guard to come out and check the bridge. After the guard goes in, go on the bridge towards the Swiss side for 2 minutes. Then turn back and walk towards the German side. When the guard comes out, go to him, show him you have no papers. He should send you back to the Swiss side, thinking you came from there.
how about the other one? Crosby maybe? I only say that because of the crosby farm... not sure if it was the first one or not, bt it would make sense, it was along the river, so easy water (especially if the rest of the land wasn't irrigated because no one else was there)
I went back to edit my answer to #20 to make myself clearer but it was too late.
What I'm trying to say is, a woman can have two babies in one year. Nine month gestation. So she could have had one of the babies at the same time, same year, same hospital, same parents in say January, and had the second in December to make it not quite so freaky.
OT - I think you're right about Whiskey. Whatever that horses name is, didn't they have to move where he was buried a couple years ago because of light rail or some such thing?
That's a possibility! lol I remember there wasn't much fan fare when they moved it and I felt bad because we always looked for it driving down the road.
Now that I've noodled more noodles than I thought I had left, I'm going to hit the sheets. I'm done in!
We had to shovel in the cities and then got up here to shovel 4 more inches of snow. The neighbor who we are so blessed to have that usually cleans us up did something to his back this past week. He called before we left the city and apologized even.
It was on the south side. Near the Air Force Reserve hangars. Kind of in there. There used to be barracks along that side of the road that have been torn down. My father served at Fort Snelling.
Honestly.. when I first moved here... which was in Sep 2000...I was doing everything i could to learn about the area. We moved to New Hope. Tehre was an article in the city pages about this creek that wasn't doing so well.
Just happened to pass right by where I was living. There is also Comcast hubsite not far from where the creek runs. I did a little time as a Reserve police officer in New hope so again.. getting to know the area......
Well I'm late as usual but I know I got 19-24 right anyway by myself. But not so sure on 25. I want to say the undies cost $10 because looking at each item individually, they cost $5 less than the items before it. Some sort of sale. I'll still need to think about this one.
I just wish all the clues were like these well thought out riddles. AW had one of his entire hunts like this. TMK, MK and LM had a few clues like these as well.
These types of clues are those classics that sit in the back of your mind for years to come.
It's way fun knowing what you think the answer is to a 'clue' and then seeing how different people interpret it. You see their reasoning and are trully impressed but appreciate how close they actually are. Kinda like my thoughts on 25. I know I could be way off but it was fun to play regardless. Especially when ya prove I'm wrong and it's better than what I thought to begin with.

#24. The flat tire was on a car that they didn't drive?
#20 They were born the same year, but not the same month.
#21 - She walks backwards to appear to be walking towards germany...and carries papers?
OT - I would bet you're right about the house not jumping. DUH!
Isn't this fun?
It is fun. Makes you use your noodle and makes you feel the fool when you don't get something that later seems so obvious.
#25 Socks are $25. They come in pairs and are underwear, right? So with that reasoning I say that a pair of underwear costs $25.
I like these... keeps us quick :)
I think you're right about the woman walking backwards and carrying papers, Terry. If you are I was half right! lol

#24 - the word scurry I think is the key somehow. I don't know that I've ever scurried anywhere in a car.

24- The spare tire in the trunk was flat?
man I can hardly keep up in here.

I just deleted a message because it gave too much information too soon. ;)

So you saw it, huh? lol

Or maybe they have a third sibling who was born about the same time, so they're triplets, not twins.
I think it was earlier than that Terry. I think it was when they tore down those old barracks and widened the road.
You don't suppose they moved that poor horse's bones more than once, do you? LOL!!!
I'm going to guess Crosby is the first white settler to farm. That farm up near the U of M campus was later I think.
Of course, in the end, it's probably someone by the name of Anderson or Johnson!
That's a possibility! lol I remember there wasn't much fan fare when they moved it and I felt bad because we always looked for it driving down the road.
is it by the national cemetary? or more towards the fort?

See yaz in the morning!
Goodnight, SCDs and MCL!

Night Terry. I was going to shovel this morning but Mother Nature did the trick for me!
I'll have to go see that grave someday.
They can probably steer you to the right place at the information center. I'm not sure exactly where they moved it to.
bonus question for the evening,
What is the name of the buried stream running through downtown minneapolis?
Bassett Creek? for the bonus....? I think it passes way up by me in New Hope and Crystal and heads in to MPLS.
How about the city sewer system? ;)
well since it's a bonus, that is correct. How'd you happen to know that?
He cheated. lol

lol I was giving him the benefit of the doubt.
Cool OTS
I was teasing search.

Now I'm really out of here. Talk to you tomorrow.
