#19 A doctor and a bus driver are both in love with the same woman, an attractive girl named Sarah. The bus driver had to go on a long bustrip that would last a week. Before he left, he gave Sarah seven apples. Why?

An apple a day keeps the doctor away.

#20 Two girls have were born the same day, at just about the same time, in the same hospital, the same year, and they have the same parents. How is it possible that they aren't twins?

One was born nine months later.

#21 A woman who lived in germany during world war two wanted to cross the german/swiss border in order to escape nazi persuers. The bridge which she is to cross is a half mile across, over a large canyon. Every three minutes a guard comes out of his bunker and checks if anyone is on the bridge. If a person is caught trying to escape german side to the swiss side they are shot. If caught crossing the other direction without papers they are sent back. She knows that it takes at least five minutes to cross the bridge, in which time the guard will see her crossing and shoot her.

How does she get across?

She walks for about 2.9 minutes, which will get her more than half way, turns around and walks back towards where she came from, she gets "Sent Back" by the guard to the side she was going to.

#22 A woman was sitting on a windowsill on the 35th floor of a building. She was about to commit suicide. The police surrounded the bottom of the building telling her NOT to jump. Her husband was in the room with her and kept trying to stop her. She got nervous and fell, yet she did not get or hurt or even a scratch. Why?

She falls in, not out.

#23 A guy bet his neighbor $100 dollars that his dog could jump higher than a house. Thinking this not possible, the neighbor took the bet an lost.

Why did he lose the bet?

A house can't jump.

#24 Two bankrobbers rob the local bank. They then hop in their car and scurry off to their hideout 20 miles away. When they get there they realize that one of their tires had been completely flat the whole time.

How did they get to their hideout without noticing?

Have to come back to this one.

#25 There is a clothing store in Bartlesville. The owner has devised his own method of pricing items. A vest costs $20, socks cost $25, a tie costs $15 and a blouse costs $30. Using the method, how much would a pair of underwear cost?

I'll have to come back to this one.

I get the reasoning about the non-twins being born on the same day as being 9 months apart - but to me the same day is the same day...February 21 is not the same as November 21. I'm reading that riddle with the idea that the same day is exactly the same day (Feb. 21 is the same day as Feb. 21).

The same day, not the same date. Monday, for instance. Anyway, that's how I figure it.

I must be remembering the first time they moved him in the '60's. I wonder if my father was there at the same time he was and that's why he had such a fascination with him? I don't know when my dad served, and it was for a short time because he got a medical discharge because of a goiter. I guess I'd better dig into some more stuff and find his discharge papers. I've seen them somewhere. He was born in 1897, so the dates sound about right.

I'm just stopping in for a second....

You all are going to be really upset at the answer to the twins question :).....

Hint.... Don't concetrate on looking for some trick in the date or timing.... They are sisters and they were born within moments of each other.....

The answer lays in the question "What aren't they twins? "

#19 An Apple A Day Keeps The Doctor Away!

#20 hee-hee...they were part of Triplets!

#21 She waits until the guard goes inside his hut, and begins to walk across the bridge. She gets a little more than half way, turns around, and begins to walk toward the german side once more. The guard comes out, sees that she has no papers, and sends her "back" to the swiss side.

#22 She fell INTO her room instead of out the window!

#23 Simple...a house cannot jump!

#24 The flat was the spare tire in the trunk.

#25 At $5 a letter you'd be charged $45 for underwear.
