got home to a message on my answering machine from Boys Totem Town, seems the couple at the group home chris was in havn't seen him for 2 day's, back to the same ol' shit I guess :(
In recent days, the well-financed assault on Canterbury Park's proposed Racino continued, as 60,000 Minnesota precinct caucus attendees received a glossy flier with severe misrepresentations about the gaming industry.
Ironically, the Pioneer Press believes the flier was prepared by a group aligned with the Minnesota Taxpayers League, with financial assistance from existing Tribal Casinos that are attempting to keep their untaxed monopoly on gambling in the state. While it may seem strange and cynical for tribal casino interests to fund a frontal attack on gambling, that appears to be what happened here.

The brochure urged caucus attendees to pass resolutions against the "expansion of gambling" and against the wishes of the 70% of Minnesotans who support the Racino. Please strongly consider attending your precinct caucus this Tuesday, March 2nd, and let people know who paid for the anti-gaming pieces - the Tribal Casinos and those who receive funding from them.

Make sure people know the truth about the Racino at Canterbury Park:
The Racino is supported by 70% of Minnesotans. The Racino would not expand gambling in Minnesota. It doesn't create any new gaming locations, introduce gaming to a new community (as Canterbury Park already operates horse racing, tele-racing and a 24-hour card club) or even introduce any new games to Minnesota. The Racino would generate $150 million in new gaming tax revenue every two years for the state when fully operational. The Racino would be a major boost to the state's $1 billion horse economy by providing investments in the racing and show industry. Thank you for continuing to support the Racino. With your help, we can finally make the Racino vision a reality - Finally a Jackpot for all Minnesotans.
yeah, grandma and grandpa are picking up lil' roaster early on sunday so we are coming to ferns for a while and then heading to the wild game after that.
Just got home from the Girl's Hockey Tournament. The streak ended at 86 or something like that. Eden Prairie beat the Packers 3-1 this afternoon. Eden Prairie played a very good game and deserved the win. It was a good run though! How can you complain when you've won that many consecutive games and won the state tournament twice? :(
Well, I'm heading out there tomorrow morning for the next game. Hope they can forget this and win consolation. So. St. Paul loves consolation! I think the boys teams have a record for consolation titles. lol
That's a nice way to look at it, ares! I'm excited again after being very disappointed last night. My niece has another year so it's not over for her. I'm off in about an hour. The parking stinks during the day.
My niece has another year so it's not over for her.
Thats good but isn't the team going to be lacking some of the key players after this year??? Or is it the jr. class that has all the key players.....Per my neice that is in the eight grade...the team is going to go downhill fast in the next few years.....she said other schools are now starting to catch up.
Heck Magggie (my neice) just became a goalie this past year because nobody wanted to do it....maybe she will became a brickwall and the team will get better when she makes the varsity team....
They only have two seniors on the team this year. Granted, one is the goalie, but when she stepped up to goalie people were worried that she wouldn't be able to do the job and she has. The junior class has the key players this year, yes.
THX- My oldest daughter WILL NOT stop singing that Quizno's commercial!!! and she dances to the tune - I love the commercial but it is gonna wear out fast!
I SAW THAT HILDAGO MOVIE! the one PP sent me tickets for. IT WAS AWESOME!!! there is hardly any advertising for it and the advertising didn't do it justice. I was surprised I did not see LLBell there. The movie is FUNNY and serious and dramatic and adventurous. I WILL BUY IT when it comes to DVD. A MUST SEE!
So did anyone else get their CD settlement in the mail? It was for the huge class-action lawsuit that you needed to sign up for about 6 months ago. They took the CD distributors to court for price fixing. It netted me $13.86. I suppose they awarded each person the sum of one CD. All you had to do was claim that you bought a CD between the dates of 2000 and 2003 or something like that.
this is for everyone who loves the Quiznos commercial... click on the link then click on the DOWNLOAD SCREENSAVER! .....hahahaha....pass it on to your friends!
Stop it! Am I in the minority here? Stupid looking rats. Makes me wonder what they put in those subs. ;)
The Pack is back! They beat Eagan 6-1 this morning and played like the team they are. KARE11 was there and they interviewed my nephew who was standing next to me. I'm afraid I might be in the shot because they came over and wanted to put a wire on me because I was so enthusiastic! lol I told them no wires. I didn't want to embarrass my family.
