anybody looking this morning?? At Lewis?
Is that the one right across from the capitol? If it is, thats the one they kept throwing us out of 2 yrs ago.

Thu, 03/04/2004 - 7:52 AM Permalink
OT

No, it's several blocks north of the Capitol. I have some stuff to do later this morning and might drive past and look it over then. Depends on how long it takes me to do my errands.

Anyone know if I can make the type on my new Comcast email larger? I'm not to smart about these things.

if it's in a browser window click on "Veiw" then "Text size" then click larger. That will change all text on all web pages though.

That could be a good thing too. :) Thanks.

If you have a "scoll button on your mouse" you can try the "ctrl button" and scoll at same time...

If I could've had this joe. It would have a great joe...but I'm not allowed ....because I gottta find a good place for a unjoe

Thu, 03/04/2004 - 8:08 AM Permalink
OT

You used great restraint in not claiming a Joe there, Kitch. Only unJoes allowed. UnJoe!!

did an edit on that post....I didn't use restrant...i just didn't notice it.....

more i read the last clue the more i'm confused....

hare and hatter each grabbed a platter....
so that makes 2 platters...
must be a reason for platters...plural...

Synonyms: bowl, casserole, ceramic, china, container, cup, manhole cover, mug, pitcher, plate, platter, porringer, pot, pottery, rapp, salver, tray, vessel, album, canned music, compact disk, cut, cylinder, demo, disc, disk, laser disk, licorice pizza, LP, platter, pressing, recording, release, side, single, take, transcription, wax, wax cylinder

hmm vessel?? as in boats?? (now I'm reaching)

must be the train thing....hhmmm bridge...train line under the high bridge...short cut...looking glass....i'm still in my same spot...

Thu, 03/04/2004 - 11:02 AM Permalink
KITCH

OK did a little walk thru again and a little more of a driveby on cherokee...just to see what I might be missing...

maybe this is something but I'm reaching....

On the sidewalks on the southend..there is manhole covers (platters)....

I know I'm reaching now and just hoping my first pick is right....
I really am trying to make the clues fit the park ....not the park fit the clues.....

and I saw a homeless guy under the highbridge drinking coffee (i felt bad i was eating lunch mickeyD's) and another wabbit.

Platter reminds me of plate - like home plate (a park with two baseball diamonds?)

Note the word tea is use prominently in a few clues. Tea could also be the letter T, a golf tee, a T in the road, an anagram for eat, or an anagram for ate.

The word figure stands out to me - figure skating?

Porter still reminds me of beer.

Good thing I didn't ask him if he wanted my food...but that walk up the hill from below is impossible ..so he would have had to come in the from the high side....
I'm 90% sure the guy was homeless with the bad he had packed with him...and the way he was dress...but ya never know....

heck the other day i saw on the news that 8500 homeless people in minnesota....I was like wow..where?

Thu, 03/04/2004 - 3:13 PM Permalink
Wicked Nick

Alot of them have interesting stuff to say, if you listen too....

theres a cool movie about homeless ninjas out in Hollyweird... Man... what was that movie..... I think it was called "Where The Day Takes You".... Sean Astin was in it... Dermot Mulroney (sp).. one of them chicks from that TV show "The Practice"....Will Smith has a real small part, as a guy in a wheelchair, with no legs... Ricky Lake is in it.... a buncha people... like.. before they got real big and stuf, its a cool movie. I think I originally saw it on IFC, back when I was still in highschool, then my dad picked up the tape at SunCoast or somethin. I reccommend it, if you ever see it anyplace.

Clue #5

Alice was curious to know, which way she should go
When she saw the Cheshire Cat and smiled to herself.
He just gave her a grin, and then disappeared again
Saying, “Look for me near a road that crosses itself.”

And the previous clue:

Clue #4

The March Hare and Mad Hatter each grabbed a platter
And offered Alice a cup with all their usual glee.
"You make it quite well, what's your secret, do tell?"
"We simply gather up the rain and stir in the tea!"

Clue #3

Hearing of the slithy toves and mimsy borogoves
Made Alice ask for a dictionary from the porter.
But when he gave her a tome as big as a home
She asked if there was any way to make it shorter.

Clue #2

Alice's adventure had begun before she saw the rabbit run,
In an outdoor setting having some biscuits and tea.
Go now and don't be late for your very important date.
Dining and cooking you'll find figure most prominently.

Clue #1.

Only those with habits like chasing white rabbits
Look in Wonderland trying to find this treasure, alas.
Vanished is the Cheshire Cat. Which park could he be at?
You might start with a peek through the looking glass.
