When Gary told me he had found Jesus, I thought, Ya-hoo! We're rich! But it turned out to be something different.

Someone can't think you're being hostile without being a cop-out, Damon? What the hell's the matter with you?

what have I said today, or even yesterday, that was false? I'm not being hostile, in anyway, shape or form.

Posing arguments and lines of reasons is not being hostile at all. If THX thinks it is, he is being oversensitive and is looking for a convienent way to disengage because he has no arguement.

ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding! A 30 second lurk by crabs. A new record i do believe.

hostile is saying that if you don't believe what I believe about God, you are going to burn for all eternity in a lake of Fire known as hell.

that's hostile.

So no one can think you're being hostile. Got it.

exactly crabs, I have done nothing remotely aggressive here, save pose theological and philosophical debates

No, people can think I'm hostile all they want. But I'm not being hostile, so their opinion is misplaced.

If I were acting hostile, it would be a whole different story

I have never prayed for your death, crabs.

crabs:of course you have.

How would you know? I tell you I haven't and you call me a liar without anything to base it on. Another example of idiocy on your part.

True, but I don't act hostile because some thinks their god>my god, or their way of life>my way of life

Maybe you are just hostile for no good reason.

Can you logically establish that God doesn't exist?

logic dictates that you can't prove a negative.

I haven't been hostile at all. Calling my propositions hostile when they are clearly anything but is a weak, fallacious rebuttal

Damon get's hostile when his extreme baldness at age 25 is mentioned.

no, just especially yours. because that's what it is, weak, and fallacious

no I don't, I'm very accepting of naturally thinning hair.

Like a thief in the night

Here's a website mapping the end of the world. You can even buy "Rapture Ready" T-shirts.

There used to be a television show on one of those preacher stations called "This Week in Biblical Prophecy." I watched it when it ocurred to me. Coupla white guys talked about the end of the world.

There is one moral doctrine. You can accept it or deny it. So is abortion. We already know how immoarl you are. You must make Satan proud.

no two people have exactly the same set of morals, much less a large group.

now why do you think yourmorality (such as it is) is the ONE TRUE MORALITY?

no two people have exactly the same set of morals, much less a large group. Moralaity is a set thing. It isn't relative no matter what you want to believe.

it's obvious you're an absolutist.

Being an absolutist requires that one knows absolute moral truths.

This is impossible

No it is not impossible. They exist whether you know it or not. A sociopath such as yourself wouldn't understand.

sure do. and as i recall, when jesus said "follow me", matthew gave up that profession and followed him. tell me again what makes you an expert on morality.

Fri, 05/07/2004 - 6:57 AM Permalink

No, most people's morals are based within one of four theories. That's not to say there is a lockstep code, but it gives me a better idea of a person's beliefs.
