Well that isn't what I was aiming at but. I got what you are saying. I didn't get into this year as you all probably know. I guess you can say that I was sort of testing the waters. But I wasn't very happy when I found out what had happened.

I guess I meant strange as, this isn't something that I thought I would ever consider but here I am.

But "running around in the snow, looking for something thats not even there" isn't in my top list of what a normal ride is either. Oh well...it's all part of the ride isn't it?

My freezer died. I went and bought a new freezer, and the day it was delivered, my television turned red. I bought a new tv from Sam's Club, (no naked old men there, either) and when I finally figured out how to work it, my microwave exploded. No biggie, I can live without a microwave....So I was buzzing the Boy's hair, and the razor started smoking...
I bought a new razor, and microwave...
The question of what we will spend our tax refund on is moot...., And I'm scared to turn on any appliance in my house. Even the water.
 Since my computer never shuts off, I can still use it....for now.
I'm thinking the pioneer way of life is not so far off for me. Heh.

as for the mystery machine...we have sightings posted online ocassionally. Try typing "mystery machine" into the peoplesforum search engine to see past photos and discussions.

We saw Barney (yup, that big fat purple thing) the other day. We got pictures of him with and without his head on while standing outside of a car on the west side.

Just got back a lil bit ago... I was out at the 5k walk thing by Southdale for Breast Cancer (my mom had it, I have an aunt thats going through it currently... as well as I had other relatives that had it), with a buncha family/friends of family

And I gotta tell ya... man... the reports sayin that there was over a million people out there aint exaggerating.... there was people all over the place... you had to walk shoulder to shoulder with people the entire time.... it reminded me of like... the state fair, only for some reason, it seemed like a lot more people..... at a couple points you could turn around and look behind, or look way ahead of where you were, and see nothing but an endless sea of people......
some peeps were cool, and gave away free lemonade, and water to walkers, and there was a water company towards the end of the walk, giving out bottled water for free, from their semi truck....

so yeah... thas how my day's gone so far... but Im bout to head back out wit my sister to our uncles house, for a family get together/cookout...

I have a girlfriend that's going through treatment right now, she has one left and then starts radiation, sounds like the doctors are pretty sure they got it all, just keeping my fingers crossed for her :)

I hope so.

My Aunt is doing radiation too.... she's having to do kemo(spelling), and radiation at the same time.... so that sucks ass...

back when my mom had it, she just had to do kemo, and didnt need radiation, for some reason..

She has to do both, just not at the same time, as soon as she has her last treatment then she starts the radiation. there is some other treatment that they want her to do but she's not sure if she will, I guess it increases her chances of it not recurring by 2% but there are some major side affects that could occur with it, and apparently these side affects may never go away after the treatment, so she's kind of up in the air with that one, tough decision :(

I realize most of you are married, but I thought I would announce this event here anyway just because I'm announcing it everywhere and hoping it starts something that I want to turn into a career.

On Friday June 4th I'm going to be hosting a singles mixer for singles of all ages. The event will be in Crosby Park and starts around 5pm. I'm trying to get dozens of people to come, maybe even up to 100. We'll be having a bonfire, grilling dinner, and playing games. The cost is $10 for the whole thing and includes food. In addition to hamburgers and hot dogs, I plan on grilling some teriyaki-marinated chicken along with pineapple and maybe some brats too. Plus there will be plenty of other things to eat and drink and a chance to meet lots of new people and enjoy an early summer's evening outdoors. well, once again I get a late night phone call from the police dept, chris was picked up in Blain this time, seems he stole a couple of bikes, but of course the stupid stupid cop said "he seems pretty sincere and he was verry cooperative so we aren't going to charge him" when is it gonna end??? The stupid thing is I didn't even know he was out of JDC, nobody called me when he was released! I don't think I'm going to court this time, they never listen to me anyway.

I know how you feel Liquor Lady. I have seen that happen before. It is an endless cycle. To bad really. I just wish that when I was dealing the same sort of thing (I wasn't the one in trouble) that I would have strapped some nutz on and said what I really think about the whole mess of events and maybe something more would have happened. The big difference for me in my situation that I got in the middle of was that I was dealing with an almost 30 year old. Seems to me that they both acted the same. Sheesh....when IS it going to end? I would like to know that too.

the only thing I'm afraid of is chris has already stopped talking to me, He had been out of JDC for almost a month and never called me, I think he feels like all I'm doing is trying to lock him up, so if I do manage to get him charged, he's going to hate me even more, and then when he's 18 (in about a year) with all of this on his record how will he get a job and be able to take care of himself? no one in their right mind would hire a kid with all kinds of crap in his past. I just don't know what to do, He needs a wake up call before he ruins the rest of his life.

The courts need to do somthing long term instead of all of this 30 day bullshit, they think that locking a kid up for a few days or even months is gonna somehow "fix" what is going on with the kids these days. they need some long term programs that teach kids respect, they have no respect for parents, teachers and even law, chris has said that he thinks he's above the law and that they can't touch him, the funny thing is that all they are doing is proving him right! that innocent face gets him out of trouble every time!

You are exactly right! He needs a wake up call even if it costs him hating you and not talking to you! Unconditional love can suck at times and sometimes you need to pay the price if its the right thing to do.

I know its gotta be hard. But I've seen it before and someday just maybe he will grow up and understand you cared enough to do the right thing.

I know, I just wish someone else would be the bad guy for a change instead of him always seeing me be the one to stand up and say what a bad kid he is, I'm sure after a while he's gotta start to feel like I hate him.

My brother was headed down the wrong path at one time. He had to hit rock bottom himself before he got his act together. He still isn't perfect but he isn't getting into trouble like he did then. Although he had drugs and drinking as a major part but he didn't have respect for anyone. He needed a serious wake up call. I agree with Ares when he said that you should get the victim to press charges...he probaby will get mad at you but chances are he will get over it. I don't know him or the full situation but maybe he needs some tough love.

it's worth a shot I guess, but the last guy that I tried to get to press charges wouldn't do it, people just don't wan't to waste their time and money on little things like bikes, they don't want to lose a day of work to go to court for something that costs $50.00
