When Gary told me he had found Jesus, I thought, Ya-hoo! We're rich! But it turned out to be something different.

Byron White

yes, but you said some lives are wirth more than others.

this would make abortion acceptable

Not if you understood my position, Demon. It is obvious that you don't.

and it would make you a hypocrite

Again you don't understand my position or the word.

THX, jethro can't agree to disagree; it's not in his nature or his philosophy.Yet he calls others "arrogant."

It's the fact that you disagree with me on a number of things yet don't have to WINan argument that makes you interesting.

This is what I wrote: We can agree to disagree but it doesn't appear that you have made any effort to underestand the distinction.

What I've read of THX's posts makes me believe that he's thought a lot about a lot of things. The fact that he's come to a different conclusion than you have is what bothers you. What you meant when you wrote that post was "I'm right and you're wrong."

What I've read of THX's posts makes me believe that he's thought a lot about a lot of things. I was referring to one specific idea. The fact that he's come to a different conclusion than you have is what bothers you. Not at all. What you meant when you wrote that post was "I'm right and you're wrong." You can believe that if you want to. You believe a lot of things that are wrong. I have come to expect it from you.

I will agree there's a difference between myself and Charles Manson.

I just don't agree that we should kill Manson.

I agree with THX that the death penalty is a barbaric holdover, but it's hard to remain an absolutist when they throw a Tim McVeigh at you.

It's hard for me to remain an absolutist on abortion when you're talking about a 16 year old girl, pregnant by some psychopath crack addict that raped her.

So I know what you're talking about.

Clinical Endocannabinoid Deficiency (CECD): Can this Concept Explain Therapeutic Benefits of Cannabis in Migraine, Fibromyalgia, Irritable Bowel Syndrome and other Treatment-Resistant Conditions?

that's the National Center for Biotechnological Information....at the National Library of Medicine.

note that it clearly states that Cannibus has therapeutic benefits for migraines.

National Institutes of Health (NIH) scientists have discovered that cannabidiol, a non-psychoactive, naturally-occurring substance in the marijuana plant, is a potent antioxidant which can prevent brain cell death in an experimental stroke model. The cannabinoid's neuroprotective properties matched or surpassed other antioxidants in the cell culture model, report National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) researchers Aidan Hampson, Ph.D., Julius Axelrod, Ph.D., and NIH colleagues.

As an antioxidant, cannabidiol might hold promise for preventing brain damage in stroke, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and perhaps, heart attacks, say the researchers.

note that it says a substance in marijuna is " a potent antioxidant which can prevent brain cell death in an experimental stroke model. The cannabinoid's neuroprotective properties matched or surpassed other antioxidants in the cell culture model"

prevent brain cell death.

Are the National Institutes of Health and the National Center for Biotechnological Information what you consider "junk science", bodine?

Maybe you are drunk.

Just to set the record straight, the Roman Catholic church opposes abortion, the death penalty and war (at least this one). But it considers abortion to be a much graver sin than the others because it is done to the unborn.

As a consequence of the possibilities which the state has for effectively preventing crime, by rendering one who has committed an offense incapable of doing harm - without definitely taking away from him the possibility of redeeming himself - the cases in which the execution of the offender is an absolute necessity "are very rare, if not practically nonexistent."
