ok---I am frustrated and come to the best of the best of our computer geeks...help me! please :)
I am trying to put this paypal code into the http://journals.aol.com/sarahandbeans/SweetieMary/website journal but I cannot get it on there -this code is supposed to allow people to click on a link to get to the donation portion of Paypal. now if they just go to paypal.com and send it to whitney than it charges paypal fees. This donation way cuts the fees out so all funds go to Mary. can anyone get this on the site correctly?
I want it right under the paypal.com and my e-mail. but above the 'call whitney with questions' part.
just add a
< at the beginning of every 'input' and the 'form' at the top a > at the end of 'form' but why wont it work as a link in the journal? :( any ideas???
now over the last week I have seen 3 little childrens shoes just sitting in the street! weird! busy streets at that. they look like size 7 child.
Sounds like the "Shoe Bridge" over near my place.
The bridge on white bear avenue over the railroad tracks always seems to have a couple of shoes/boots. Anywhere between one and a half dozen. They're there for a while, then get removed, but new ones pop up to take their place, this cycle's been repeating for years now. I almost felt like documenting it somehow.
I cross over that bridge almost everyday, and have often wondered why there were discarded shoes there all the time. Some local thing I didn't know about? An old shoe truck that hits a bump? Crazy kids from the school nearby? Crazy people from the church nearby?
I have no solid answers, unless I ever see a shoe placed out there, I doubt I ever will.
So what happens after she comes home? does she have to hang out on the sofa ;) I like this idea or maybe even hang out in the backyard on sunny days ----oh, I so long for some sunshine.
She will be off work for a week or more depending on when the pain stops, she is getting around with a walker pretty well but she can't sit for very long.
A police officer told me that when you see shoes tied together and thrown over a power line it means that a gang has beat someone up at that location and thrown their shoes over the pole. Sad, huh?
the bummer is that this is less for you but for them it is really no big deal cause it doesnt really affect their monthly payment over 30 years...what by $1 a month MAYBE!
Yeah, but she's a first time home buyer and strapped for cash. The $1000 is just going toward her closing costs anyhow. I'm not too upset about it, since that's the only discount we gave off of our asking price.
Sorry to hear about Dawg and your losses MM. Hope things look brighter and happier soon.
Sounds like there's some good news around too. That helps keep a balance and so it's all good.
Life has been busy, busy here. After having to "workforce reduce" one employee, the rest of my staff is working harder. At first they were happy to have a job. One of them now is fussing a bit around the edges. Hope she snaps out of it. There's nothing to do but work if you want a paycheck.
Otherwise - is anyone growing webbed feet yet?!? This rain is too much!
A police officer told me that when you see shoes tied together and thrown over a power line it means that a gang has beat someone up at that location and thrown their shoes over the pole. Sad, huh?
Thas not always what it means, though ninja....
We used to do that all the time back in the day, when we played baseball in intersections by peoples houses, and the shoes would mark foul lines, pitchers places.... or... football markers too....lotsa things..... we used to just throw shoes up on lines back in the day too, when the shoes got old, and we wanted to get rid of them.... that way you could see all your homies and be like "those are my shoes!!!! check it out!!!" and see how long they stayed up there.
or... theres the drunk factor.... its just funny to see shoes hangin off of stuff they dont normally hang off of.... like just a couple weeks ago, at Rivler Fest, (no.. that wasnt a typo, Shaggy slurred the word RIVER a couple years ago, and its been Apple Rivler ever since) Right near where we were camping at, there was a big ass pine tree that people had tossed pairs of shoes into.... im talkin like 20+ pairs.......
ofcourse the shoe tree pails in comparrison(sp?) to the all hailed "Beer Tree"... which is just like it sounds... a tree, litterd from top to bottom with beer bottles and cans....the more christmasy it looks, the better... and ours kicked ass :)
Hey THX, that blue shirt you had on today looked nice. Where'd you get it?
You know, I thought I saw a guy that looked like you, but I said "Naw, that guys hair is too long to be Frosti". I don't remember your hair being that long.
:-)
I got the shirt @ Mervyn's btw.
I don't normally shop @ Mervyns, but we happened to be over by the on on University, so Scribe and I stopped in a couple weeks ago.
A police officer told me that when you see shoes tied together and thrown over a power line it means that a gang has beat someone up at that location and thrown their shoes over the pole. Sad, huh?
When I was in the army, people that were getting out and going home from overseas would tie their boots together and throw them over a powerline. I did that to mine when I got out.
You know, I thought I saw a guy that looked like you, but I said "Naw, that guys hair is too long to be Frosti". I don't remember your hair being that long.
That was me. I'm in need of a haircut. I was focused on getting into your old-fashioned elevator, and it didn't really register that it was you until I was about 5 steps past you.
The $1000 is just going toward her closing costs anyhow
I guess I dont recall being able to get an amount off our closing costs- we always seam to get screwed on that kinda stuff and refinancing! all those closing costs :(
Hey ESD? did you draw that Harley yourself? How long did it take you to do this one and how big "size" is it really? Is it on your computer? Or did you draw it? Paint it? How long would it take you to paint a Harley? then of course...how much $ to do it?
hey anyone catch what all the commotion was on the Cherokee side of town thismorning? cops and helicopters all over our neighborhood -I heard on the radio the highbridge was closed down for a bit but I never got to hear what happened.
Details? anyone? Mark thinks I am nosey... I just want to know whats happening in my neighborhood ;p

THANK YOU to everyone being $ supportive to Whitney on her quest to help an animal. I am proud to have friends like you who 'back up' such a unique quirky cause. She is almost to her goal.
If you want to see how Mary is doing than check out her website. Whitney takes a looooong time typing updates. ::yawn:: But she is determined to give this animal a chance.

Yes I could do that, price would be depending on the size say a 2' x 1.5' about $50.00. I have painted a lot of bikes before so that would not be a problem.

I'm with ya TV - I'm sick of living in Seattle and London. Nice places to visit but give me a break.

Thisis what I thought the hanging shoes meant. Also as remembrance for any of our lost war heroes.
