I told Mark I was feeling so incomplete this week and just didn't feel happy accomplishing anything- didn't want to go anywhere and don't feel like doing anything. Both he and my sister said it had to do with my loss last week. It is hitting me harder than Whitney-seams to hit adults harder.
Thanks me2. I found it in Lawshe Park located up Grand from Concord going towards the courthouse. It was barely sticking out from a crack in a monument. I posted a pix in the Oakdale hunt thread. I'm supposed to win a TV (whatever that means) but they haven't been able to find the 'TV Guy' who has the thing. It's been 5 days now. Sheesh! Rinky-frickin-dink operation. I wouldn't care if it's a $50 TV, they should have had the thing on display at the place where the clues were posted. The owner of Pro Pharmacy is pissed because he said that they should have had it in his window to begin with. He gave me the cell number to the paper's editor responsible for getting the TV. No reply calls yet!
I'd skip the "schmucks" and call the city council members
I already mentioned it to the council member I know and she wasn't surprised. She wasn't part of the hunt planning I guess. I'll give it a week before asking her to do something about it.Â
If not, they're definitely going to feel the wrath of the CC!!! ;-)
You could win an audition to be on Jeopardy!through KARE11.com!
Do you think you have what it takes to be on Jeopardy? Do you want a chance to prove yourself?
Jeopardy is holding closed auditions on June 30 in Minneapolis and it’s by invitation only. If you didn’t get an invitation, KARE 11 Today has five invitations that guarantee you an audition spot on June 30.
Each day from June 21-June 25, KARE 11 Today will give out a Jeopardy answer and it will be posted on KARE11.com.
Submit the correct question on KARE11.com and you could be selected for the auditions. There will be one winner randomly chosen per day from among the correct answers.
Mondays answer: "The states west of Lake Superior that border Canada."
Tuesdays answer: "This controversial carving was discovered on Olaf Ohman's farm in 1898."
Wednesdays answer: "The most widely used personality test in the world."
Thursdays answer: "The Laura Ingalls Wilder novel set in Minnesota."
Fridays answer: "Minnesota actress who won the heart of King Kong."
Well no job yet but a very informative meeting, I learned a lot about the different opportunities in illustration and graphic design. They also want me to come back when I am done with school and show them my portfolio.
CM. You should contact Blair Reynolds re a story about your finding the button and your connection with the CC. He's a feature writer and always looking for an interesting story.
That's cool CM!! If you had continued up Grand another block you could have come to my house and had coffee on my porch.
I knew that. I was thinking on stopping by the day I found it but wasn't sure exactly which house was yours. I had it narrowed to 3 anyway. I didn't want to just run up and down the street yelling "Hey Old Timer, I found it!!". No offense, but if I would yell that in SSP, just about everybody would come running out from their homes thinking I found their medication. ;-)

Which paper does he work for? I pick up the TV tomorrow at the Croatian Hall not too far from you. I guess Len is gonna hook me up with a 19". Better than a kick in the groin anyway huh?
Lenny? Be sure to say hello to Lenny from Jane Schmidt! He and I go way back.Â
Blair works for the Sun-Current. I already took out my papers, but when you're at Pro you can pick up a copy by the front door and it should have a number you can call.
I think they're competitors. Found my copy of Sun-Current. You can contact them at 952-829-0797 or www.mnsun.com. Sun is located on the south edge of Bloomington and I think Lillie is in NSP.
You see this Reg and KC? All of these courses and I've still only made it out once this year. :-( This guy takes care of a whole typical summers rounds all in one day!
Yeah I was told they were going to do that a few weeks before they did. I had a schedule and everything of where they were going to be a when, and I wanted to go out and see them, but I thought the schedule was probably pretty innacurate (it is difficult to judge playing time, traffic, etc perfectly) so I decided not to drag my parents out there. It's cool it got television/newspaper publicity, though.
Channel 9 news did a thing last week on the Bryant Lake league and I was happy for that. It was a good little awarness thing and it said some good things about beginning disc golf and also the professional world of it.  They interviewed Timmy Gill and stuff. I was sort of disappointed that they said the game is inexpensive and everyone can play it... then showed a guys bag and discs and estimated everything to be $300 (assuming everyting in his bag was Z Plastic). I thought it made it seem like you had to pay that much to play, when you really only need to pay
<$20 to play it forever, especially since nearly every MN course is free.
Not that I haven't drained some bucks into it or anything ;)
Publicity=good though.. especially for a sport that really only needs to increase awareness for it to really boom (and maybe enforce park policies a little better ;) ). Anyone can enjoy it.... it is really the sport for the people.
I would have loved to be some beginner group in front of those guys tying things up. I'll bet they ran over quite a few people that day. I know I would for something like that. If you don't understand, F-ya, you'll read about it later. In the mean time -
atta my way!!
good to see ya OTS.
Thanks ESD.... hows life treating you?
Good just finished my 4th quarter only two left.

JUST GIVE US THE WORD CLUEMASTER and we'll all bug the paper, pro pharm, city council, etc. for ya....
BUT if it was me....I'd skip the "schmucks" and call the city council members...

I kind of figured it would be just an informational interview, but they still want to see my portfolio when I graduate.

I didn't say he's 12% Senator, I said he's a 12% Senator. Meaning he only voted 12% of the votes as Senator this year.
