You crack me up Reg.  I'll need to dust off the ol disc golf bag and show you a trick or two.  Maybe the Roseville coin will be hidden behind one of the tees where we can look for it after one of your drives.  :-)

Hehehe you guys go disc golfing, and I'll find the Medallion ;)

Just watch your head KC. You might get one of Reg's arrant disc's floating towards you.

I always like to play while I'm drinking instead of drink while I'm playing. You know that

Maybe we should all run to roseville and look behind all the disk golf tees right now for the coin! The Master has spoken!

Geeesh-no wonder I couldnt find this thread---its in the friggen GEOCACHING!

I would have found it even faster but it was hidden too easy.  I have a totally different outlook on where to look for these public hunts.

hahaha

that medallion looks really BIG!
don't know exactly what I am trying to say...or compare there ;p but seams like 'it was meant to be'.

you should use that pic of yourself as your avatar -you look good :)

I didn't know you guys were talking about all this over in this thread! for goodness sakes!!!!! in 5 posts you had both parks basically -for SSP and Oakdale! I didn't know you guessed Northdale already and those SSP were way sooo easy!!!! WOW!

what clue # did you actually go get the treasure CM? clue #2?!!!!!!!  I was trying to noodle the Oakdale hunt in the other thread-I was wondering why there wasnt a thread for these obscure hunts-then I thought 'well, its probly cause the hunts wont last long' hahahaha well, that part was true!

wouldnt that have been really cool if CC members woulda found both treasures? :)

Soooo, where is everyone talking about the Roseville Hunt? and are there any others going on? I remember last years Stillwater hunt was a joke.

#3 but I would have looked there before clue one even came out because I thought it was the perfect spot last year. I think that's why it seemed so easy to me. I had that spot in my head and the clues fit it perfectly.  Usually that's the wrong way to go about it.

you should use that pic of yourself as your avatar -you look good :)

Thanks sweetie!

Well, met up with Regman out at Northdale today. Saw the tree the Oakdale Medallion was located under, figures I checked the entire area SOUTH of this part of the park.

While I was there, I managed to place a cache, in honor of Ian's 500th cache hide. Should be listed soon.

Incidently, here's what I won for finding the SSP medallion.

Lenny says hi OT. He says your just about the sweetest person he knows.

I felt bad because I needed to have him sit in my backseat of my car when we left Best Buy because the TV didn't fit in the front. I guess I wasn't planning on having a passenger but he was a good guy nonetheless.  Even gave me a couple of free drink tokens.  My kinda guy.

MDA operatives in Minnesota are closing in on Seth McCracken and have tracked him to a link in the chain. Follow the sounds of music and laughter to the octagon of Ozzie’s wife.

Hmm.. so how quick do the coords come out I wonder, and is it just a run out, nab the cache, and leave nothing?

KITCH

not sure......its driving me nuts!!!!
I got a good idea where to look ...but if i'm wrong and cords get posted when I'm gone. I'd be ticked (screwed).

I'm 90% sure they will be out at between 4pm and 6pm on the hour.
either 4, 5, or 6.

All the anticipation...hmm.. I'd be happy with some little thing from the cache, if it's not all gone by the time I get there... Heck at this point I really could care less about a FTF on it

I guess Harriet does make sense. I heard a report on the radio a couple weeks ago about it being voted in the top 3 parks for family gatherings or some nonsense like that... The other being one in louisianna, and I forget where the other one was..

top 3 for viewing for 4th of july fireworks...

Link in the chain... chain of lakes. Kitch did you see TreasureSeeker's post?

Is lake Harriet in a chain of lakes?

Lake Harriet is part of the chain of Minneapolis Lakes I believe.  Lake Calhoun, Lake Harriet, Lake of the Isles.  I think those are all part of it.

Nice.... I bet people are out there lookin now.

Thu, 07/01/2004 - 1:37 PM Permalink

that was the first thing I thought of was a "chain of lakes"
I leaning back more to that as for ...I can't believe the clue writer would know about the "taste".

Ah cruel fate though, why do these recent hunts come up at such a popular time of year with the 4th of july weekend and all. I got stuff to do tonight so I can't be free to go look, if it were next week, no problem...

Good luck Kitch, if ya get there first, save me something!

it's midnight, and still no coords.. guess the cache is safe for another day. My luck it'll come out at noon, and I'll be stuck at work, watching everyone go and get every scrap of stuff out of it, coming back online to log their victories.
