yeah- she was so into that wood, that we were standing there whisperingly rooting for her! She's right there! she's got it! ::but she hadn't yet:: and then I saw she did have it! and it took her a second to really look at it-then she held it up a bit and fell backwards on the grass. hhahahaha it was GREAT!

Oh believe me Kitch, I have my own mental picture of your other encounter. :-P

That must have been killing you me2 seeing all of us idiots looking by that thing and not finding it.  But to see someone actually find your treasure had to make up for it too.

In the end it turns out I saw the clue differently than others heard it

-but I wanted it to be different than the typical 'follow these long final clues to a T'-because when Lilmans hunt went to 12, most everyone ran off in the right direction of his hunt without hearing the end -they didnt care what they were looking for, just what way to go. And when they got there they had no clue what they were searching for.

-I wanted you all to know WHERE TO LOOK IN -then which way it was at.
The focus was to be on what it is hidden INSIDE OF!
Most saw clue 12 as just where to go. :(

we were standing on the hill at the playground - I read the clue and they all just stood there! NO RUNNING!
I was completely mystified (as if my whole mind just sunk). So they all made me read it again. Ares was on the phone when I read the clue and he proclaimed he knew right where it was - :) but when he got to the park he ran all the way down to the baseball field pastDiggin-4-it-again and over the fence! hahaha -I was laughing

Technically there were 2 VERY BIG BASEBALL FIELD LIGHTS
(sure there were regular lights throughout the park ground) BUT nothing like the brightest lights on the field.

Then walk (MY size 7 foot) 35 feet to the west where the deadwood stump is.

pastDiggin-4-it-again and over the fence!

Now THAT would have been a site. Did he leap it like those old OJ Hertz commercials?

but which light should they run too? there were 2 on the field. Hense the "rumbling" idea to go to the light near the rumbling. But I didn't want them to run there until they knew where to look -SO "HERE's WHERE YOU LOOK" NOW run there via the tracks 1/2 NOT the community center field light

I think if we could have seen the clue with NOW in caps we would have been less confused...a little more sleep last night might have helped as well.

It's a rush how all of us look so different in the summer.  I almost didn't recognize Trent when I met him in New York because he wasn't wearing that full head mask he always wears.  It would be a great picture if everyone wore their winter garb for one of these summer hunts.  Then we'd know who was who ;-)

I'm otta ear and headin home - later

Yes, you're all welcome. You don't have to geocache. You don't have to bowl. Hell, you don't even have to drink. But I will be.

Interesting hiding spot me2. I thought for a while it had to be in that huge, half downed, tree in the northwest corner, just outside the fence (shoot I think I have geocached too much, I'm focusing on geobeacons!).

And to be honest, for the first 5 or 6 clues, with all the train stuff, you had me thinkin you hid it on an old rail line converted to a trail, probably my biggest mistake, after convincing myself on that, the rest of the clues made little to no sense to me, even after I decided it wasn't on a rail trail. I'll look forward to the clue desciptions as they come out.

On the otherhand, I did find some excellent hiding spots for a future geocache, possibly in orchard, but they'd work in other parks. And I did get a good lesson or two on what I need to focus on next hunt, so all in all, great hunt me2. BTW, I'll get those copies of the video to you as soon as I'm done compiling them, which I'm guessing will be after your trip is over?

When Me2 tried to take a pic of it... no cat. Weird huh?

She took some pics of him up at the playground, did those turn out? he was so cute, he just wanted to play all day :) he probably hangs out at the park cuz all the kids play with him, I just hope he stays away from the trains :(

ok- gooooodmorning, coffee in hand.

SPOOK! ok- Spook the boy kitty -

during the day my camera seamed to work fine. Using my camera in that park at night was definately an experience...

I tried to take a couple of pictures that night and my camera would make a 'click' but go back to regular picture mode instead of showing the pic -so it wouldnt take the shot! This happened probly about 4 times ON THE PLAYGROUND! THIS HAS NEVE HAPPENED with my camera.

Most of the pics I took I wanted to "chalk up" the blurs or circular particals to SAND DUST in the park. But when I began trying to get the kitty ....wow!

Keep in mind-when I took the picture of me and Spook, I was lying on my tummy on the playground and Spook was just sitting there with me! The camera was still on the ground so it would not move and get a blue-notice how you CANNOT see through ME!

That is really weird! I think he really is a spook! Maybe he's the spirit of one of the people that was burried there but never found? ;)
