It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.
jaguilar
mark- were there a lot of people at conway? is it really dug up?
i'm heading out soon and want to set a game plan, where to go first, etc. but i know what will happen, once we are out we will start at one park and then the order
will go by what is near, so i am looking for the best place to start
I was there this morning, and a majority of the baseball field is being looked over. Also, the tennis courts are uncovered. There is alot of the park away from the
Amy... no one checks to see if it is still there....also...it was at Cherokee park in an old navy sock burried beneath the snow... I was standing there digging when the
brother-sister team dug it up in front of me...OUCH! If your husband and you are both looking you can claim button too...doesn't matter....
How about Phalen, Clue three nine and a five and four, well the golf course hole number 9, the parking lots have signs saying 5 and 4 !. Clue 7 .. 'clue quite clear'
Well, Clear Ave leads to Phalen as well as all the streets named after trees.. look at a map. Oh, today's clue mentions round...Well, Round lake is in Phalen ! Good
Conway getting crowded. West end by ball fields quite crowded. East end by tennis courts and sliding hill not too bad, but more folks arriving all the time.
Good Luck everyone, I'm going to wait until tonights clue, if it isn't found by then. I can't believe there have been over 13,000 hits on this, and there are still several
the only clues on the location in the park seem to say you need to be where you can see the peak and away from the sledding hill (of course not on a golf course
either, but it won't ever be, too expensive to fix come spring)AM I MISSING SOMETHING??????????
After looking at the map and clues the only three left thinking about in my mind are Newell, Conway, and Rice Park. I have to check out Merriam and Conway
Man Conway does look kinda good, Ruth St. and (WoodRow)Wilson Street, and a library in the park, geez where have I been? GoldenBoy give this a fair shake,
Now having seen the reasons for Conway (#13244 - nice job, Cougar) I think I'll head out.
But I felt good about Irvine, and moved a few yards of snow.
Clue 1 : no brainer Clue 2 : also sledding hill on one side Clue 3 : the nine, five, and four make a nice triangle - I cannot tell you more, do your own on-site
investigation. Clue 4 : historical plaque; although iconoclast does NOTHING for me. Clue 5 : whatever. Clue 6 : see #5 Clue 7 : trees in a line? yeah, like chestnut,
elm, and walnut? Clue 8 : almost like they built the St Paul Company's big lighted pyramid just for this clue.
Any body comment?
I still have seen NOTHING that I like for "iconoclast"
"I" Will show you a glowing translucent peak. It's the people's Choice Award on my Mantle. I'm telling you!!!MAntel?? Mickey? Mickey Mouse...Mice behind my
couch. I SWEAR it ALL FITS!!!!! I've reached a euphoric state, it's all so clear now. :)
It is not at Conway!!!! The third clue makes ZERO sense and besides, there is no place that hasn't been dug up that the next three clues could possibly lead to...
The Peoples Champion, and the peoples choice is back, and ready for clues. Hey, Is the Rock on?He really knows what he's talking about!!!!!!!!!!! Almost as good
as I do. I'm still looking into TRIANGLE PARK, AND FRACK. I THINK THAT THOSE ARE ALL OF THE KEY PLACES TO LOOK. DEVIL'S DEN
I've been digging at Triangle Park, BC, and Rice Arlington...my back has given out (could it be old age is setting in?) was very glad to find this chat room I can still
feel part of the action. I have a feeling that somehow they are going to (perhaps I should say already have) tie our new governer into the clues.....sooooooo.....I have
been doing some arm chair hunting on my map and found a Jesse Street that runs next to Wilder Plgd., north of there is a group of streets in a row that have the
names of trees or tree-like bushes (rose, magnolia, geranium) our new Governer certainly seems to be a iconoclast, am unable at this time to see for myself what else
is around there that could fit in maybe you more able bodied souls could take a peak!
Is there anyone out there? I should take each and every single one of you to jabronii drive, know your role bvld, and then tere it is the SMACK DOWN HOTEL,
AND I'LL BE KICKING EVERYBODYS *** UNTIL IT'S CHECKOUT TIME. WHAT ABOUT FRACK, AND TRIANGLE PARK. I'LL BE LEAVING
circular summit ave=peak or the cathedral st. paul tech ???....to many parks have a logical fit here...I think we must be missing something like an anagram

Has anybody been to the park in front of the capitol? Cedar st., j. Ireland blvd(famous man), the translucent peak clearly in view, 'Jesse the mind' being the
iconoclast relating to the reform party - referring the capitol, the historical society relating to studying the past & value as well i the new - new building...flying
downhill referring to summit hill, not a sliding hill...anyone agree??

Hey, Smack. We were having some pretty intelligent conversations till you arrived on the scene. Maybe there's another chat room where you'd be more at home.

baseball diamonds still untouched, though.
Jag, there were about 10-15 people there when I was 8-11, not the 70 someone mentioned earlier! Unless it got rushed after I left.

thx for the info, i still haven't narrowed it down, might never, but i think conway and merriam both sound good, also capitol mall...
Judy is right
been to phalen, can't think of a peak nearby, but the rest of the clues do fit...
Conway getting crowded. West end by ball fields quite crowded. East end by tennis courts and sliding hill not too bad, but more folks arriving all the time.
davidc...I agree with park but am waiting to dig until more info comes through because I dont know where to even begin...what about you?
Good Luck everyone, I'm going to wait until tonights clue, if it isn't found by then. I can't believe there have been over 13,000 hits on this, and there are still several
parks being mentioned!!
I agree that Conway is a good fit... Going to dig now- Translucent Peak= (Sunray's Giant Peak)
Well, I'm going back to Conway, my lunch break has been long enough. Good luck to all!!
the only clues on the location in the park seem to say you need to be where you can see the peak and away from the sledding hill (of course not on a golf course
either, but it won't ever be, too expensive to fix come spring)AM I MISSING SOMETHING??????????
STILL say it's in my couch cushions - hasn't been overturned in years. The PP team could have easily snuck it in there. Besides I DO live on Linwood
Avenue :)
After looking at the map and clues the only three left thinking about in my mind are Newell, Conway, and Rice Park. I have to check out Merriam and Conway
though, be back in a while.
