I don't know that, but if he was, and if you have some solid evidence, I'd like to see it. If he was, it wasn't for nefarious reasons. It was because capitalism let a lot of people down at that time. It's not as simple as you think it is.
There's a Larry McDonald highway in Atlanta. He was the old anti-Commie Cold Warrier who died in the Korean Airlines crash. The plane was shot down by the Soviets.

I also told him that ESD was huge and could squish him like a bug. That was all it was.
