Third find of the day. Walked right too it...like I had been there before...hmmm...as I approached a train started by, I took a few minutes and added my name to the log and as I was walking away the last of the train passed by. Kind of spooky. Just glad not to be attacked by Spook the cat.

Very good and well thought out riddle. Was a perfect day for caching. Days like this leave me longing for fall. TFTC

12:30pm--#674--Great riddle--I just used my GPS to point me to the right part of town, and used the poem to get me the rest of the way. I was looking in the right spot to start off with, but didn't find the cache right away, then I finally spotted it. Alas, unlike everyone else, I didn't see any trains go by, but as I was on the way to the next cache on my list for the day, the good old 12:40 went past. Thanks for the cache. 15Tango

WoW Ian, turning Orchard into a cache is cool!

I cannot believe though that the cache is hidden in that same deadwood that Mucluck found the treasure. My guess is that you placed it by the big knocked over dead tree closer to the tracks.

Kitch did it. My guess is that it is a micro, smaller than a roll of Certs.

Bloody Mary, scary and contrary
How does your ghoulish garden grow

Sitting almost vacant now you construe
Great hunt babe...who knew?

Bloody Mary scary and contrary
How do you make a good stew
Here's a clue, a howlers brew
With tomatoes that give solar brew hew

Bloody Mary quite contrary
How does your creepy garden grow

I think " solar brew hew" was an anagram along with "great hunt babe" and "howlers brew"

the tomatos were actually all in a huge row in that mans garden.

All a cache has to have is something to sign. A sheet of paper rolled up, inserted into a small tube = a cache. Although this one is supposed to have a rubber stamp, so you may be right.

I guess I'll have to go look for it.

It doesn't have to have a rubber stamp...or does it???
its a form of a LETTERBOX....just my form doesn't have a stamp....

Found this in an old e-mail correspondence with my sister...

Ceasing to exist
Will _______ you in this game
Telepathy won't help you persist
Is this just skullduggery?

Here is my idea:
The word "assist" rhymes with persist and exist but serves no purpose as a rhyme (because persist and exist have the important job as rhymers)
So- I propose you change it to one of the following:

Will reward you in this game  (i like this one second best)
Will help you in this game
Will encourage you in this game
Will support you in this game
Will suit you in this game
Will serve you in this game ( I like this one best because it could also relate to tennis)
Will benefit you in this game

What do you Think of this - read them both:

You - Icesis2:
Ceasing to exist
Will assist you in this game
Telepathy won't help you persist
Is this just skullduggery?

Me2:
Ceasing to exist,
Will serve you in this game
Telepathy won't even assist
Is this just skullduggery?

What do you think?
from Icesis2: I love this clue, I think it is brilliant.
Just make sure to spell skullduggery correctly and maybe change
the word "assist" and even persist so that the clue "flows" better.

ok-KIDS was right about one of the clues BUT I couldnt tell him he was right! He was the only one to get it! and if he recalled seeing the wheelbarrows in the garden at Orchard he would know he had the right park-even when he saw them he seamed to not believe the clue anagramed to it (but I could be wrong)

Kids IMed me with this not long after the clue came out:

KIDS [9:04 PM]:

A howler's brew = wheelbarrows!

KIDS

[9:07 PM]:

Jana?

Sarah and beans [9:08 PM]:

oh-

Sarah and beans [9:08 PM]:

sorry-

Sarah and beans [9:08 PM]:

hi

Sarah and beans [9:08 PM]:

I was upstairs having dinner

Sarah and beans [9:08 PM]:

are you sure that worked out? I havnt been back to see the clue

KIDS[9:09 PM]:

if it anagrams?

Sarah and beans [9:09 PM]:

that is pretty cool if it did -but I cant say if it does or even if it really works to anything

KIDS [9:09 PM]:

well it apparently means crap

KIDS[9:09 PM]:

even though I thought I had something

Sarah and beans [9:10 PM]:

dont mean to make you feel bad-I need to go re read the clue myself- going into the forum now  did you have a nice dinner

KIDS [9:10 PM]:

yeah, it was a nice dinner

KIDS [9:10 PM]:

It hought it strange if it was wheelbarrows, since wheelbarrows doesn't fit really

Sarah and beans [9:11 PM]:

I just overate -this sucks!

Sarah and beans [9:11 PM]:

hang on

Sarah and beans [9:13 PM]:

well-that goes to say what I said earlier and to CM...if you think you figured out a clue and it doesnt work in a park, you have the clue incorrect OR the wrong park-

When I said "

Sarah and beans [9:09 PM]:

that is pretty cool if it did" I was complimenting myself -hahaha that it would be cool if it did anagram to Wheelbarrows

And then when Kids responded with "

Roget44 [9:09 PM]:

well it apparently means crap"
I burst out laughing because I wasnt pointing out it meant nothing, JUST that I couldnt tell him

I was impressed that the 2 newest people to the hunting experience: Kids girlfriend Aleshia and Mark who is DaMacMan - really had a fresh outlook on the clues and came up with the brilliant ideas (the right answers to the clues) but not many listened because they were new! I learn something every hunt-this time it was: Listen to the newbies :)

Here are the clues so THX doesnt have to scroll down from the top :)

Clue #1

As your confidence protects all you think you know
A suffering scream journeys across the plateau

You know Me2, her love for History
Could this be a true ghost mystery?
Respect the dead in this story
Or this may get a little gory

Past events outside your memory
Or maybe beyond your observation
Haunt our Saint Paul Parks

Causing the Cooler Crew a ghostly confrontation

Clue #2

Forces are at play here
So, in the spirit of this game
Go the distance to gain your fame

A field of dreams
May be an illusion
Fate and tragedy
Have caused confusion

Clue #3

Restless youthful anomaly
Swing and slide are skeleton key
Urban Legend says you can hear their laughter
Echo after midnight as if in the hereafter

CLUE #4

BEWARE!

Eagerly you decipher this deceiving clue to
Exhume a lilliputian ocular shape that enchants you
It's crypted, lurking in a deadly space
And just waiting, possessed, for you to trace

        Mwahahaha, Rest In Peace

Clue #5

Calling all Angels:
The gateway to Heaven is open!

All aboard for this ghostly ride
Do not travel to the wrong side

For not this pioneer man, but his legacy
Built an empire, such aristocracy
He had a great vision upon the hill
A phantom whistle could give a chill

Clue #6

Spirits make such a racket rattling chains
They like to play games with their remains
Freighting around their lovely bones
Persevering through the unknown
Forgiveness they yearn for
But Venus they desire more

Clue #7

photo

Ceasing to exist
Will reward you in this game
Telepathy won't help you persist
Is this just skullduggery?

Clue #8

A howler's brew sits full for you
To reap a ghoulish harvest,
But please construe
And share with Me2 - the great hunt babe!

Clue #9

This is how the ghastly story goes:

Embalmed so not to decompose
Then under rushes the pine box lay
A young boy found him, no decay
A grisly yield from this watery grave
Was it MURDER? became all the rave
Just "bleaching his bones" was finally proclaimed

So let dem bones alone and don't disturb them
A passage will show you the true way
Remember, if an eerie fog or wind blows
That crime didn't pay from the first bank that day
And watch out for an outlaw to transpose

Clue #10

Search a sacred vicinity
To locate this trinity
Discover Colonel Nest with a grin
Be sure to stop, smell the Jasmine
Crowned Victor or Victress?
You then may win!
