Anyone else think that the Rams are going to have a field day against the Vikes? Sad to say, I think they will.

What an embarrassment.

Tice seems more and more like Green every day. Bench that damn Culpepper already. What else does he need to make it happen? Sheesh! Or at least make him a back up running back or something.

He told the press that Culpepper was his starting quarterback and now it seems that he's too stubborn to admit maybe he might be wrong.

does anybody think the Vikes will still make the playoffs?

I'm not sure they'll even make the bus let alone the playoffs. I still have a little faith tho.

Oooops. Double post. That's what happens when I try and correct something as it's already sending.

Culpepper is one of the top rated QB's in the league. Why bench him? He was sacked 8 times yesterday because of the O-line. It's hard to do your job at QB when you have no time to throw let alone hand off to someone. I think he has done a good job this year so far.

Mon, 12/01/2003 - 3:17 PM Permalink
Clue Master

I'll agree that he definitely needs help from his line but he also needs to hold on to that ball and make the passes more on target like a big budget QB is suppose to. I just get so sick of his inconsistancies.

<edit> I guess he isn't as bad as last year anyway. It's just the way he handles the pressure that bugs me. You'd think he was a rookie sometimes.
His stats aren't all that bad I guess.
Culpepper Stats

Hell, put Frerotte in and see if he screws up just to shut up the nay sayers. It can't hurt can it? If it's truly all the lines fault, it will come out in the wash.

Just remember that QB's take awhile to come into their own. Take a look at Favre's, Manning's or McNair's stats for their first 5 years. Culpepper is right along those lines if not better. The QB has the hardest job to learn out there.

Go SanFran, Denver and VIKINGS!!!!!
I want to get into the record books for the most play-off losses. I wonder who holds that title? Bills? Anyone know who and how many losses? I assume it's gotta be an old team like GB or Pit or the Bears.

What is wrong with this team??? They blow out KC, then with the NFC North and the playoffs on the line, they are losing to the worst team in football? Right about now I hope they lose, because they will get blown out in the first round of the playoffs.

Pack were in a situation of 4 and 26 and couldnt hold the eagles. Its the same situation as the Vikes had against the Cards. Now they know how it feels. Also, Whats this I heard that Favre was playing catch with his dad? hmmm LOLOLOLOL IM SO GLAD THE PACKERS LOST!!!!!!!!! Why is it that when Favre wins, he holds all these press conferences boasting about winning then when he loses a game he runs off the field and dosnt speak to any media outlets? I cant stand that idiot!
next season, i hope he breaks both thumbs

Maybe he doesn't want to be critical of teammates that may have lost the game. it would be easy to be critical after some losses. Maybe Randy Moss should take that page and read it.

yeah, the only thing more elusive than #4 after that philly game was a randy moss

"who comes out of jail hiding his head under a coat and running from the media"

.

and you girls rip on favre for not being able to scramble?

pfffffffft!!!

next season, i hope he breaks both thumbs

there's only onesure-fire way to keep favre out of a game: call it "the pro bowl", LOL!

does anybody else think it's a stretch that vikesupdate has kleinsasser listed as a FA who

"Would start for most teams"

as a TE? i'd take probable starter at FB, but not TE.

Packers could make pitch for Henson

The Packers are taking a hard look at Henson, having sent more representatives — five — to his workout than any other club.

I really am excited about our chances this year. The D looks more solid than any I've seen around here for a long time! I'm not saying we'll be Raven or Tampa-esgue but we shouldn't need to be with the "O".

And thankfully Brock's chances of making the actual team, let alone even the practice squad are VERY slim.

What's with all the hostility towards Lesnar VJ?

Is it personal or did you just not like the role he played in WWE?

I think he might make the team just for the publicity he generates.  His jersey sales are second only to Moss.

Just a reminder that anyone can join our free football pick 'em group. The only thing you might need is a Yahoo account.  If not, you can set up a free account in no time.  So far Peanut, Med2K, Kitch? (Henchmen), P&G Honey ? from here have signed up.  Come on, the more the merrier.  There's only a few weeks left until the opening game.  If you happen to miss even one regular season game, it'll be hard to catch up, so get in now.  It's pretty brain dead but fun nonetheless.  You don't need to know anything about football to play , so get the family involved.

Nah... I was fine with everything about him in the WWE......even being a Viking... i think it would be pretty cool, if he makes the team, which there is little chance of, anyhow.

The reason I dislike him, is becaue of 2 seperate incidents, in which I ran into him at 1st Avenue, when he was there, watching another independant federation's shows....  on the first occasion, I was actually introduced to him by another wrestler there, who happened to be a friend of his, I said something along the lines of "Damn, Its cool to get to meet you, man....I get to as many shows, as I can, and watch WWE all the time, and one day hope to be there myself" and I went to shake his hand, and he said "Whatever, ass... get the hell out of my way" and he walked away, kind of bumping into me, as he left with a couple of his boys.

The 2nd incident, happened again at 1st avenue at the same feds show, several months later... I wasnt even going to bother talking to him, because of the 1st run in..... Shelton Benjamin was there, hanging out too (he's also in the WWE, and was a team mate/room mate of Brock, when they wrestled for the U of M)... again, I was introduced to Shelton by the same guy that introduced me to Brock... so there we are, me and Shelton Benjamin, discussing wrestling, government, popular hangouts, music, chicks, etc.... and Brock comes walking up, to get Shelton, so they could take off, because there was a Smackdown taping the next day at Target Center, and they needed rest..... Brock walks up, cuts infront of me, and starts talking to Shelton, who says "Hey.. I was talkin to that dude behind you"... Brock swings around to look and see who he's talking about.... see's me, and smiles, and acts like he's going to shake my hand, and apologize.... as soon as he see's me moving my hand up, to take his, he pulls the quick "OOH!! I GOTCHA!!" routine, and moves his hand away, and starts laughing, and says "Okay, see ya, little man!" and waves at me, directly in my face...

Now... me... having had a number of beers in me up to that point, the majority of which were free, and remembering the first encounter with Brock, I actually stepped towards him, and said "Look, I dont know who you think you are, but Ive met you twice now, in public, and you've been a complete asshole both times! What the fuck is wrong with you?!"... you could have probably heard a pin drop, anywhere in the area of where we were standing, because everyone within earshot, stopped what they were doing, because im pretty sure they thought Brock was gonna reach over, and rip my head off of my body, and toss it in a trash can.... but instead, he just chuckled and backed up, and said "yeah... well... whatever" and then he and Shelton took off, with whoever was with them at the time.

If it makes you feel better.....

One of my best friends... http://www.wrestlinghalloffame.org/champions/?names&wrestler=1535 wrestled him all the time and repeatedly slapped him around....

He is alumni wrestler at the U and often goes back and wrestles the BIG boyz as they often don't have good "sparing" partners for practice.

LOL!!  I love that shit. Most of those pseudo celebs never have anyone around to take them down a peg or two and a lot of the time that's how they end up to be assholes in the first place.  Kinda like why a dog licks his balls.

We need more VJ's in the world I tells ya. Good job bud!
