<adding fuel to amie's man on man fantasies...>

Yeah, between this and the spanking discussion, I'm feeling a bit faint.

On a serious note, send some good vibes to my brother and my grandma.  Grandma had an incident and fell down the stairs on Thursday.  She hurt her foot (and in my opinion hit her head) on the fall.  She didn't call anybody until Saturday, when she called her sister and asked sis for a ride to the ER.  She was severly dehydrated and not doing well.  Plus, she was raising hell with the hospital staff, which is totally out of character for her.  She's normally quiet and never a bad word.  She hung up on my mom last night.  I think they're going to have to find assisted living.

And, my bro is going in for some minor surgery tommorow.  Routine, but there's always a chance something might go wrong.

And, on a less serious note, the thong-wearing hottie sat next to me in class tonight.  Hubba.

Sending out the good vibes for little brother and grandma.  I'll volunteer to do some gratis CST work on your grandma, if she wants.  Sounds like she might have hit her head to me too.

Just tell M that if he doesn't pull through, we're splitting up all his beer and brewing equipment.  That oughta give him enough motivation to recover.  :)  Is this the kind of minor surgery that needs a recovery party?

Is this the kind of minor surgery that needs a recovery party?

Quite the opposite.

Just found out that grandma is in bad shape.  Mom and Dad went to visit on Wednesday and to see her doctor, as she's been in the hospital.  After visiting, they were unwilling to let her go home by herself.  She's staying with Mom and Dad right now, and I don't think she'll be going home again.  They're looking for assisted living options right now.  My parents have one step between their entry way and their kitchen/living room (raised entryway type thing) and grandma can't even make it up the one step without help.  :-(

I wouldn't say too "cow-ey". Too hard to read, maybe. :) Nice title though. Now I have to bring that disc for the road trip, you realize.

Hard to read?  Yeah, probably.  I was considering that to be a positive though.  ;-)

This one has a very "Jurassic Park" kinda feel to it. Maybe appropriate, nature exacting it's revenge on a couple of unsuspecting dorks.

Every good epic needs a trailer, amie - sheesh, haven't been watching yer brain-washingI mean media lately?

Maybe a trailer would be a good idea dude - how much can your vehicle haul?  Heh.

you could go to cafepress and make shirts outta your logo...

Make t-shirts?  I could, couldn't I?  Hmmmm.

A trailer?  How you gonna get all that crap home on Sunday??

And what's wrong with a logo?  Logomakers gotta earn a living too, yanno.  Plus it gave me an excuse to fool with some fun software.

Hey Frosti, you said you saw Queensryche a coupla times, did you see the Mindcrime tour? P just sent me ticket info, apparently they're doing that tour again. "First time in 15 years" or whatever.

He's pretty stoked since he's never seen them live.

No way!  I saw them on the Empire tour, which was one after Mindcrime.  The Empire show was one of the best arena rock shows I've ever seen.  I would love to see them do Mindcrime live.

Damn.  Looking at their website, they're not coming anywhere near here.  And, it sez they're planning on releasing "Operation: Mindcrime II"  wtf??

Oct 28th, c'mon down. I looked at the tour dates and either they skipped flyoverland all together or you missed it.

<edit> Er what you said. I dunno what Mindcrime II is.

QUEENSRYCHE FALL TOUR, PRESENTED BY VH1 CLASSIC, TO FEATURE PERFORMANCE OF LEGENDARY ALBUM 'OPERATION:MINDCRIME' IN ITS ENTIRETY ALONG WITH FULL, ENHANCED PRODUCTION INCLUDING LIVE ACTORS

A GREATEST-HITS SET WITH LIVE STRINGS ALSO PLANNED

BAND WILL ALSO DEBUT PORTION OF MUSIC FOR UPCOMING SEQUEL STUDIO ALBUM TENTATIVELY TITLED 'OPERATION:MINDCRIME II'

Art rock pioneers Queensryche will perform the classic album 'Operation:mindcrime' in its entirety on the upcoming fall 2004/winter 2005 tour, which is being presented by VH1 Classic. A "greatest hits" set will open each show, and at the end of the night there will be a preview of the upcoming Sanctuary Records release 'Operation:mindcrime II,' the working title of the long-awaited, eagerly desired sequel to the groundbreaking concept album. Audiences will be blown away by the Surround Sound audio setup on the tour.

Vocalist Geoff Tate, guitarist Michael Wilton, guitarist Mike Stone, bassist Eddie Jackson and drummer Scott Rockenfield will open each show with a "greatest hits" set ending with the smash "Silent Lucidity." Local orchestra string sections will perform with the band in select cities. Michael Igor Delassandra, formerly an official composer for the Vatican, will accompany Queensryche and perform on keyboards.

“The band is so excited to be performing 'Operation:mindcrime' in its entirety again after not having done this in 15 years," says Tate. "We are presenting it in a whole new way that finally does justice the intricacies of the story and the personalities of the characters.”

'Operation:mindcrime' will be recreated in full with enhanced production. Live actors will embody the fascinating characters of this chilling tale -- interacting both on stage and off. Vocalist Pamela Moore, who toured with Queensryche recently, will be back to provide the vocals of the album's pivotal character, "Sister Mary." New video footage will be incorporated as well. Queensryche also performed 'Operation:mindcrime' in its entirety in 1990-91, but this time around new and expanded video footage will be used. Fans who saw the show in 1990-91 will enjoy a more vivid experience this time.

One of the most exciting parts of each concert will certainly be the finale -- the preview of 'Operation:mindcrime II.' Fans have wanted a sequel ever since 'Operation:mindcrime' exploded and earned the band critical acclaim and commercial success. In particular, fans have always asked one burning question in relation to the 'Operation:mindcrime' plot: "Who killed Sister Mary?" The new album, scheduled for release in 2005, will address that question.

The North American tour begins in October 2004 and another run of dates is planned to start in January 2005.
