I tried to call you ESD, last night around 10 pm but the line was busy. I had a feeling! I almost picked the 15th and then I changed it later. As I got thinking I thought you two got preggers before Christmas. because if she was sick around Christmas and New Years- alot of people get pregnant when they are sick.
so didn't someone pick the 16th? what hospital? and dialated to 3-4!!! WOW!!! thats babies coming quick!! ESD-thats not funny-really!!! I bet she has your daughter by 6 tonight.well, hopefully a quick delivery/labor for the long sore months you endured! whawho!! this means she may only be about 7 pounds ---yeah :) nice small size!
I just called and my doula is now on alert. Contrax seem to be about an hour apart. She told me to keep her posted and let her know immediately if my water breaks or they get closer together. In the mean time she told me to take a nap. I'll be doing that soon.
We will be at Regions, which is literally like 5 minutes from our house. I too am praying and sending out prayer requests for a quick labor.
I layed down for a little bit, no sleep though and things seem to have slowed down. No contrax since 12:30p. I'm drinking soup now and plan to lay down again when i'm done. After i'm rested i'll try the raspberry tea & birthing ball to see if that gets things started again. ESD came home early from school .. too nervous / excited to stay there. He says he's going to take a nap in case it's a looong night.
Looks like this little one is going to take after me... she's a stubborn little shit!! I've tried the ball and now i've tried walking around the house for 10 minutes and still nothing. UGH! I'm going to tackle the stairs next!!!
ISABEL, ISABELLE, ISABELLA. Eavesdrop at a play group in SoHo or Santa Monica tomorrow and we'll lay odds that you'll hear at least one version of this so-hot-it's-afire name. A venerable Spanish and Portuguese variation of Elizabeth (it went from Elizabeth to ILSABETH to ISABEAU to Isabelle), Isabella is known to every school child as the name of the Queen of Castile who helped finance Christopher Columbus's expedition to the New World. And since then it has had an incredibly rich history as a royal name, a literary name (Shakespeare's Measure for Measureand Henry V,a narrative poem by Keats, novels by Jane Austen and Henry James), even a soap opera (Loving) and star-baby (chosen by Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, Geraldo Rivera, and Jeff Bridges) name. But despite its burgeoning popularity, we still can't restrain ourselves from recommending it, because it is simply one of the most enduringly beautiful names we know. It's got some pretty terrific nicknames and foreign variations too: IZZY, IBBY, BELLE, and BELLA; the Gaelic ISHBEL and the Scottish ISOBEL; and the Old French ISABEAU (the name of Michelle Pfeiffer's character in Ladyhawke.)
And yes, I have taken a birth control pill in my teens to see if I could catch a buzz because I'm a guy.  It just made me think of Ponch from CHiPS for some reason. ;-)
haha you have to buy their magazine to get into their site... no thanks
I didn't have to buy anything either.
Â
Dawg and ESD are all the buzz around here- TC and I have been calling eachother to see if we had heard anything yet. nothing :( ---she'll come when she's ready :) not when you are! haha

New babies are so exciting. Hope things are progressing and soon this phase will be over.
Then the fun of raising them starts...the good, the worry and the miracle of it all.

I always figured that would have been John... he always seemed like more of the gay type.
Still nothing exciting to report other than another big burst of energy that's now keeping me awake. UGH!
Darn..I was hoping for an update.
