There was a black truck with signs up on Southview yesterday too. He has lots of signs out there.....nothing wrong with that. It's good to get involved.
yep...saw the (blue or black) truck today...
Awesome action shot LL!! Looks like a blast
Was out geocaching up north on Saturday and saw these weird rays cast in the eastern sky (opposite the sunset) of Lake Mille Lacs. Oddly enough, my camera actually recorded them.

Wow! Cool. It looks like it could be a PS pix but it's not. Weird
awesome pic!
No Medallion Hunting in Ramsey County?
thats not even funny!!!
Hey don't look at me, I even ditched geocaching early yesterday to hit the primary before the polls closed (okay okay so it was storming outside too, but that was only the second reason I got inside early)
FallColors Video

Isn't that beautiful? I have to decide when to take my fall trip to northern Wisconsin. Either the 25th or Oct. 2nd. I'm thinking I might catch the cranberry harvest if I wait until the 2nd, but might too too late for peak color.
I'm heading out to St Croix State Park in about 10 minutes. I should have some pics when I get back tommorow.
Soon as I get back from my Washington trip the colors should be ready around here, at least I hope... Then I'll have to go to a few spots and take some pics. Still think that old church OT mentioned would be cool with all the fall colors around it.
Wow, got back from camping today. Everything at St Croix State Park is green!
My mom and her husband live right next to Lebanon Hills park... me and my sister are  gonna be down there for dinner tomorrow, I'll see if I can snatch my moms new digital camera, and get a few shots of the park/colors then.
Here's our campsite from this weekend:
Our tent is the little white one on the right.

Year of my birth JOE!
This is from the trail we hiked on the shores of the St Croix River

Sweet tree that has had all the dirt around the roots eroded away, yet it abides.

We had a 5 lb bag of gorp sitting out on the picnic table last night that we were munching on. This guy

decided to make off with the whole thing! Damn racoons!

The old fire tower
[Edited 3 times. Most recently by on Sep 18, 2004 at 09:14pm.]
Some sort of raptor, probably a hawk, as seen from the fire tower

[Edited by on Sep 18, 2004 at 09:16pm.]
The view from the fire tower. And as you can see, nary a fall color in sight

The campers

[Edited by on Sep 18, 2004 at 09:32pm.]
And look, we were able to locate some fall colors after all

[Edited by on Sep 18, 2004 at 09:33pm.]
A trip up north isn't complete without a stop at Tobie's

I've got half a dozen mixed sweet rolls waiting for breakfast tommorow. Mmmmm.

Hey Frosty, where's that fire tower located? I need one for a locationless cache yet (assuming some other geocacher hasn't nabbed it yet).
Cool pics!
Yes, very cool. I felt like I was there with you. We found a fire tower while camping once too but can't remember where we were. I'll need to find those pix. I'm way scared of heights and the tower we went up in didn't have one set of rails towards the top. I think I crawled the last few flights. And the floor door was locked shut of course.
Tobies' French onion soup is the best on the planet. French onion soup and Bloody Mary's are an acquired taste that only a handful of places can get right. Tobies got one of them right anyway. There's a bar in Kerrick that has killer Bloody's on Sunday's. Anyone else have a suggestion on either?
[Edited by on Sep 18, 2004 at 11:27pm.]
I've had the french onion soup at Panera, and as far as the few restaraunts I've had it at goes, it's the best I've had.
Thanks KC - I gotta try it now

Birthday Year...
Joe!
The birthday year Joe's will be coming fast and furious now I think. I had to wait forever for mine to come up because no one was using the thread, and then I had to be really fast to get it in between Frosti's fall trip pics. Looks like a nice camping spot Frosti.
