It looks like peanut and Purple&Golden Honey are the only two that haven't finalized their picks yet.  There's still time for anyone to play along.  Remember that it's free.

Hey jethro, what did you do to get placed at the top of the board anyway?  You have pull with the Yahoo folks or what?  ;-)

One more repeat and then I'll stop:

Good job by the Vikes but the D scares me now. I don't see much improvement. Of course that could be because Irvin was hurt. Still we need more depth on D.

I agree on the D. But am glad to see that they're tossing the thing all over the place confusing the other team.  5 passing TD's for Culpepper!  Great job!

And Wolvie holds the lead by a thread. Lets see how he does next week.

I wouldn't be to worried about the D. They'll come around. They had to adjust to Irvin. The two guys they picked up today for corner are pretty solid from what I've read. They were slotted to start on their respective teams but one was let go for cap reasons and the other because they wanted a younger guy.

They are also without Mixon who is a leader on the field. They also faced one of the best lines in the league. They'll improve each game, they are all essentially new to the system except a few. Yes there is concerns. Hovan better start producing or he should be replaced by Scott or Martin. So I think they will improve, yes it's a cause for concern but one game does not make. They held the boys to 17 pts. With our "O" I'll take 17 points against every day. Dallas was a playoff team, no they aren't a lock for the "Bowl" but a solid team coached by one of the best and we beat them soundly. I would like to see less of the soft zone that Cotrell implented for Dallas. There's no reason to give receivers 10 yards. I hate that crap. If I ever see the "prevent" defense again I'll scream. But I do think the D will get used to eachother and gel a bit more. Time will tell.

Is that a new rule about being able to tackle any player once the QB is out of the pocket?  I don't remember Moss getting F'd with as much as he did this last game.  Even during those games where Daunte was our leading RB.  Or was it that the Dallas coverage were just being pricks?

Why did we never go deep to Moss? I don't care if he was doubled covered or not. Why with a first and goal don't you play pitch and catch with Moss? Why was are offense coaches calling such a bad game?

BTW,

Hey Dante! When you are running with the ball at the goal line,USE TWO (THAT'S 2, LEFT AND THE RIGHT!) ON THE DAMN BALL!

I'd hate to agree with that fat fuck Madden, but you're right in that we needed to use this guy for more than a decoy.  He's only a decoy as long as he's used and proves himself to be a threat in the first place.  The kicking team sucked as well.

Granted, the officiating cost us at least 2 TD's with Hovan's non-holding call and TO's non-TD.  But we shouldn't have needed to worry about that in the first place.

Hey all need help. What's the word up north? Is Williams or Moore sarting Sunday or is it unknown or will they split carries?

Tue, 10/05/2004 - 2:14 PM Permalink
ThoseMedallingKids

I would think that Williams, if healthy, will get the start due to his experience.  But Moore will definitely get carries.  Just not sure what the balance would be.

Tue, 10/05/2004 - 5:43 PM Permalink
KITCH

Last I heard....

Williams is listed as the starter....but...

He will should only get the ball on 3rd downs sits.....I'm sure as long as Moore doesn't drop the ball he's going to get a boat load of carries....

Normally the newbie RB's SHINE when they get an chance like this!!!!!

Mewelde is going to get allot of carries. I liked what I've seen so far of him although admittedly not much. If he does well Bennet will be out of here next year. I thought Robert Smith was fragile. This guy is built like a potato chip.

Saying that would be a diservice to potato chips everywhere who are much more durable than he is. A stiff wind could tear his acl.

Luv2Fly

No kidding. I think it's time to sucker some team into trading for him. Perhaps a D lineman. Someone call Miami. And get Ricky some more ganja!
