Sounds like our house. Whenever we do anything around here as far as updating or fixing up it always turns into a huge week long project. I'm really hoping we can sell this thing next summer. We need a bigger house now with this little pumpkin, her 3 doggies and her black kitty friend. We are constantly stepping or tripping over something.
I needed to add this cute picture to the thread before you change your avatar. Adorable or what?

Im a lil late here, but the pic of the oldschool bus, that was posted, was cool... my moms dad (i guess I shoulda just said Grandpa.. it woulda been easier), used to drive those, as well as trolly cars, back in the day....
also.. did anyone else notice that the thing up on the top said "special"... haha... it was the "special bus"

Larry advanced to meet the third place qualifier Kris Stevens. Both bowlers started with a strike/spare/strike. Kris rolled
an additional strike/spare/open and closed with two spares/strike/spare. Larry opened the next two frames and closed with
a double/chicken for the win. Larry 210 (181 + 29 handicap), Kris 205 (192 + 13 handicap).
Sounds like it would have been exciting to watch, or be a part of...
wow, I've never heard of a chicken, what the heck is that??
Sounds like it would have been exciting to watch,
Hell yeah...after supporting and watching Kris bowl since 9th grade...make it to two High School State Tournaments, qualify for four National Tournaments, win the Minnesota Singles in his last year of junior eligibility, we were ready for "the big time"
or be a part of...
He appeared cool as can be, and was excited I'm sure. It was very cool.
My mom's been bowling since before I was born... and the guy she's married to now bowls too... he's had bunches of 300 games... and has gotten watches, and trophies and golf clubs to prove it, lol.... it got so bad, he just said one time "ive got too many plaques... give me a new driver for my set of golf clubs" and they did.
He started bowlin right handed, and then started having hip problems, so had to swtich and learn how to bowl left handed, and started mastering that, and kicking ass, winning tons of crap, and placing high games all over the place, and then his hip started bothering him again, and now he's back to right handed...... heh.... fun stuff though... i wish I was that good.

I'd never even heard of Trick Pony until you posted that picture.Â
</old>
I've never heard of Trick Pony either.
Must be one of those new "Gansta Rap" groups I've been hearing so much about.
:-)
I thought they were named after a hot rod Pinto.

Didn't Ford used to sell a "Pony"?
Mustang?
No, an actual "Pony".
They didn't have it long. It was mid to late 80's if I recall correctly.
Yeah. It was a stripped-down Escort.
Yeah, that's it.
I bought my first new car in 1986. A Honda Civic hatchback. I also looked at Ford Escort and remember seeing the Pony.
In 1962 I was a college student, and I remember going down to Southview Chevy when it was on Concord St. in SSP and drooling over the Chevy II, soon to be known as the Nova. I was young and foolish. ;)
I was still in high school then.
I was still in high school then.
In 1962?
How old are you, Frosti?
Well, I think it's a given that I'm the Oldtimer in here. ;)
I think I get it.
Frosti was saying in 1986 he was in HS.
I graduated HS in 1986.
I get it now too. haha. I was thinking he looked pretty good for his age!!  :-O But men do age more gracefully than women.Â
But men do age more gracefully than women.
I don't think so. It's just that for some reason it's more acceptable for a man to be older, chubbier, grayer....
I don't know why that is.
I graduated HS in 1986.
Haha TC! We had a few of those too! We had an old Ford van that you had to remove the cover from the motor, which was in the front seat kind of, and you had to put a pencil in the little dohickey thing on the carborator to make it start!
I couldn't begin to count all the cars I've had.
For some dumb reason My parents thought better to buy a car at 250 bucks vs. buying a nice car...
I spent more for used cars growing up vs. just making the car payments on a new car. I'm very serious on this!!!!
I used to buy a car...try to fix it and keep it running myself only to drive or tow it to the junk yard and sell it.
I know 3 of my cars sent to a buddy of mine for demo derby's.
I really wonder how many....I'm thinking about 15.Â
this is all since like 85 to 92ish...then I just said the hell with my dad's BS thinking and bought something worth more then 1k.Â

New car in high school?
Well, it's not like it sounds.
To make a long story my girlfriend at the time (Future wife) was 4 years older than I.
We were living together, and she needed a new car.
I graduated HS in 1986.

Haha, You would have been a 16 year old with a 2 year old kid and a Honda Civic hatchback, what a stud.
Oh....
Nevermind.
you guys are making me feel old :>(
I was defending my country in Germany in '82
Heh... I was born in 81... and graduated in 99.... do ya feel any older now? ;)
As for cars...
My first one, I got from my grandpa, and it was a 1974 Plymouth Scamp... we called him "Run" cause he looked like somethin Run-DMC would cruise in... it was one of them oldschool metal cars that rusted apart, before the engine was ready to die..... they dont make them like that anymore...
my 2nd car (and last one, so far) was a 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Sierra, that I got from a friend of my step dad.... i drove it for like 5 months, and then on the way back from camping one day, with 2 friends, it died in the middle of the lowery tunnel on 94, because the engine was crap...... during morning rush hour... and we had to push it 3 exits down the road.... that was fun......and yes.... it also had a name...... "Lil J" was his name.... and a month after I got that car, Shag's got one too... only his had more rust, and yah.. you guessed it, we named his "Lil Shaggs".... oddly enough... his car ended up suffering the same "engine was crap" fate, that mine did.
