It's time for the Medallion Hunt! The first clue will appear on PioneerPlanet just after midnight Saturday, Jan. 22. Come back here to compare notes with other treasure seekers, but be certain you read the rules on the Planet's Winter Carnival page.

We were digging at Conway with those 200 people and we felt there was no real downhill attraction. We rule Conway out.
The mall area is pretty dug up, but I believe it has to be there somewhere...in a baseball perhaps. Good luck to you diggers. I may or may not go out tonight, it will
Well Allison...that is not exactly what I meant ... what I mean is the adorn the front door could mean that the 9,5,4 reference is out there somewhere in front of the
park... a "door" or guiding entrance to the park...see what I mean.... ? :0 Not an exact address.... :)
Westside... I sure hope the next clue helps to narrow it down... I am exhausted!! Haha... I wont dig unless it really helps! But plan to be there tonight if it does...
otherwise I will still go for sure tomorrow and poke around a little...we will wait and see... :))
I went to St. Louis Park Senior High and i graduated in 1997. How about you? You know, I still am wondering if the consider the State Fairgrounds "a Public Park"
I still don't understand how the clue writer would expect you to unscramble an anagram when you don't have all the letters. Spelling it out is one thing, but giving the
letters randomly one at a time would just be evil.
Allison - were you digging at Conway today? I spent 7 hours out there and there are many 9,5,&4 combinations that work. Just need to figure out the right one.
hey everyone... when the clue pops up tonight we can save alot of traffic by all goin to the PP home page and reading it, printing it, then pondering it until we have
something meaningful to add in a post around 11:30... nothing worse than seeing webcrossing down because 20 different people posted the clue... we're already at
14,000 posts this year as compared to 9,000 for the entire hunt last year... so please SAVE POSTS... thanks....
Not in St. Paul?? Well, the official address for the State Fair says St. Paul at least from what i know! What city is it in, then? I was sooo sure with the giant slide and
the 3 stations...4, 5 and 9..and the fact that it's a park. And the state fair is historical but it's also new...but a few other clues didn't work.
There is a stake at Conway that has the numbers 6,5,4 & 3 on it. 6+3=9 and that would leave the 5 and the 4. Did anyone that was out there see it? It's by the
I was at Conway today, twice. Once from 12- 1:30 and again from maybe 3-4:30. Yes there are various combinations of 4,5, & 9, but none of them felt right.

Yes Rock.. I can help you out...but why do you need it e-mailed?
Rock you are back looking at Newell?
MushieW,
I guess we will find out in less than an hour (I hope we at least find out the park!!!)
At what park is the entrance 954?
rock- do you go to CDH?
I hope I remember who I was writing these to!
It was Pig's Eye, and we may indeed venture out with the new clue.
WestSide, I was referring to the Cooler Hunt. I am a Medallion newbie. Or threebie
Amy what school did you go to? what year did you graduate?
hey regalman ..do u have a light???...do you still thinks its the park...???
The mall area is pretty dug up, but I believe it has to be there somewhere...in a baseball perhaps. Good luck to you diggers. I may or may not go out tonight, it will
depend on how vague the next clue is.
where in the world do people get "st. francis" being spelt out of the clues????
First letter of every clue, Doug.
Well Allison...that is not exactly what I meant ... what I mean is the adorn the front door could mean that the 9,5,4 reference is out there somewhere in front of the
park... a "door" or guiding entrance to the park...see what I mean.... ? :0 Not an exact address.... :)
And what park does St Francis have to do with?...Merriam?
That is the name of the park. It is a "new" park. Shepard road runs by it.
doug-- the first letter on the first line of each clue are rearranged to spell saint francis
st francis can be related to Highland. What other parks though?
Oh no, I understood that Mushie. I was just wondering if anyone had seen such a thing. Maybe I just didn't redescribe it very well.
Westside... I sure hope the next clue helps to narrow it down... I am exhausted!! Haha... I wont dig unless it really helps! But plan to be there tonight if it does...
otherwise I will still go for sure tomorrow and poke around a little...we will wait and see... :))
All right Brewman, you have my complete attention. Howcome I don't see this park listed anywhere???
There is really no Peak at Highland park though..and also it was at Highland 3 years ago, or so...
I think this next clue is gonna make fools of all of you, Battle Creek is the place to seek.
St Francias is also the name of a hotel turned appartment on 7th place in down town. Hmmmmmmmmmmm
Interesting the whole hunt has gone by and Harriet Island has that view of everything, just funny it was never really mentioned seriously!
I went to St. Louis Park Senior High and i graduated in 1997. How about you? You know, I still am wondering if the consider the State Fairgrounds "a Public Park"
~ 45 minutes to go ~
I bet this site will be messed up when 11:30 rolls along. Sometimes I couldn't get on until midnight! Maybe we'll be okay because we're on early
okay Allison.... :))

can anyone tell me the name of this"new" park off of Shepard Road
so far the clues are evil
hey, does the thing by the posts say the wrong time for everyone else too?
Amy,
The State Fairgrounds are private land and not in St Paul
its at red rock
Any suggestions on the top three parks?....I think Hillcrest, Merriam, and maybe Como...anyone want to disprove any of these just tell me..
where's red rock? why do you think it's there?
the time on this is 10 minutes slow for me...anyone else?

Well see ya all out there, wherever it may be. :)
how are you guys eliminating newell
Hillcrest, Highland, Conway=top 3 picks from me
yes...10 minutes slow freshman
Ok, I've been out celebrating, and I've gotta slog about 3000 posts. Is it my imagination or are we still not drop-dead sure of a location?
Not in St. Paul?? Well, the official address for the State Fair says St. Paul at least from what i know! What city is it in, then? I was sooo sure with the giant slide and

There is a 9 5 4 on the door of the Library at Hillcrest..and at the school theres a wreath that "adorns" the door
Thank goodness I have a DSL line. Last night I got the clue at about 11:27-28
freshman....did you go to Hi-C?
There is a stake at Conway that has the numbers 6,5,4 & 3 on it. 6+3=9 and that would leave the 5 and the 4. Did anyone that was out there see it? It's by the
water fountains.
how are you guys eliminating newell
newell is safely eliminated due to the fact it is COMPLETELY dug up right??? plus theres no peaks (towers) in view
I was at Conway today, twice. Once from 12- 1:30 and again from maybe 3-4:30. Yes there are various combinations of 4,5, & 9, but none of them felt right.
