maybe sting should sing it... ...oh wait nevermind
TY for the link kitch. Brisket is almost an art form down here (along with chili), just figured I would give it a go. =)
I think the main reason its more popular in the south is the PRICE...
I've bought brisket in minnesota as high at $5 a pound...thats a major rip off!!!!!
same thing with RIBS its a rip off because we "think" its a good price vs. the south knowing is a cheap cut of meat.

I own a sh**load of smokers and have smoke a ton of meats.....brisket is the most fun because I stay up all night drinking beer and cooking....only to brag about it at the next day...saying I slaved for 14 hours for dinner.
Just about any cut of meat is cheaper here, at least in Texas. We eat more steak than hamburger because every supermarket is constantly having specials.
Well I did the brisket in the oven since I don't have a smoker. Had it in there 5 hours at 275. Came out great! Tender, fell apart trying to cut it, and juicy! We made BBQ sandwhiches with it. I am going to love experimenting cooking brisket.
Well why don't you UPS some of it up here ;)
Because I'm greedy!
If anyone plays Everquest let me know please. Just interested in knowing.
My step-brother is into Everquest.
He's so addicted he calls it Evercrack.
sim city is my crack.
I was an Pimpwar.com addict for about 2yrs.
Our gang was into Unreal Tournament
THX,
It is Evercrack =)
I've avoided playing it for that reason.

There' s a chess game on the Mac that always beats The Rat.
I can never beat a computer chess game, cuz I suck at chess.
Both my boys are into chess, and the older comes close to beating me if I don't pay attention.
I was just thinking.
Weird thing is, I always whoop him at checkers, and that's a far easier game.
There' s a chess game on the Mac that always beats The Rat.
That one beats me also, I am into Ghost recon right now, or Hit man 2 for the PS2

"You never turned around/to see the frowns/on the Jugglers and the Clowns/When they all did tricks for you...
A garage sounding band, hooting roller rink organ, and the singer spitting out chunks of mocking lyrics. Icy, nasal voice.
"How does it feel?"
Sarcastic question never expecting an answer. Pretty raw stuff from a 23-year old kid from The Range.
The Rat has seen five Dylan concerts. It always brings down the house.

Harvey Weinstein's long-abiding passion to get Martin Scorsesean Oscar is finally going to pay off.
Their new movie about the life of Howard Hughes, "The Aviator," is an action-packed, stylish epic that is easily the most involving motion picture of 2004.
After seeing the gorgeously realized biopic yesterday morning, my guess is that it will not only be nominated for the Academy Award, but that it will win without too much trouble.

I can't wait to see this movie. As someone who obviously loves airplanes that alone would do it. Howard Hughes was an interesting charachter to say the least.
I hope DiCaprio can pull it off. I am not a big fan of his acting.

I read your link, Rob. It does sound like a worthy movie. If the reviewer is right, Di Caprio pulls it off.
I wish a happy and blessed Thanksgiving to all my Water Cooler friends/sparring partners!
You too Muskwa. I hope you and yours are well :)

Frickin Hilarious! Thanks for posting Gramps! Where did you find that?

Here's a copy in case they delete it. I work for Target and that'll definately be the talk around the water cooler tomorrow. So did you do a search for a BJ at Target and found this or what? I love it. There's actually 3 different listings.

And yes, I have added it to my wish list ;-)
As a matter of fact, I've put myself down for 10 to make it through the holidays. Shipping is even a deal when you buy 3 or more BJ's!!

actually, I think Blowjob is an actual EP by a group called Sober
I know. And it's a CD from Luna System as well. But I assume that Target will pull the items once all the hits come in and tie up their bandwidth.

Guess I'll have to not complain about having to go to Target now ;)
"Honey, why don't I go to Target for you".
I'd wait 4-8 weeks for that price.
What a deal.
I want to call Target and see if they have that in stock.
Where did you find that?
I saw it on a blog that I read. Yes, it is an EP. What were you guys thinking it was?
By the way, that page went missing now for some reason.

I knew what it was....just thought it was funny.......geez.
Just picking on you. I thought it was hilarious, that is why I posted it.
What blogs do you read, Dan?
http://www.instapundit.com/Â is one of the best I have found. Pretty good at looking at both sides of the issues. Lots of links to things otherwise missed.
Yes, I like Instapundit. Also Little Green Footballs, The Corner, Captain's Quarters, Michelle Malkin, and several others.

This thread is not supposed to be political, Muskwa.

It's not political.
Â
Thank you, Torp. I didn't mean it politically. France has no stature in any realm.
I can see what your saying. In this country ridicule and resentment of cultures and nations that don't agree with the U.S. has become so commonplace and popular that it hardly seems political anymore.
But no one has erased say, Mynamar from a map and thought it was funny.

France would have ceased to be a nation decades ago if it wasn't for the U.S. End of story.
We ask them for help and they refuse.
Screw France.
The U.S. would have ceased to be a country before it even became a country had it not been for France.
I stand up for France too much around here. But if someone called me tonight and said "be in Paris tomorrow" I'd be packing the bags and straightening out the loose ends on the way.

Man to attempt to land WITHOUT parachute.
Jeb Corliss Gets Set For World Record Landing Attempt
Posted Sat Dec 04 2004
By Tiffany Storrs
Perris, CA (November 23,2004)- Pioneer B.A.S.E. jumper Jeb Corliss and Go Fast! - sponsored test pilot Luigi Cani, have paved the way for a world record landing attempt of a wing-suit—minus a parachute. Jeb and Luigi teamed up to gauge speeds and gather data to safely land Jeb’s wing-suit. Testing was critical, as no one has ever survived a landing attempt without a parachute. Jeb flew in free fall donning a parachute alongside Luigi, who was at the controls of the world’s smallest and fastest parachute—known as the ICARUS VX-39. The two were able to gather data using GPS systems attached to Luigi that tracked exact forward speeds, exact fall rate and glide angles needed for a safe landing.
After two days of test piloting, Jeb Corliss said landing the wing-suit was possible as early as next year. "We found there is a definite and reasonable speed for a landing attempt sometime next summer. We’re now developing four different types of technologies to land safely—it’s very important to land with zero injuries," said Corliss after analyzing data from the test flight.
