I jumped his case the other day and was basically making him crazy this morning in response to his rants. :)

No threats.... I was trying. All he kept saying was leave and go away and buh bye and K.... nothing that made much sense. Doesn't seem to be very keen on life.

It's interesting that a number of people, many who have lurked watching the news threads, will finally say something about Bill and what he says/does.  It's much like you said OTS.  I know previously I've said much the same things about him.  He'll always play it off as others starting it, or that it's all entertainment to him.  If it's entertainment, he sure does seem to take it personally.  You can try to change him, but basically I think most just give up, leaving him to be himself.  He does a fairly good job of making himself look bad.

FWIW,

He's helped me out with a lot of veteran's issues, and our e-mail has always cordial. In fact, I've never had any problems, but I don't get into politics or news.

I get a headache reading his stuff. He uses the bold/underline/italic like it's gonig out of style.
