Dude, you don't have a Clue what I think or "Believe" in... But if you want to yank-your-crank with PEDO, you will find that offers of a friendly hand from most anyone in here, let alone me, will be few and far between...or hadn't you noticed that yet?

So even you can see how little you really say here. Lots of nonsense ranting and raving flowing from your fingertips but no clear idea on what you are trying to say. If someone can't get a clear idea what you think or believe in then you've just made my point AGAIN

You need to learn to post 1 time, and don't try to explain yourself too much... Nobody gives a shit. K?

How about you need to learn to live with me posting as often as I want. If I have to read the crap flowing from your mouth then you can read my opinions too :)

Me pointing out your lame post is BS?

This goes back to you always being the victim right? Put me on ignore if you choose. I really don't care. You will still rant and rave and I will still point out how big of an idiot you are.

Why are you asking others to speak on your behalf? I'm only discussing your very words and comments. Do what you said.. ignore me.... or live with it... either way I don't care.

So their readers will think it's going badly and demand that we get out.

Bill, you want us not to take things seriously around here?  Does that mean that we should ignore or joke about the stuff that's going on over in Iraq, or veterans' issues?

ThoseMedallingKids

Did you consider that perhaps you get creamed for it because of the way you treat people?  You want to be taken seriously yet you also say this is entertainment.  You're giving mixed messages.

Kerry goes to Iraq and "met with Soldiers from his state, asking them what he should tell Congress about the war in Iraq. The troops complained to Kerry that the good work that they are doing is not getting reported in the United States."  http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/050106/ids_photos_wl/r3180220448.jpg

Kerry then goes on to do some Bush bashing saying that mistakes "included former U.S. occupation leader Paul Bremer's decisions to disband the Iraqi army and purge the government of former members of Hussein's Baath Party." http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2005/01/06/MNG2VALREG1.DTL  So Kerry would have left the Baathist in power? How nice.

That is right. I am in Baghdad right now, and you would not believe how much these people want us to be here. Now, I am not going to try and mislead anyone, I do not go out on patrols everyday and gather with the public, but I am surrounded by people who do.

I am proud to be here to represent the good Iraqi people. I am honored that most of them are glad that we came. And, contrary to popular belief, a lot of them still want us here.

I am also the 2nd guy in on the photograph GrandpaDan posted earlier this week....HI !!

And I, too am happy Fold-folded.

I will let the rest of us here know that we have a warm welcome in St Paul, and elsewhere!!

I am with B/134th Signal Co. We are a Hastings Army National Guard unit, and we have been deployed since March 11th.
Talk about bad news... the day the SPPPWC medallion was found last year, I came back to work... tired as hell from 2 weeks in the cold, to find out that... 1. The medallion was found... and 2. I was going to be coming here Talk about a bad day!!

Thanks again, and know that we are all thinking about you guys at home as well!!

I don't want to post my address on-line, but Love4Vino, and Me2 have my address here. If you want to send anything, it would be great. I hate asking for stuff, especially from strangers.... But most of you are kindred spirits....
With that in mind, we really need a 1954 winter carnival button. Um... it is used to keep our generators running... No, really, I am a mechanic!!

 Thanks

Send me an egram if you have time and tell me what sorta stuff you could use. You won't be asking.... call it curiosity. Then I'll see what i can do from here.

I'll talk to me2 or Love4vino and get the address.

I was a communications guy..... My generator never ran on buttons...... are you trying to pull my leg here? ;)

Zephyrus!!!

Great to finallyhear from you.  Hope you and all are safe there. Tell us what you can about what is going on over there.

Your picture is on the K102 site now, you celebrity you.  While you were still stateside, you flew home with the husband of a lady that I work with.  He is a cop if that helps you narrow down the choices (I think a county mounty).

I think that everyone here is proud of you and the others, but we still debate whether the war was the right thing to do or not.  Glad you got our package and hope you are safe.  E-gram me when you can.

P.S. you got an e-gram.

I don't know if you get to keep up on the football games or not Zeph, but a little while ago the Packers kicked our butts (we should have won) at the dome.  On Sunday we kicked their butts in Green Bay. That controversial picture is of Randy Moss pretending to moon the booing Packer fans after one of his touchdowns on Sunday.  I wonder if Sloop (an old packer fan who used to post here) got to see that one? LOL

Zepher... I certainly hope you get to come home soon, and all in one piece.

Please don't try to understand anyone on these boards from what you read... Because frankly, this place is full of Bullshit...and you most-likely, will fail. Best of luck...

It is nice to see you in a different tone.
I am not trying to judge or understand anyone here, just a place to read up on what everyone thinks is happening here.

And the comment earlier about Fold-folding... that was merely directed to your apparent mood. I am glad to see that you have calmed down....

Anyway, I would like to know what is happening in Baghdad... All I can see is a wall... So bring it on!!

Oh, and thanks

So Zeph, what't the opinion of the troops you come in contact with about the media coverage and of the mission itself?

Tue, 01/11/2005 - 9:08 AM Permalink
zephyrus

So Zeph, what't the opinion of the troops you come in contact with about the media coverage and of the mission itself?

I can only honestly give you my opinion, as we don't discuss what is going on here in day to day conversation. We are here, it is happening, why talk about it...

But it is really a hard question to answer. We don't get the news back home. For the most of us, all we see is a glimpse of the news while we are eating at the dining facility, as for being able to hear it there, that's a different story. Way too loud.

On the radio, the only english speaking station that we get is AFN, American Forces Network. You would think that for all that we supposedly learned in Vietnam, that there is no reason to censor the news from our troops... but it is still happening. It may not be as bad as the stuff I had heard from tapes of AFVN-Saigon, but it is still sugar coated.

The only real exposure to the news that we get is from the newspaper, which is free from the dining facility. That paper is Stars and Stripes. Imagine that.

So, we have read all about the vehicle armor that we are supposed to be getting. It sure sounds good, but we are getting the same stuff that we got in Kuwait prior to coming here. It is armor, but shadetree armor. But I will say that I will take anything that I can get. You would not believe some of the stuff that you see here...

In Stars and Stripes, we seem to be pretty fairly represented on both sides. I would love to ask my wife about the news back home, but she stopped watching the news last March when I was deployed. All that I can hope for is that the pros and cons are getting fairly represented in a mature and honest manner. If that is happening, (which it wasn't when I was last at home) then fantastic. If not... oh well... maybe next time.

Most of the troops that I talk to have stated that we are here with just cause. The path we took to get this involved may not be the greatest subject to bring up; but we arriveds here after the decision to invade was made. So we are pretty much to the point that we have to make the best with what we've got. We are here to help Iraq. Which is good... they have no solid government now, nor do they have an adequate Army yet. We are here for that and are grateful for the opportunity. But, as always there are others here that think we are totally wrong to be here. These people do their jobs and missions no differently than those that believe that we should be here. We still have to do the mission, and do it to the utmost of our ability. So that is what we do.

Man I talk alot... My fingers hurt, so I think that it is a good time to quit...

Thanks for your concern...

Zeph,

The wife is putting together another package for you.  She heard that you liked the Crystal Lite drink powder and was wondering if you want more.  Any candy or personal stuff we can send you? Packets of mayonaise or anything else? We need a list of what we can get you.

My daughter said to tell you hi.  My son got mad at me when he found out I wrote you last night without saying hi for him.

Keep your head low and I'll write to you again soon.

Hunt for WMD cache ends

"The hunt for biological, chemical and nuclear weapons in Iraq has come to an end nearly two years after President Bush ordered U.S. troops to disarm Saddam Hussein. The top CIA weapons hunter is home, and analysts are back at Langley. "

The question is, where did they go? Everyone believed he had them. Where is the stuff he never accounted for. Their are only 3 plausible explinations.

1) He sent the stuff out of the country prior to the war.

2) the stuff is buried out in the middle of nowhere were it will be almost impossible to find.

3) He destroyed it. And never bothered to tell the U.N or show any proof he got rid of it.

Of course Bush lied. He knew they weren't there, then had teams go look for them and tell us they aren't there it's brilliant. Oh wait, he's a moron, oh wait he's evil. Oh wait...well never mind.
