You know one of the things I remember most about that hunt is those guys who were digging a tunnel through the snowbanks that surrounded the hockey rink. They worked so hard - and were in the wrong area. It was fun to watch their progress though.
Inks sat on that snow pile the night before it was found.  That night's  clue had been about a path along the south side of the park. After the initial digging up the path stuff that everyone was doing, he went and plopped down on the snow to think about clues with the friend he was with. We had all been out earlier, but the kids were little then and needed to be in bed so he went out with his buddy and the wives stayed back.
Painful for me was my boss not letting me go at 3am that day in Cono when Kathi Hogan came by me and picked it up. I didn't even have work to do! I did nothing until 7am and then went out there. If only I had the extra 4 hours : (
I'm trying to find a copy of treasure Hunters Guied. I thought Ruminator Books would have it for certain, but alas, Ruminator Books is no more. Where can I find the book?
B) MICAWBER'S BOOKS is this year's honorary store at which you can get the Guide. They're located near the intersection of Como and Carter. Give 'em a call at 651-646-5506.
Yea Nicks the one that gave me the bad news about the find. I was just giving up anyways after being there all night.

was Newell in 84 or 85 - my first hunt was Newell but I always forget the year -
That was 1984. Inks sat on the pile of snow that broken record was buried in. Another close one.
Really? Holy Cow, the earmuffs and the record? I never knew that!
I only remember walking twords the area when the guy who found it goes running twords the NEWS van. :(

Just slide you map book under that X when you get it.  It's all yours for the picking.
Then you can click the pay pal button up top there and send your 100 dollar payment to webaster@coolertimes.com.
Yeah, well that's not how it was advertised, so I'm not paying!!
I didn't read that there was "some assembly required" with this book. Besides, that X is bigger than some of the parks. How's that gonna help?
might want to make sure this one is archived 2
