The cooler crew is an online community that is made up of folks with a commonality
that involves gathering in parks in the dead of the winter and because we have this
obsession in common, we find other parts of us that have commonality too. - TerryV
Who goes to a picnic in February?
The Re-Hash Bash is always open to all Diggers, Hunters, Clue-Writers and Lurkers. Discuss the Medallion Hunt, and have a good time with those of like obsession. It's a great time! The Re-Hash Bash is a family affair. Spouses and kids (even toddlers) are more than welcome! Come early, stay late and eat, then eat some more. It's a potluck deal. It really is a fun time. It helps bring closure to the hunt for the year.
Another fantastic get together!

The CoolerHeads are a group of people who participate in the
Pioneer Press Medallion Hunt during Winter Carnival .
The Bash began in 1998 at Cherokee Park. It is always on the Sunday after the Medallion is found, and is held at the location where it was found. The link above is where all the clues were analyzed (over-analyzed !), accepted, rejected, discussed.
What you need to bring.....
- Bring a dish to share: dessert, salad, hot dish, whatever you like.
- Bring your own drinks.
- Bring your own plates, cups and utensils.
- There will be a fire. logs are needed !
- Check the forecast, but come prepared for "changing" weather.
- There have been gas stoves and charcoal grills in the past.
WILL WE SEE YOU THERE??
The queens are coming to the PDG? Sweet!
I was wondering if anyone is going to be there right at 7 to eat?
you eat whenever, art.
I don't eat there. I just drink.
I'll be there early I hope.
We will be there early.
I expect to be there by 7pm although I may have to leave early. I actually have three things going on that night (which somehow seems to happen every year).

He was there. JOE!!!
I won't be needing the 2 new books at the RHB....i bought them at the bookstore today!!!

Yeah, they look a little glazed over ;)
haha! glazed. Funny!
I just realized I won't be able to make it to the PDG, I have to go up to St. Cloud for the night, I'm really bummed.
Mr. Med Hunter/Map Guy - I'd like to buy a copy of the book/THG, are either of you planning on being at PP on Sunday night?
Hope you all have a great time there, I'll be there in spirit and hopefully I'll catch up with you all Sunday or whenever people go down to ma press.
Â
See ya at PP M2k
Just wondering something thats probably not gonna make sense after I press the "post my message" button...
If the Pioneer Press, is "Ma Press" does that make Star Tribune, Pa Press? Shouldnt it be the other way around, since in pretty much every way possible, the Star Trib, is kind of.... well... the "beotch" of the two??   That and it would make much more sense, to call the Pioneer Press - Pa Press, cause ya know.... the two initials.... "PP" works for that too...
But think about history....Lady Liberty and Mother Russia kicked the crap outta the Fatherland in WWII.
yeah... I guess so...and besides... chicks rock, too..
well.. most anyways.

hahaha - chicks rule!
"stupid factory: where boys are made"
sound familiar Mucluck?
I'll have to watch my beer intake on Saturday night. I plan on getting up really early to start hunting.
Whaddya mean Mapey? It didn't stop you last year. Don't you remember dragging us all to The James J. Hill house and making us dig around the greenhouse?
It's gonna be a long day with the screenings and PDG later. I don't think I could handle a long day of drinking then getting up early besides.
Sorry for the delay, just got off the phone with the clue writer..

CM..I changed the previous post.
That's OK - Jake might wanna use the info.
Nice cover Mape Gui.
You'll have to re-write the clues though, I changed my mind and hid it in a different park.
I figured the park you picked was only to promote your CD.
So Map Guy - Are you guys writing St. Paul into the first clue or not?
Well MedHunter, you know that Scribe and I always have had a liking for Nina Clifford park....so I think we'll be keeping it in St. Paul.
Â
By the way...this is a Jose.

If he tells you that he'll have to dispose of you....it ain't pretty, many have seen the shores of Harriet Island for the last time.
