Thanks for the info, maybe I'll take that advice and get the fuck out. It's obvious what everyones opinions are, what from the posts ive seen, and the numerous e-grams ive gotten from everyone, acting like you all really care, and give a shit, and actually know what going on.

Its been a fun ride. But here is where I get off. Thanks a million, guys. You rock. Not.

Good luck to Jake and the rest of the Medallionators, the soon to be finders of this years saint paul winter carnival medallion.

What's a piker?

well....

Possibly from Piker, a poor migrant to California, after PikeCounty in eastern Missouri.

BUT!!! --I've also heard it refered to people that Like going to Fort Snelling....because of Pike's Island. -Since YOU would NEVER hunt for the medallion on Pike's Island.....I'd take that as one of the biggest insults you could ever take!!!!

SYLLABICATION: pik·er

PRONUNCIATION:

 pkr
NOUN:
Slang
1.A cautious gambler. 2.A person regarded as petty or stingy.
ETYMOLOGY:

In the movie 'Snatch" with Brad Pitt, they called people 'Pikers" a lot. Some kind of gypsy I think. It's an english thing I think.

Anybody want a Ricky Henderson bat?

Instead of collecting carnival memorabilia, I'll just collect hate mail.LOL

Piker means a cautious gambler or stingy? I've been called waaaaay worse than that!

Exodus, someday you'll realize all of us are e-grammin you and putting our two cents in because we CARE. It was You who brought the rift on the internet, before that I didn't even know. However you take the attention; that is your problem, as for me you will always be one of my favorite Clownz.

weird.....now why would a girl bid on baseball cards and porn...hmmm...must not be right.....

I love how the CC comes together to screw with a jerkwad out in cyberspace. No one messes with our scribe, except us!

By the way, if he/she is a reseller they aren't a very good one. Like someone previously said, you would think the best time to bid on Carnival stuff would be mid summer and then sell it right before/during the hunt.

OK, I just re-checked, and there's only 10 in that lot that I need, and only 3 of those are older. So I'm not gonna bid anymore.

I checked out the link ares posted, and I would have used it. Easy to set up, and the first 5 are free.

Check off your buttons, then PRINT your checklist

I have about a dozen copies I'll bring.

If you change IE view settings to smallest, it will print on one page.
Well, it did for me.

I have a custom-crafted sterling ring, with 333 on it. Back in the early charity gambling days in Minnesota, 333 was a VERY lucky number to find.

I haven't collected pins in the past and I don't think I am going to start a large Scribe or Ian-like pile of pins. However, I am interested in some of the older ones with neat designs. I will be looking to buy some at the pre-dig and am going to bit on some on ebay using the sniping tool.

On another note, I got sniped in the worst possible way recently. I bid on a purse. My high hidden bid was $73.89. I was the only bidder until the last second when a sniper bid $72.89. I was totally bummed to have to pay my highest bid.

Woo Hoo, the seller of the big lot just e-mailed me and said she lives two miles away! She will refund my shipping and give the lot to me in person!

Ian, I will go through and see if there are any extras for the years you posted.

I e-mailed her a few days ago, and asked about that. She seemed very nice. BTW, how high were you going to bid?

BTW, how high were you going to bid?

Scribe and I talked about it cuz I said I would pay for it as a Valentines day gift from me. She said she would have gone to $151.00.
